I first heard this song in October, 2008 as I was driving home from FT Riley after redeploying from Afghanistan. It was a decent sounding song until the part where he sang about saluting the ones who died. I had to pull over for a few minutes & think through what I just heard. Damn good song.

I remember listen to that back in 2008 through megatune, I never forget the day, I found the radio by mistake (92.3 Now FM New York). I did not know English and I had no idea what was country songs were since I live in Brazil nor what the lyrics mean. But that day I discovered Zac Band, Trailer Choir, Amanda Shires and other great musicians that I listen till nowadays. This January I heard Chicken Fried playing in a pub in Denver, CO.
Wish more people would respect our Country and the one's who gave their lives so we can be free in times we are going thru right now
