Here, I show how to manually set the drawing order in Inkscape so it optimises the final drawing time.
There is an Inkscape extension to automate this. Extensions>Arrange>Restack then choose Left to RIght.
será que eu não tenho esse plugin ? Porque eu não achei, e se achei, não mudou a posição do carro. Eu quero fazer a maquina iniciar da esquerda pra direita e quando chega no final da frase, ele retorna. Qual o nome desse plugin e onde eu acho ele ?

Hello. Could you help me please? I cannot make Axidraw "prints" in single line, it always prints in double lines, no matter if it's a little line, it makes them double. How can I fix this, please? And thank you very much for these videos.

Sorry, I don't understand - the machine will draw whatever lines are present in Inkscape. Are you meaning it draws over the same line twice?

Hi, when I bought this V3 model the cable on the side was loose, from the videos I think it should be placed horizontally, but I am unsure into which prongs you need to put it.. The pen doesnt move up and down so draws all the lines inbetween, it works fine apart from this crucial detail

Do you print direct from Inkscape ? G-code generator is not necessary ?
Yes, the AxiDraw extension handles everything from inside Inkscape, and you don't need to worry about G-code. (Note that, if you DID want to "speak" to the machine directly, it appears as a simple serial port and you can send text commands to move the motors individually)

Is the AxiDraw recognized by the computer - if you open up the AxiDraw extension from within Inkscape, can you do things like toggle the pen up/down?

Hello, I'm sorry for the delay in replying, just saw your comments. There is an installation guide available on the support site at wiki.evilmadscientist.com/Axidraw_Software_Installation which covers different operating systems - I would probably suggest reinstalling the software (Inkscape AND the AxiDraw extensions) to see if this helps. I would love to help you more, but I'm not really involved that much in the software side of things. It would be best if you could contact Windell Oskay (email windell@evilmadscientist.com) who runs Evil Mad Scientist - he develops and maintains the software and should be able to help you more. I'll drop him an email as well to say you might be in contact. I really appreciate your interest and hope we can sort things out!
