looks like quality control issues / powder coating, non threaded cross bars, brackets not curved properly.....get with it Nissan or just sub it out to Prinsu.
WHY OH WHY!! - DID THEY HAVE TO DISCONTINUE THE FACTORY ROOF RAILS? WAS THE COOLEST FEATURE OF THE FRONTIER IN MY OPINION - NOT FOUND ON ANY OTHER TRUCK!! THEY ALSO MADE THEM HARD TO GET ON THE PREVIOUS GEN DUE TO ONLY BEING AVAILABLE ON THE PRO-4X - IMAGINE A MIDNIGHT EDITION WITH SHINY BLACK ROOF RAILS!!I - AND SO I AM AGAINST THIS ONE BECAUSE THOSE DOOR CLAMPS LOOK TACKY...
Thanks! There’s nice clearance, about 4 inches. My wife doesn’t like not being able to stand up through the sunroof…I’m glad it’s there to keep from her doing that. Lol
I think it depends on the dealer. I bought mine from a “local” (2 hours away) dealer and he said he would replace parts. If you ordered online, they may not be so amenable. Because they were so far away, I just used an impact driver and called it a day, if you have a die and tap, you could try to thread them yourself. Either way, you may want to use a little anti seize on the bolts.
I didn’t, but wish I did. Certainly should tap them all before screwing in the bolts. I still have a couple that aren’t completely bolted in. Fortunately, they’re not on the same crossbar
@@OregonOverland I hand tightened all of it first and used the hex to turn it a bit. I'll buy a 1/4-20 tap tomorrow and retread every crossbar hole. It sucks that it came like this.....I have some sems bolt that really won't go flush at all
@OregonOverland is your front brackets flat? When I tightened everything my rear brackets are flat but front aren't. Seems like I got the front mixed up
All my brackets are flat. Once it was all on, I loosened them all a bit and then had help holding one side firm against the truck while I tightened the other side
@OregonOverland you tightened the 8 hex first to the brackets then your adjusted and tightened the brackets last correct? Seems like I got the front brackets mixed left and right then
I’m liking it. I think the biggest drawback is the lack of accessories built specifically for the rack whereas Prisnu has A LOT of things built just for their rack. I also think other aftermarket makers make things, lights, etc. that fit Prisnu racks over the Nismo. Just takes extra time to install those accessories.
How is it that this rack cost so much? Prinsu racks are going for like 700 bucks
Would love to see a video of the light bar installation
Coming soon!

Thanks for sharing. It's unfortunate the kit has those minor flaws considering the price of these

How well does this rack clear the sunroof? Great video by the way. Definitely gonna subscribe.

easy to remove? That windshield will be bought to replace. I'm on #3, gun-shy to say the least...
Was a relatively easy install. Hoping for the same if I ever want to take it off
I’m have the same problem with the cross bars not being completely threaded any tips or should I just call Nissan to get them replaced?

Did you tap the treads in the crossbars? I find that some of them are not long enough so I have some that won't go all the way.

How bad does it Whitstle on the highway?
Not a whistle. But certainly can hear an increase in wind noise, but that was to be expected.
how are you liking it 5 months later? cant decide between this or a Prinsu rack
