I'm a 64 year old man. And a big fan of FabRats and Matt's off road recovery. Absolutely loved this video. Thank you all so much ❤
As much as I always enjoy your builds, this is your best video since the Firebird episode. It's so generous of you to give away a car into which you've invested so much of your lives; you are wonderful people!
Your videos are great. It’s like “ In the life of the rich and famous but it’s in the life of this guy with a welder”
Funny… the preview snip of this comment ended “with a wel…”
…and my vile brain completed that as “…well-endowed wife.”
I would say based on the level of joy I see that they are exceptionally rich. Anyone who can say they have enough is far richer than a billionaire who needs "just a little more" to be happy.
@@timkaldahl probably the richest people on youtube money can't replace a circle like that
There is no chocolate in that white hershy thing.
You people are good folks . I hope. That someday I can meet all of you. I am only 65 years old , but I remember my 69 dodge coronet RT. It had the 3 big taillights in the back. I wish I still owned it. I was only 17 when I bought it . I surely do miss it. You people make me happy when I watch your videos.....thank you. ✌
870 miles on a new build? Talk about standing by your work! Great job Fab Rats team! ✌
That's the warranty
@@BR-ms9lj No doubt! 😆
What are you amazed about?
This is not a self-made device. A car that you put together from known good parts must drive 1000 miles without problems.
Or is the standard in the US so low?
If the Wrecker can do 1000km offroad without problems or cracks, that would be a sign of excellent work.
@@kayfelix5054 Is the standard in the US so low??? No. And hey buddy, if you can do better, then post a video on RUclips and I'll watch it and make my own assumptions on your build. Until then, I think you should shut it.. you and your kilometers. Big mouth
You are all very special people! It looks like the car is in good hands now and it's probably a forever home too. You made the new owner very happy. It was really cool watching what you did for him.
This was the best video I've seen, I'm from the UK,and I'd love to vist the states, but it will bever happen I'm terminally sick so this is my road trip, thanks Paul, Matt, Michelle and Jaymie, awesome love prayers wish to all that read this from Truro Cornwall UK
**GOD BLESS YOU & YOURS!!!**
Hi Phil, greetings from Ogden, Utah. Since you loved the road trip episode, you might also like the RUclips channel "Sidetrack Adventures".
Love and prayers for you
I'll be praying for you Phil.
Best wishes from from the Isle of Wight. I'm like you; I would love to go to the U.S, but I will never be able to afford it. Good job that we got these daft guys to keep us happy..
This is one of the best feel good vids this year. (the other one was Rudy surprising Colin with his square body.) All smiles for the whole 3 adventure packed days. So good that a genuine “old car” buff like Doug was the recipient. I really expected Michelle to run up and hug Doug immediately, but I had to wait to almost the end. Great road trip with great friends. Thanks for sharing
Hey guys you need a vacuum canister. The old cars never produced enough vacuum continuously. The canister holds the vacuum you need while accelerating. Best of luck with the trip.
Yep... I was just going to suggest a vacuum canister. In lieu of that, maybe some bailing wire? Fun video!
You may have just helped me solve my trucks issue.
also a must for big cam engines too.
What I was thinking. Lol
Heater issue: Vacuum bottle, Or bring the vacuum hose into the car and have the passenger suck on it when you want heat.
I had a 1965 coronet with a 318 single throat carb and a factory custom interior with bucket seats, floor console, automatic shifter on the floor. I put 300,00 miles on the first motor before changing it, and had around 200,000 miles on it before the car itself just started falling apart. I loved that car and wish I would have kept it. this was from the mid 70's to early 80's.
What a wonderful thing to do for him! That journey to give it away will be the memory of a lifetime for the 4 of you.
As an Aussie watching from my PC at home here in Melbourne, I love this kind of stuff as it shows me more of America and the landscapes and quaint little towns. It seems Doug is a great bloke to win and have the Coronet and I'm sure he will cherish it for many years to come. Well done to you all and this is yet another reason why I love watching your channels.
Trade me houses for a week. I'm only 6 hours from fab rats lol
Yes indeed, love the tour and the landscapage. (Oi Oi Oi.)
Great road trip guys it was cool Matt and Jamie could tag along.Doug and his family seemed like cool owners of the ol Mopar.
This sounds like a Palmer road trip!!!! Not always fun but ALWAYS memorable!!!!
Happy for Doug, that was definitely a car guy car. Short of a frame off restoration it will never be something that you hop in an drive all over, it will always need love which is the definition of a car guy. Congratulations Doug!
Congratulations Doug! Wish it was me!! Of course, I'm not sure whether Matt and Jamie would have tagged along since it would have been a 26+ hour road trip! :)
Enjoyed traveling with y’all! Happy for Doug winning the Coronet! A couple years after I started driving, the police in Pasadena, CA were driving those. You could hear them coming a mile away when those big four barrels kicked in.
That was such a fun Ride-a-Long. Thank you, Paul, Michelle, Matt and Jamie, for being awesome people. Doug was a very deserving winner. Fantastic all around!!
being without any family to celebrate thanksgiving with i want to say thank you to the fabrats clan for sharing your time with this old guy. you are like my adopted family via video, a heartfelt thank you and please keep going as you brighten up people's lives. bless you in all you do
Not only doing the give away being super awesome, but someone from a place I grew up around won it. Fun fact, my ex-wife (we're still good friends) is from Baker and is related to half that town. There's a lot of history in that area of Oregon. Great job navigating cabbage hill btw, I love driving that stretch.
Buncha moms & dads acting like teenagers. What's not to love??? This is just pure, basic joy! Watching Matt & Paul being kids again is so wholesome. Glad you're all safe & sound after that HARROWING journey lol! Keep it real & keep 'em coming. Best of wishes to your whole family.
The video was good and funny ,watching to see whatever could happen. The police pull over was good and you caught a break. I am glad to see good friends ,taking a road trip together. Also, the car went to a good man who loves older cars. Thank you for sharing your experience with your viewers.
Thanks for taking us along for the ride! My congratulations to Doug for the win! And to you guys for staying out of jail, and giving us a great video. Fab Rats and Matt's off road recovery gave us a double dose adventure of fun that we love to see! Til next time...
How cool to have you all in a person’s driveway!
Great to be able to tag along for the trip to drop it off! Very cool project and giveaway.
Good give away. Glad the heater was fixed before Doug took the title.
At least I think the 65 got a good break in for the engine.
Enjoyed the series.
File this under E for Excellent and Epic. Can we all give Michelle props and love for her video editing skills while in the air!! Hair is on point even after hours in an airplane too, sheese….. Love y’all
Born in Baker City, there is an interpretive center about the Oregon Trail just outside of Baker where you can actually still see ruts from old wagons. Mechum mountain always seems foggy. Loved the trip. Happy Thanksgiving
Met a guy in Laughlin, NV at breakfast the day after Thanksgiving. He was wearing a FabRats shirt so we had a nice talk while my wife patiently waited. He loves you guys!
Great to hear!!
You four and your families never fail to brighten my day. God bless small town values.
Small town values? Like pushing scams? The Scotland land title thing is a scam from 2006. The Scottish government has warned people about this for years, yet idiots that are too lazy to do research, fall for it then get others to buy into the scam also.
I wouldn't call pushing proven scams, small town values.
In a worl where you could be like anyone, be like fab rats and Matt's off road recovery. True, honest hard working American people who are just all around genuine people.
Awsome video you guys....so cool of a segment give-away....Michelle hugging Doug at end was heart felt.....editing done excellent....Matt pulled over ha ha ha ha....thanks for sharing this video with us
All the just like High School comments; I laughed at the boys up front and girls in the back. Looked like a fun trip.
Michelle's hair on the day of delivery was beautiful.
I've watched the entire journey of the dodge coronet, it was a great series!! You people are great!!
Australia 🇦🇺 please never lose this mateship, you mob Ozzie,, talk for bunch , could fit straight in
Super good family entertainment
It’s good to see you all traveling together. Glad you all had fun. Grueling but fun. Three days is quick
I know exactly where that car went to, it was like "I know that place!!" This car will be well taken care of and I hope to see it driving around from time to time when I am in the area. Congrataz Doug!!!!
Michelle held this vid together IMO, and her editing it stellar! I love the Fabrats and MORR teams…and since I edit my own videos I know just how much effort Michelle and Tucker (MORR) put into making them and for making sure we get to experience everything with them. Happy Thanksgiving to you guys, though my Canadian Thanksgiving was a few weeks ago, I’m still very thankful for your kind and amazing families…I look forward to these videos every single week!!
Ditto.. the unsung heroes of RUclips videos are the editors.. I also edited videos for my wife's Crafting channel and usually spent 3 times the amount of filming time editing... it's one of those jobs that if you do it well, nobody even thinks about it, but if you mess it up, everybody notices... Michelle, you're doing a great job, cuts, audio levels, video balancing etc, all are spot on..
I’ve thought many times that if Michelle did a side channel with behind the scenes howtos, it would be a top editing channel.
Why were the road trips back in the 60's so much more fun? I used to sleep on the back window deck of my parents 1957 Buick on cross country trips! Thanks so much for the great videos!
Awesome video, brought back fond memories for me of my younger days. At 16 road tripped a 72 Chevelle from Texas to Washington state in 1984, burned a quart of oil every 50 miles but made it. In 86 drive my 71 road runner from Washington state to Illinois in January with no heater, fun times like your trip. Than in 89 I did the big Texas to Alaska in December and January in a square body long bed, had a quad, 8 extra tires and 40 extra gallons of fuel in the bed. Rolled the truck in the middle of the night in the Yukon, got it flipped over and continued on my way to have a axle snap 100 miles from Anchorage. When I left Alaska four years later drove from there to Florida than to Az with my new wife and baby and thankfully that trip was uneventful. Keep up the good work, your videos are always entertaining.
This has become one of my favorite channels. Just to watch all of you genuinely enjoy your adventures. All of you enjoy your Thanksgiving!!
I owned a 65 Dodge Coronet in High School. I really would have loved to win that car. I really don’t know why, Lol, because as I watched you I was reminded of all the things that went wrong with it. It seemed distributor cap cracked every time it rained, I replaced the alternator, starter, fuel pump, wheel cylinder, busted brake line, muffler, water pump and more. I learned a lot as a teenager but I wish I had it back. Congratulations to the winner.
Its cool that you get out of your own state and explore some of your country and see new places and meet new people.
That was cool. Glad you had minimal difficulties delivering the car. Also glad that Dug seems really happy with winning it, Also glad that Matt was the one driving the car when it was pulled over by the police. Also equally happy he didn't get a ticket. Stay safe and healthy to you all.
That first plane is what we call a "Puddle jumper". Love the fact that that car went to a car guy!
A bunch of adults with kid hearts and mind. Love it Happy Thanksgiving. God Bless
Have driven a truck most of my life , everytime I've ever driven thru some of the most beautiful towns in the US, haven't been down from Canada since COVID, really miss the great people and places.
Thank you Paul and Michelle for your great videos. You guys are the kind of people I love to fellowship with.😎
Love how you guys are all family!!
I really enjoy the collaboration y'all have with Matt & Jaimee, Chad's Fab, Robby Layton and his crew. The whole Utah gang spreading sunshine, oil & grease, sand and fresh paint, lol. Keep up the great work.
I do appreciate that this crew doesn't eat and the soulless national chain fast food places, but you guys hit the local places (and plug them!). That's the only way to travel.
Michelle & Jamie are so “Super Cool”complimented by Paul & Matt !! ❤Happy Thanksgiving ❤ Excellent Road Trip by OG’s !!! 😊
My mom custom ordered her 1964 Pontiac LeMans. She specifically didn't want an 8 cyl so she ordered the inline 6. She wanted a "4 on the floor" so she got that. Not a common choice with the 6cyl. She wanted seat belts so she added that to her custom order! Miss that car so much!
Good people seem rare these days. Thank you for all you guys do and for sharing with us.
We are fans of Fab Rat from Saudi Arabia One of the best times is to follow your channel and the Matt Off Road channel I wish you much luck and continue in what you are doing🎉🎉
What a surprise! This made my day, and I want to thank you for inviting me along on your little adventure. Happy Thanksgiving.
I'm still smiling. I haven't stopped smiling through the whole video.
Great video guys! Thank you for taking us with you.
My favorite classic vehicle is the 1965 Ford F100 custom cab long box truck, with the 289 v8 with a granny gear 4 speed transmission. I miss the ones I had in the 1980s. Love the videos. Keep up the good work, and God bless and stay safe and be kind.
He is going to enjoy the car u guys are amazing loved watching you rebuild the cornet and giving it away
Got to love the anti-theft device. Been there done that before. My wife had a 67 mustang coupe and the anti-theft device was an electric fuel pump with a toggle switch. You could pull it out of the garage to the street about 50 feet away before it died.
This is by far the best video you have made.
Beef jerky and Gatorade. Breakfast of champions! Great job guys. So happy for the winner. Hanging out with you guys would be a blast😜🇺🇸
What a great video! Love everything about Fab Rats and Matt’s Off-road Recovery!
...there is nothing better than fun time with great friends...best video ever guys...😎👍
Michelle, what a great video! Looks like the 4 of you had so much fun! Great editing !
Road tripping is awesome! Thanks for taking us along. I'm just sorry I missed entering to win the car. Lucky for you too; I'm a lot farther away in Central NY. Ha!
Congratulations Doug! Glad you guys had a safe trip and thanks for taking us along for ride.
From someone born waaaay before this car was built, the humidity being expelled from the occupants is why the inside glass fogs. Cracking open a vent window (hence the name) will keep the inside windows from fogging. In modern cars, the AC also runs in the winter to reduce the humidity and keep the inside windows from fogging.
You guys are the best.the things that you do for people you have never met.. it's good to see that there are still really good people in this world..
What a fun outting ! - taking on the adventure of running an old car almost 900 miles through
cold weather. It was great to see Paul, Matt with their wives go out & deliver the Dodge Coronet
to a well deserving car enthusiast. Glad you all were able to take time away from work & have
some fun.
I personally enjoyed your cruise around the northwest. The sound of a MOPAR V8 brought back a lot of memories for me. Thanks for the entertainment and memories...
Thank you for all the videos This one feels more personal I feel like I'm riding in the car with you With a big smile on my face😁
Best food always comes from small towns cause they actually feed the people that keep their doors open and they care about them , small towns are just big families😊
Sounds like you might need a check valve on the vacuum line for the heater box.
Could also add a vacuum canister. They were common in the old Ford's with popup headlights. Probably mopars as well.
@@kstricl great point. With both ideas together, we have a great fix!
You could of made a effort to at least deliver the car with a working fuel gauge, seems you only make sure your toys are made to perfection
@@alanbennett2608 that's far from true. Paul's vehicles have similar issues. If you've had any classic cars you would know this.
That was fun. The right man won that car. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
I really appreciate you taking us along with you guys on this trip, soooo entertaining!!!
Happy you had a safe and fun trip. 😁
That was an amazing trip guys and girls, I'm with Jamie on this one, I had every confidence that you would get to your destination fit and well and that the car would do its stuff. They don't make them like that anymore, there’s too much electronics in them today. That was an amazing thing you did; you guys are the best. Glad you all arrived back home safe and sound.
It can't be safe having you two on the same road trip, thank goodness that you have the gals to keep you on track. You guys did a really nice job on this car and congratulations to Doug. Matt needs to keep his day job, singing may not be the ticket.
I LOVE how @21:29 it says the destination is on your LEFT , and ALL 4 LOOK TO THE RIGHT 👍 💯▶️
Ah, the beautiful Tri-Cities....ugh. I lived there for too many years. Great video and another great build!
Awesome video to you all!!! I definitely love the give back to all your viewers for sure!!! And I wanted to congratulate the winner of the very nice 1965 giveaway car that Paul and everyone else that worked on so hard to get everything up to par on!!!! Maybe next time I might get lucky and win something cool!!! Heck I’d just love to see you guys make it closer to the middle of the the country like Iowa or even farther east!!! Heck if it was even farther east you would have somewhere to stop on a trip going father east!!! Lol!! Well remember keep up all the hard work buddy’s!!!
Paul if you don't have one you should pick up a "power probe" it is such a blessing for just about all wiring issues and testing ❤❤❤
Great job on production, Michelle, these videos are excellent!!!
Even though my wife and me have never been into old cars, and we never will be, it’s Easy to see that these 4, Really really enjoyed themselves. Furthermore, we enjoyed watching the entire, Video!!
Love the road-trip! God Bless you all Enjoy! Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍁
The big dogs on the road doing what they do best. Congratulations Doug. ❤
You and Matt have a really great thing going on and I super happy for Doug! I'm sending your tee-shirt's as gifts 🎁 this year, you guys Rock!
The Dodge Cornet is a great car! In 1980 I drove a 1967 from Chicago Illinois to Missoula Montana, roughly 2,100 miles. Paid $100 for the car, times have changed.
I really like how down to earth all of you are. Don't ever lose that!! Love the vids and keep up the amazing work. PS @MattsOffRoadRecovery, we feel the same about you all over at MOOR.
I have to think about what Matt said when everyone was dropped off at the motel about Fab Rats fans being nice people. Paul is such a relatable guy and a nice guy he attracts people like himself. I spent 20+ years being a equipment mechanic, and fabricator before I became a IT guy. My hobby is hot rods and building 60s to 80s motorcycles. While my hobby and skill sets differ a little from fab rats I think I would fit in well as a typical fan. Thanks for the awesome content.
What a trip. You guys know how to show us out here a fun time. Thanks for sharing your life with us.
I can see that You People had a lot of fun together in delivering that Cornet. Best part was Matt getting pulled over & how He handled that. Almost sounds like the Cop just wanted to get a closer look at the car & used the no tail lights as an excuse.
This was such an enjoyable video! My husband and I drive throughout the country getting vehicles from Mannheim’s to bring back down here to Ft. Myers… this whole video made me think of our road trips! I’m gonna bring a pillow now too! Love you guys! I found myself smiling so big so many times during this video! ❤️😘🫶🥰😘
When you were in Seattle WA, you were only 75 miles south of Victoria BC where I live. Next time you’re in this area take some time to look around. The Pacific North West is a beautiful area that’s much different than Utah.
Doug is a very lucky guy getting the opportunity to meet you guys. I am looking forward to one day getting a chance to meet everyone in person.
You guys are all like family to me.
I found it interesting how the only thing Matt was focused on was food.
I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving
Awesome!!! Glad you guys figured out how to keep the heater working. I know that that was one of the very last things you worked on in the shop...it's so nice too see others that have good friends to be able to go on road trips that doesn't take a bunch of drinking to pull it off. Love how Matt's biggest concern was eating. That is totally ME.🙏🙏🙏🦃🇨🇦🇺🇲
I can’t believe how close I was to you guys. Glad your trip was safe
I would have sold my soul to the devil to have rode with you four on this trip!! The conversation would have been mind blowing. Also, if I would have known that Matt and Jamie were coming on the trip, I would have bought the Fab-rat store. Imagine meeting all four of you! Bucket list complete! That trunk space was so big we could have put Ben, Lizzy, Tucker, Tom Tom, Rory, Mike, Shawn and the dogs (Lady, Max, and Peanut). Its like missing Halley's comet. Never get the chance again. Ya'll were great!! Thanks for sharing!!
Hey thanks for taking us along on the road trip. Happy Thanksgiving ! We love you all.😊
Russ I agree as it was a adventure with amazing sights.
"Just the good ole Boy's and Ladies, making their way the only way they know how!!" Great video!!🤣
