I'm waiting for an ordered Axidraw to arrive and this video is incredibly helpful! I cannot wait to see more of your tutorials! I love your blog it is also very helpful. I own an old "Genius G-Note 7000" and have a free java app that converts it's native file format to SVG. Many years ago I used inkscape to examine those SVG file and they worked fine. I'm not sure how i'm going to combine the two devices. My first experiment will be to trace the outline of my hand on the "Genius G-Note 7000" and then use inkscape to shrink, multiply and rotate my hand tracing and see how the Axidraw puts it all together.

Hi! Great video! Subscribed to your channel and AxiDraw arriving at my home soon. Would you be willing to do a similar video tutorial on how to use Processing to process an image and send it to the plotter? There are many algorithms on Github, but little to no instructions on how to go from picture to plotter through algorithms in Processing. Thanks!

This video was great! But any idea why my pen might be raising up as it gets to the end of a line but then goes back down at the start of the new line? (basically its fading until its not writing at all at the end of a line). I considered a slanted surface and have tried it in 3 places now. Any ideas?

Great video! Is there a way of doing multiple copies of a letter and with each copy a different name can be inputed? Example: you have a database of customers and want to address them individually for a personal touch.
Mail merging - yep, I understand that's possible. You'll want to use Axidraw Merge: wiki.evilmadscientist.com/AxiDraw_Merge - which I believe is available to Axidraw owners on request.

I'm afraid not. Inkscape runs on Linux, MacOS and Windows. I'm not aware of any plotter software that runs on Android, but it should be possible!

In my case, I can't find Axi draw control sub-menu of Extension menu
That sounds like it hasn't installed properly. Follow the instructions carefully at wiki.evilmadscientist.com/Axidraw_Software_Installation, and contact Evil Mad Scientist Labs directly if you can't get it working.
i am having problem using inkscape if i press apply screen which show me how much time i would spend doesn't come up 5:44 just those small screen and vanish can you give me advice?
Do you have offline preview mode selected in the "Options" tab?

They show you on the video and it's on preview mode. Take it off preview and it'll start working.
Hi I'm trying to print addresses for a wedding invitation, but it's giving me n error "Inkscape has received additional data from the script executed. The script did not return an error, but this may indicate the results will not be as expected" what do I do?
