I'm fully on John Henry's side for everything he did in this episode. The only thing that i might not agree with is not letting Mateo see his mom but even then it's iffy. Clark is being too lenient with how he's handling Bruno. Bruno has tried to kill him and John Henry on multiple occasions and has tried to kill Jordan too. What more does Bruno have to do before Clark treats him like the villian he is? This is the one thing this show/the writing has done that I absolutely hate. Clark shouldn't be this naive.
I do think they should have let Mateo visit Peia (without Bruno), but otherwise I agree that John was pretty much justified in everything he did. Main Street was clearly a fight to the death. After he got punched into the sky, Superman was too far away to stop John from killing Henry Miller, which means he was also too far away to stop Miller from killing John. Regardless of whether John could have swung with less power, killing Miller was definitely self-defense.
You say Clark is wrong in his handling of Bruno, but Clark was literally about to get everything they wanted from Bruno until John Henry blew it. How is he not in the wrong?
I have loved Lois and Clark since I first saw them back in the nineties. They are the it couple for me, and I love their love so much. Yeah i think if they wrote the action scene a bit more like : John henry hits miller and he's down, then hits him again in the head execution style. His argument would've worked.
Eric, it isn't really about John Henry being justified in killing Henry Miller. He definitely *IS* justified. The real issue is that once he kills someone, he has to live with that decision for the rest of his life. It will also change how other people, including his daughter views him. They may rationalize that he had no choice (though he did, as Superman pointed out) but they will also harbor an unspoken fear of him that they didn't have before.

While the plot doesn't move as much as it did in the last 2 episodes, tonight's episode of Superman & Lois is still an emotionally satisfying episode that has plenty of moments. Lois' story line involving her having to have surgery to get rid of her cancer, was emotional. I always love seeing Lois and Lana interact, as they always get emotional. It did a little awkward for me though, when they mentioned that the surgery would involve them having to remove her breasts. That was a little uncomfortable for me LOL. The flashbacks involving Clark buying Lois a very expensive dress for an award was very emotional. I always love the flashbacks with Lois and Clark. It was funny that she ended up not winning it in the end though. John Henry and Bruno Mannheim's rivalry throughout the episode was amazing! Easily the best part of the season. Sarah put it perfectly earlier in the episode, a case of Romeo and Juliet, where the parents hate each other, but the kids love each other! The fight scene between Henry Miller, Superman, and John Henry was amazing! The fight scenes looked like they had a huge budget on them. So looking forward to more of these fight scenes, later in the season! Really hope they do not disappoint. Matteo and Bruno's scenes were very good. I love the conflict between them, and I am glad that Matteo has been calling Bruno out lately. Very interesting when Bruno showed Matteo that he had the body of Bizarro, and that Bizarro is the key to saving Peia. I wonder what it is? Should be interesting, and I hope Bizarro returns very soon! Jordan and Jonathan, with encouragement from Sarah, reconciling was hilarious. I loved how Sarah told them to literally hug it out. Yes! I've been waiting all day for this reaction. Love your reactions guys keep it up ps. Just googled it it's still Wednesday US time i thought you guys were late with the reaction 😅😂
How was John Henry supposed to know that hit was going to kill him? He took a harder hit from the hammer when it showed up. After that it was just a hit from a regular dude, why was that the hit that killed him?
The hammer can absorb kinetic energy. You're right that the first hit should've killed him, but it didn't for "plot", but the second hit would have absorbed all the energy the powered guy was using, speed, strength and blasted it back at him, so it wasn't a regular hit exactly, the hammer was designed to fight and kill superman after all.
@@Stygiophobic well no actually... the first hit from the hammer was a calling hit which John could have caught and then swung (he has before but it hurt his arm badly). as for the killing blow, A) getting hit a second time causes more damage than the first, B) that was a hit from the ground and around his head, C) John is a very well trained soldier who has never missed his target so far and lastly D) that last hit was only only strength, he didn't have his suit equipped to enhance his strength nor does the hammer absorb energy (the impact damage is based off of momemtum and distance).
@@iamzedv1914 the show literally said in previous episodes the hammer absorbs kinetic energy the farther it travels. And it can store built up kinetic energy.

I’ve been feeling this since episode one, but I love how magical this show is. I feel like a lot of modern Superman stuff loses the magic of this character.

The whole John Henry killing the guy doesn't make sense. I'm not talking about any moral or ethical issues. Miller was shown to have near Superman level power, he took a hit from Superman that knocked him fifty feet and exploded a car with no issue, traded punches that caused windows to shatter. John calls in the hammer which travels a long distance, hits Miller but doesn't kill him. From season one, we know the farther the hammer travels the harder it hits. Yet John picks up and swings the hammer with no armor and Miller dies from impact. Yet the force of the blow only causes Miller to fall down. This makes zero sense, and seems like bad writing. The first hammer blow should have been the fatal one, or get his armor to work.
It's my understanding that the hammer itself builds the kinetic energy. The suit is just to protect John. And I assumed the hammer just knocked him down because it wasn't accelerating to attack. It was being summoned to John, and John used that summoning to hit him. I'm not saying that not making any of this clear couldn't be considered bad writing, but as far as the mechanics of the world are considered, I think the scene makes sense.
Oh gosh, please don't tell me you guys are like the guys who are like "we can't control ourselves because we are men". I really enjoyed the reaction otherwise tho, and I really like that they showed Lois' struggle with her surgery, it's a big thing, especially if you like them.
Being a devil's advocate on heroes killing versus not killing. Should we even be questioning Super heros are actually good guys. Given in movies, tv or computer games how often they kill ? Though devil's advocate hot take, Marvel superheroes might even have a higher body count that DC superheroes. Comparing two recentish super hero games: Spider Man vs Gotham Knights game. No one in Gotham Knights hero wise kills anyone. Yet how often does Spiderman's Peter Parker web sling and sling enemies off a 40 foot skyscraper to the ground ? A lot. Just saying. Sometimes I think the villains in both DC and Marvel could even have lower kill counts than heroes. But it was interesting hearing you mention Man of Steel. Though I know a lot of people hate the film for the origin story they used. But I think some people who hate that, I don't think they understood the back story during production that DC was being sued at the time, and that's why they used Man of Steel as a title and why they had to change the origin story slightly, due to the licensing and copy right of Superman being in the courts at time, is my understanding. But with Superman killing Zodd in MoS the understanding I had, was what made Superman understand why he can't kill and that set Superman on a no kill path in that part of the movie DC universe at the time. Overall though not justifying super heroes killing, and a few dc super heores and marvel super heroes have gone to the killing side at times. But when you throw people off rooftops or smash people in the head with a big ass hammer, it is very questionable :)
I really love this show but come on. John Henry is all of a sudden the bad guy. Seriously. Natalie and Mateo are in love already after one-and-a-half dates. There's no way Clark and Lois are that active and she's angry all the time. He is Superman after all. Loved the Lana and Lois scenes. Sara is being written much.much better.

I’m with John but I think he should at least let the son see his mother.
think im on John's side on this
The whole John Henry killing the guy doesn't make sense.
Maybe the first blow of the hammer weakened him enough to the point that the next hammer blow took him out.
I think it's simple as John Henry was going for the kill with the second blow.
Men who have had orchidectomies can have prosthetic testicles inserted. Getting kicked in the balls is painful because testicles have nerve endings. ;1
Rock Star Tina Turner passed away this morning at the age of 83.😔
EVERY EPISODE MAKES ME UGLY CRY WTF
Lol
bro its impossible to always take fights to open land smh can't people stop being sensitive over property damage lol it's a superman show bruh
They ruined the flash finale, so sad
I thought it was pretty satisfying 👌 a bit rushed, but satisfying
@The Wrestlin’ Era nah, A New World Part 1 should’ve been the finale. Barry having one last day with his parents before we get the full circle moment from the season 1 finale.
@@cinemaclips6074 you're joking right? Rushed fights, cecile flying and beating a speedster, just patetic
@@joojjorge2226 Im not saying it’s anything spectacular & believe me no one hates Cecil more than me. But it was cool to see all the Villains again & seeing Barry & Iris get their happy ending. ⚡️
How exactly was it ruined? If you've been watching all season you'd know how it was going to go down.
am i the only one who figured out superman doesnt know how to fight? he only throws punches and doesnt block, he relies on his strength that when people like miller or bizarro comes, he figured strength cant knock them out.
Wonder Woman addresses that in Superman/Batman apocalypse. That’s why Supergirl was more impressive in the fight against Darkseid than Superman
@@stargirl963 yeah bbut in man of steel, superman knows how to fight abit.
Nice episode, but with a really bad thing. Since when a nazi deverse more respect than John Henry Iron (even if the choice of JHI was not a good one)....
Nobody was respecting Henry Miller, they're worried about John Henry. He's strong enough that he doesn't have to kill, so him doing it shows he's losing restraint.
That's why they're worried about him, not angry at him.
@@BeyondTrash-xe1vs I'm really angry to see Superman beining so neutral with a nazi and a little to hard with Henry.
I hope u guys one day do a reaction to the movie No country for old men
Weird episode focused way to much about on what Louis is insecure about. Also everyone acting like John Henry is wrong for not letting 1 killer see another also no assult charges on Bruno😂😂😂
for John's situation, nobody has actually witnessed him and Bruno fighting and so they if they went to trial Bruno would probably win (put simply).
for Louis' situation, imagine losing either your balls or your dick...have some empathy man
@@iamzedv1914 ya I have empathy for real people not for this made up charchter played by an actor.... Just wasting screen time "have some empathy man" 😭😭😭😭🤡🤡
@@jimmylee9120 ok...
@@jimmylee9120 It's obvious this show is above your IQ level. Stick to F and F series.
@@jimmylee9120 That's terrible logic lmao. By this logic, humanity should completely disregard storytelling as an art form.
Not to mention this is a real issue a lot of people go through, seeing it on screen can be a cathartic experience for them.
Lois is flat chested sooo
Not at all the same.
