For my husband and I this was 'our song'. We sold everything and bought a sailboat. We were able to sail around the Caribbean for four years but unfortunately he died 9/4/23. This was the one song I wanted played at his memorial. I can't hear it without crying but it means so much to me.
Sorry for your loss. My wife died 4 years ago with 49. Every minute every day in my mind. I love to hear music we loved. I love to hear music I know she would love. Music and tears are like a cleaning thunderstorm. Die Erinnerung, sie bleibt immer jung! ❤
My husband played into the Mystic as i walked down the isle to marry him.. these two songs are beautiful together and they should play it at our funerals. Our lives have been described bythese songs. 35 yrs later..we're still goin strong. ❤
This is my song for the love of my life and I in the 70's. He was killed in an accident 2 months after he asked me to marry him. We had been together, 24/7 for those 7 years, FREE AS WE'LL EVER BE! That was 44 years ago. Always in my heart and in my soul. Thank you Zac Brown Band! I'm 69, alone, and this song, and your voice singing it, brings my heart to life! 💫💖💫
I walked away from my whole entire life to take care of my Dad for 5-6 years. Best thing I ever did. I’d drive him around and play his favorite music, get him whatever food he wanted "usually Whataburger”, and we’d just enjoy the time together. I will never take that back. I got years back in time that in time many will understand. Tucked him into bed every night and told him I love you Dad.

Played this song for my daddy when he was passing in the hospital. He loves this version. Many of time on the lake, cruising in the boat trying to wet a line. He was a simple man that changed so many lives. He is free now and I am reminded that one day I will be too. Love you daddy ❤️

Brother, glad you have found a way of remembrance. May she rest in paradise and dance along every time this song is played. Sending all positive thoughts and amazing grace.
I play this song on loop. I'll be 72 march 28. I am rich beyond your wildest dreams. I started out from a small rural town in ky. At 18 I started hitchhiking and have been to many countries but of all the places I've been to and all the beautiful people I have met lovers I've had sunsets I've watched the sun coming up while listening to the ocean beat against the shore lying naked in the sand. Hitching a ride to boulder and walking up on past Estes park into the mountains. It was springtime and the bite of winter blew hard at nite while the sun was almost hot during the day. I found a small cave by a stream way up high snow still cover the earth. I put an old army blanket over the entrance while watching the fire I'd made jump around and listened to the wind howl thru the trees. I had a child at 26 and raised him the best I could. He has his doctorate in law and doesn't speak to me he says for self preservation. I was so in love with that little boy and gave him the world but it was my world not his. Our children are from us not of us. Was so heartbreaking. I will always remember him as my little boy and I moved on living in my old jeep with my boxer the love of my life. I've seen the world and I've seen our county change. Kids today don't have a clue what the word free means but I do and I would die to save this dirt that i love from sea to the mountains to the ocean shores. May God help us keep her. Thank you zb for making my heart sing and remember what life has been about for this old woman with such a young heart!!
That was so beautiful.... There is something I have to ask you though... How did you avoid getting sand-burn on your "down-under" region when you were doing it on the beach???
@@jamieingels1190 when you are experiencing living and loving with all your senses, while sharing something so profound and beautiful, did it really matter?
Talk to your son, don't leave anything unsaid, forgive each other for anything and everything. As Jimmy Buffett once wrote in a lyric, "Life is short, call now"
You describe my life. I too began journeying via foot and thumb at a young age. At sixty four, I am still at it. Society tells you how you should proceed through life, I chose a different path. I decided that I would go to the mountain and climb it, rather than wait until all that I could do was come back with a T-shirt that said that I had been there. Your life, is a personal choice. It is no others to make for you. I chose, to be a collector of experiences, and though at times, it has been hard, I wouldn’t change a single thing. Love ya Sister!
I’ve had one hell of ride in life I’m only 22 I listen to this every morning to remind my self the blessing I have to live in this country. I try not to dwell on my past hardships I know others have had it rougher even though it seemed my homelessness, in and out of juvenile, and much more was a never ending cycle. But life’s good and God is good I’m here today that’s what matters! Finally starting my career tomorrow not much stress anymore got a beautiful family and soon to be wife. This me my honeys song we grab a drink and just watch that tide come in and out! Anyone who reads this remember there’s light at the end of the tunnel life’s a bitch but take a deep look into what’s important what really matters and that will pick you up! 🇺🇸🇨🇱
I’m 25 and I have to still keep telling myself this every morning. God bless! I’m from South Georgia and we always say “It’s gone rain hard before the sun shines bright.” Hard times will come just like the seasons of the year but you got to plant yourself like a tree and tell others to grab a branch and f themselves with it.
18 months since my husband passed away after an automobile accident. He was only 57. He ❤ this song. It was played at his memorial service. I've listened to this song so many to count. I ❤ Van Morrison, what a great song writer. Zac Brown is absolutely gorgeous 😢💔
My daughter’s wedding song was Into the Mystic. Perfect for what turned into a wonderful mystical family. This blending with Free and the band’s performance is perfect.
My son and I danced to Into the Mystic since before he could walk. Now at 20 he towers over me. My son is 6'5 now and we still dance to it. I made him promise that this song would be the music for our mother son dance when he gets married. ❤❤
Saw Van Morrison in Hollywood back in the late 60s. Small club about 50 people. Just a beautiful memory I was about 22 years old. God what a great evening and date that was.
Free I retired at age 47 so I could enjoy life. I’ve had friends who worked till age 70 and die a month later. This music reminds you to stop and see what’s real. Keep Jamming and I will keep listening. ☮️
I'm right there with you, friend I've never met! Was very close just yesterday, heard this song, and knew pulling the trigger wouldn't solve anything, only make it worse for the ones I love, so, I am taking the gun apart this morning, as I listen to this...
This song reminds me of my daughter that I lost 2 months ago. She was such a free spirit in life. She always help other people and love her dogs. I miss her so much I will always love her.
Zac Brown…..the most talented man with the greatest band….y’all have such a GIFT FROM GOD…THE BEST CONCERT I EVER WENT TO…..can’t wait for more concerts in Columbus Ga…I love y’all and love your beard trimmed….hugs carolyn ratliff. (Dune buggy’s mom)
I’ve watched this a few times and I always smile through the whole thing. I’ve watched it for years on RUclips and he always speaks so lovingly about his wife and family as does link. Keep the good music coming james and the shame

☺️ thank u for getting back to me, it means the world to me, u guys r one of the beautiful memories my dad gave me and I cherish each song.. is this a fan club or the band page?
It reminds me why I walked away from "more" money to instead semi-retire to spend more time with my boys. Just watching them grow up, play ball, and be a dad. Free
I was fortunate enough to have a father just like you. It will take your kids a while, but in time they’ll understand how much of an impact you will have had on their lives.
Ive done the same thing for the last 3 years, no better investment to make. I wanted my son’s memory of me to not be that i worked a lot like my dad and his dad before him.
My goodness, the start of this song with the violinist is absolutely breathtaking to me!!! I love music 🎶 🎵 Wow, some of his greatest songs, too. I love it so very much. Speaks to my very soul!!!
I was raised in the Northwest spent time living on the coast of Oregon and Washington next to the ocean, I understand fog. Took off driving truck all over the country. Settled in Missouri...still after all these years I feel out of place. Rarely saw my family so "When the fog horn blows I'll be coming home... I want to feel it
everytime I watch this video, or listen on the radio, it brings tears to my eyes thinking about how much I love my wife and where we want to be traveling around after nearly 23 years of marriage, 2 kids and wind up on a beach somewhere retired.....what a great song
This album cover inspired me to become an artist. My sis bought the slbum when it came out, and I'd sit and look at it for hours, each time we listened to it. In 2020 I retired from a long, rewarding career as an artist. Thanks Captain Fantastic.
The first verse of Into The Mystic are the perfect words I’ve been searching for to honor my son Austin’s memory since he passed away October 3rd, 2020.
I’m so sorry for your loss, but never forget that this is never the end. Be strong, and you’re never alone... ever. I wish you all the best, in working through your loss 🙏
"Sir Van" is not a nice guy. Talented, but a jerk. I hated country music but loved Chris Stapleton when I heard him sing The National Anthem so I've been looking for alternative country since then. And this is alternative country. Zach Bryan, Jelly Roll...
If Jesus makes you free, you are free indeed, cause only the Son can make you free! Thank you Jesus! Thanks Zach for a great song to remember we’re free!
Music is impartial... As is sports, etc Be grateful for what it is on its own standing. Jesus doesn't recognize anything except those who worship him privately...
For many years I had a very successful security company in Canada. Over the years we performed our service for most of the big name performer. Elton John, Willie, Burton, Melissa, etc. I treated my 15 year old daughter and 96 years mother to a Zac Brow concert at Rogers centre in Toronto Canada. The band was on the money and the crowd really appreciated them. Being a musician so did I but when they came back out for their encore they each chose a song they wanted to perform, It was so moving I was in tears. Every song they chose sounded like the original band that made the songs famous. Collectively, as musicians these gentleman are as good as any I have ever heard. Thank you band!!!!!
Every time I go outside to watch my beautiful 4 year old daughter play I play this song. She loves it it. We sing and dance together. Never forget as long as I live. All we need is love is what she says. From the mouth of babes!
This song fills my soul - I feel the words, instruments working its way through me - in my car with the wind blowing my hair, I sing (poorly) at the top of my lungs. Keep making these beautiful songs that let us float with the melody 🥰
Imma cry ugly faced and free as I’ll ever be!!!! As I sail into the mystic… beautiful beautifully crafted and thank you for doing this!!! Damn good stuff and I am not ashamed to admit that this had opened my eyes to a different kind of musical experience … not typical for me to go yeeeeehaw ( I’m from Kent , Ohio and lean towards indie alternative type of situation) but dang it if This didnt ROCK my Gypsy Soul!!! Woooohoooo get it done Zac Brown Band!!! Yaaaassss uh huh sir’s you showed up all righteous!🥷🏻‼️🕉️☯️☮️💖🪬
God I love this! This song helped me change my life. I made it to the other side. Simple Freedom. I pray when I take my last breath and go back home to be with Jesus, I feel as carefree as I do today. 😏💜 I wanna rock your gypsy soul 💜ahhhh....

Takes me back to my grandparents...grampa could play a mean fiddle and the saw and my Nanna would sing and dance to this and other styles of music...damn
I truly can't explain how these two songs move my soul...so many beautiful memories that I've tried to forget... but these songs bring all that love I had for him back ❤
Knew Zac when he was playing at Lake Lanier. Always knew he would would be huge. He’s a kind man and a great Georgia man southern til the day he’s gone. Love, love him.
The foundation album was definitely one of the things that helped me on my road to sobriety and getting the relationship and love with my kids back! Thank you Zac brown!!
OKAY ....so THIS country music...I love!! Not the crap that is mostly on the radio! Kudos to you Zak Brown Band! I love the Irish Van Morrison sound you have combined in there.....JUST LOVE IT SO MUCH!! Let me rephrase what I said...this is just the best music..no genre specifically...just damn good music!!
I love this.. Into the Mystic is my son and my song. I would play it and hold him and we'd dance.❤ we've danced to it many, many times over the years and he promised we'll dance to it on his wedding day. Anyway I Was going to ask if you've listened to Tyler Childers?
Absolutely AMAZING FREAKING COMPILATION! This makes an amazing song that brings back sweet memories! Van Morrison’s “Into the Mystic” was an amazing choice and Zac and the gang hit a HOMERUN with this one!

@Noreen Reasor I bet he loved it. I was a 70's baby too and played Van Morrison's song a lot after my parents died just 2 years ago. It really hit a deep chord inside my soul.

Still makes me cry. A wonderful combination of my favorite original song, and my mum's favorite Van Morrison song by my favorite singer/band. I believe it was Eric Church who said music has a unique ability to marry a melodie to a memory but none could ever do it better than this
Back when Chicken Fried came out, I thought that was going to be the best song they had. and I heard Zac say, We have A Lot More Than Chicken Fried, and he was not wrong..Zac, I Hear You..

Two of my favorite songs combined, no one sings Van Morrison better. GREAT
Colin James does this very well.
Agreed!!!!! I come back over and over and over and over to hear these (2) classics. Soooooo well done. 🙂
Magical, awesome music. Van Morrison, a favorite. The two songs bring it all together.
I find myself listening to this song multiple times. Its Beautiful, The way he combines the two songs together is brilliant!

The segway into Into the mystic Mystic is amazing
Right on brother!

My hubs and I did the same for 3 years. He passed away. This song holds the best memories ❤❤❤
The intro on the violin is just amazingly ethereal in its beauty.

Hi👋
My son and I danced to Into the Mystic since before he could walk. Now at 20 he towers over me. My son is 6'5 now and we still dance to it. I made him promise that this song would be the music for our mother son dance when he gets married. ❤❤
Perfect
Hello Joan how are you doing hopefully you are doing good??
I love this song amazing sounds beautiful memory. How are you Joan ?
Saw Van Morrison in Hollywood back in the late 60s. Small club about 50 people. Just a beautiful memory I was about 22 years old. God what a great evening and date that was.

Zac Brown is one of the very best at whatever he chooses to do. So much talent.

There has been many times in 60 plus years I was a prisoner of my own mind...Zac Browns music displaced the evil...and took my finger off the trigger!
I'm right there with you, friend I've never met! Was very close just yesterday, heard this song, and knew pulling the trigger wouldn't solve anything, only make it worse for the ones I love, so, I am taking the gun apart this morning, as I listen to this...

Wow, some of his greatest songs, too. I love it so very much. Speaks to my very soul!!!

I never thought I could tolerate anyone but Sir Van singing this. I was oh so wrong. This is fabulous❣️
As is sports, etc
Be grateful for what it is on its own standing.
Man been there seen many bands over the years but the great ones are on the verge of spiritual
