Hello and thank you for the work you do: I love it! Also, I plan to buy an Axidraw but I still wonder about the reliability of this machine. What do you think after all this time of use?
They're built like a good consumer grade 3d printer... Not a lot to wear out. Some spare rollers and belt and it'll run forever....
My Z motor gave out within a couple weeks. AxiDraw sent me a $9 replacement. I decided to spring for the brushless motor because I intend to use the crap out of it.

You can buy it for $475 USD, or upgraded and CNC milled up to $800.

Can you use a cutter instead of pen and use it to cut normal papers?

I am using Inkscape with the plugin suggested on the Axidraw website. I followed the instructions in the manual and it worked innediately like a charm!
Concerning the designs, I've got plenty ready but not much time to film unfortunately. I hope to upload more soon!
@@zanonius Do you have to use a plugin though? Can't the machine just draw SVGs directly?
