There's a fix in this thread on the Steam forums which worked for me. If you play on PC via Steam, this should fix it for you. I got a bug in episode 2, when i enter the living quarters near the hydro dam fence i get teleported under the map layer, where i then stand on metal rapo.

to be fair in that situation a mental breakdown is not unreasonable.. it's a feature if you ask me!
