18:04-Not exactly. Sinners, demons who were originally human but were cast into Hell upon their deaths, can basically put themselves back together from virtually any injury, barring those made by the Angelic Weapons used by the Exorcist Army. It just takes them time to regenerate.
The regeneration process is also extremely, mind numbingly painful.
I highly recommend checking out the pilot as well. It does a great job establishing the characters, the world, and Why Alastor is there. Anyway, yes, this is a fantastic series with so many banger songs, ("Stayed Gone" being my favorite from these two episodes,) and I hope you enjoy it.

2:30 btw in some versions of the Bible Lilith is actually mentioned as being Adam’s first wife and Eve being his second….so it’s actually semi accurate to the source. Also Angeldust was the first guest at the hotel, sir PENTIOUS is the second, also it’s noticeable to point out that Charlie’s mom Lilith and Alastor have both been missing for 7 years
Yup I think Lilith is mentioned in certain Jewish texts. Not sure if Islamic sources mention Lilith.

It's described that God made the first humans, man and woman. A chapter later, Adam is described as being "completely alone in the world." so he was given Eve.
Early religious scholars assumed that there had to be another woman in the garden that was either banished or fled. They named her Lilith.

You should react to the pilot to really understand the whole premise of the show. But this series is actually my favorite and was one of my biggest inspirations to be an animator. Every song is amazing! So happy for Vivienne, the creator!
FUN FACTS:
The Satan/Lucifer of modern Christian mythology is actually NOT in the Bible at all. At least not in the original languages. He COULDN'T have been, because the character hadn't been invented yet. The serpent in the Garden of Eden was just a talking snake. It wasn't until MUCH later that a line in Revelation in which Satan in referred to as "that old serpent" was used to conflate him with the snake. As recently as the Renaissance, Christians believed LILITH was the serpent. Look at Michaelangelo's fresco on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. There, the serpent is depicted with a woman's head and torso. Lilith as the serpent was still considered CANON at the time.
The appearances of "Satan" in Job and Jesus's temptation were prosecutor angels sent by God. The original word used was "shaitan" which means "adversary." God sent a shaitan to destroy Job's life to prove he was truly loyal, and sent one to Jesus to test his resolve. These were later changed to the proper noun "Satan" in translations.
The modern concept of Hell isn't in the Bible either. Jesus says the unrighteous are cast into a lake of fire. What does fire do? It burns things up. He also says that following him is the ONLY path to eternal life. So why would people live forever in Hell, too? The original teaching was that believers lived forever in Heaven, and nonbelievers are cast into the fire and burned away, truly dying.
Modern Christians' beliefs about Hell and Lucifer are rooted in Dante's "Inferno" and Milton's "Paradise Lost," not the Bible.
But that's the thing with living mythologies. Since the religion is still in active practice, its attendant mythology still morphs, changes, and evolves to suit its adherents' beliefs. Ancient religions like Helenism (worship of the Greek Olympian gods) and Odinism (worship of the Norse Aesir and Vanir) are dead religions. No one living still practices them, so their mythologies are set, creating the impression of a static canon. Back in their heydays, those mythologies were just as fluid and ever-shifting as Christian mythology still is today.

I really wish they would put this show's episodes up somewhere else than Prime Video. I hate when I cannot own something, and can only watch online, also with a payed subscription. I would buy each episodes if I could own them, and rewatch them whenever I wanted... like buying a movie here on RUclips.
