YEEESSS!! Lets GOOO!! Robot feeders up and running! Ah yes, the anxious frustrations of the "in between" phase.. where you aren't done with the old way yet but the new way is not fully functional either... usually involves a few extra steps to get the chores done. Looking forward to the next video!
Hope the auto feed project comes to fruition with a minimum of start up bugs. Should be a huge time saver once it's all in place. Great content as always.
14:52 Im glad you left it in. Its not incompetence (and I dont think thats what you actually meant) its simply a mistake. We all make them. I am very glad that it happened there and not near someone where it could have caused an injury. Im so excited to see these robots running! Maybe you can record a time lapse of them running the entire route or maybe even an entire days worth so we can watch it in its entirety. That would be fun to see. And definitely a time lapse would be the best way to do that. It could actually be its own video.
I knew, we all knew, that the initial robots 'roll out' (< see what i did there) would definitely have gremlins at first. Not Losing your rag with provider as a customer, AND standing alongside the customers concerns are key to gettting the problem solved. Emotions can run high. Praise to both as it got solved and both made it happen. not immediate bad vibes and drama. I love this channel. Wholesome-ness. thanks :)
So excited for the next video! Thanks for showing your mistake - it's always good to be reminded that we are not perfect & to take nothing for granted, especially safety!
I thought with this new system it would be a lot easier to feed but seems like a lot of moving parts with potential to have issues hope it works out long term
Hey buddy, I figured I would let you know that I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos. They are very informative and your methodology in explaining things makes it enjoyable. I appreciate it man you guys keep up the good work and as always be good be safe.
Simple yet complicated. Expensive to set up but farm labour is not cheap and can't work 24/7. I'm guessing all in you are close to $700,000 so far. 3 132ft silos and the feeding system plus plus. It will pay for itself in many ways and allow the farm to prosper in the coming decades. Cheers 🇨🇦
I have a robot mower that sometimes goes off track and gets stuck but it's using RTK guidance so it is going to happen no matter what technology you have
you should try robot milking, i did some work on a local dairy farmer who has abouty four hundred milkers, and three years ago he installed a single head robot milking machine , it cost hin £200,000, the cows got milkedf when they wanted he only had to monitor the process via his mobile phone and cameras, he got 20% more milk from the cows so this year he installed another robot in a seperate shed,
Very interesting video. Just a comment!! sure hope you have a back up if the hydro goes off as it looks like most of your new set up equipment runs off Hydro.
As always enjoy your videos it is quite neat to see the technology just out of curiosity are you going to get a bigger monitor for your camera system just a question

Alot of thought and hardwork coming together. Impressive, very impressive to see silos built, controls and systems coming together

Looks like an 8 ring drop. Amazed at the compression in just 15 days.

We have all dropped the bucket of at some point
I am glad that bucket didn't fall off into the mixer wagon. I would be keen to know if the new feeding system raises the per cow production.
Eric, hopefully you intend on getting a generator backup for when the electric goes off. I'd hate to see cows go hungry.
Excited to see the automated feeding!

Eric, things are looking great, and I am happy for you. It looks like you have it all uner control. I wish you well.
Blessings upon you.

Loved that you added your bucket falling off😂. It’s real life and it’s happened to me a handful of times.
So many moving parts to fine tune. God bless and stay safe. ❤❤❤❤
I used to sometimes wear a bandanna across my face. Dust masks weren’t common in the 60s and 70s. Good to see you wearing them.

Good video. Hope all goes well this weekend when y’all fire it off

Hi Eric, it looks like things are going along nicely.
Love the technology
Awesome video Eric. 🚜🚜🚜

Wow, a great bit of automation. Hope it all works it -10°.😂😂 best of luck guys make it work thank you for the videos
Have you tried using the drone to find the missing closing wheel?
Nice edit, Eric.

Have you ever considered putting in UV lights (blacklights) in your silo ceiling to mitigate mold growth above your moisture barrier?
Dang mass confusion set up
Eric, WHERE IS YOUR EYE PROTECTION???? Be safe for your Family !!!!!!

Could u do maybe a up to date video on the new house ?
A lot of moving parts, will it work during the winter and storms?!
How many cows do you have and how many you milk? Thanks for another great video

Seemed like a considerable amount of compression in the silo?? Still feel as though you have enough or does the acres harvested tell you that?
Hay Eric shit happens
I love ur all videos m frm india
cool
My question is , and maybe you already answered it and I missed it but what happens in the winter if you get a ton of snow or a bunch of ice?
Question : why you do not seed any légumes with your tritical?
👍
❤❤❤❤❤
I watch it from the Netherlands and i have a question for you : When are you going to plow the fields again, that has to happen at some point ?
As always enjoy your videos it is quite neat to see the technology just out of curiosity are you going to get a bigger monitor for your camera system just a question
If you cover the plastic with some of your tire side walls you should not have to throw any away. And should be less work
Does the Leyl feed system have an alarm that sounds if a feed product hasn't been dispatched into the Leyl feeder
Yes it will call you if not enough weight of the ingredient has dispensed and will pause until you resolve the issue
