This is a great reminder of how versatile the 1/2 square triangle is. Rest In Peace Melanie, your legacy lives on in Gods creative world. I hope your family is doing ok, as time and birthdays come and go, you are forever in the hearts of family, friends and strangers like me.You are serving even in death. I plan to meet you some day, “when the roll is called up yonder” cause I’ll be there.

I can across this account yesterday while searching for some suggestions on half square triangles… I am fairly new to quilting. This was the first of Melanie’s videos I had ever seen and I was immediately vibing with her account. I actually thought in my head… how is it I have not come across any other videos yet?! I am on RUclips every day looking for quilting tips, tricks and tutorials. As soon as I finished watching this video, I immediately gave it the thumbs up and subscribed to this channel!
Then of course I had to go check out all of the other videos she had posted and came across the story of her life and her passing… I could not stop bawling…
I am so grateful that this channel is still up and that she still has a way to connect with her crafty friends here.
Of course I never knew her, but I can tell you that her smile was contagious, and she seemed to be a warrior in her fight for life.
I am also certain she is missed by many.::

Thank you! My head is spinning with the possibilities. My mom has some early cognitive issues. She has made many beautiful quilts for all of us. But she's not doing it anymore. She has a huge stash of partially completed projects, including a large number of half triangle squares. I'm going to make something, or a few somethings, from her pieces, and that way it's a wonderful collaboration.
