actually cubase has a great sequencer for beats or anything really. You actually ad a groove agent track into Cubase and then enter drum pattern mode instead of the piano roll. Then you just add wav files to the groove agent and create your sequence
This is the weakest aspect of Cubase for me. Logic, Studio One and FL Studio all have sequencers head and shoulders above Cubase. Not only for ease of use (Cubase is like 3 extra steps comparatively) but for functionality. I really hope they update their step sequencer and groove agent to be used in the lower zone like in the other DAWs I mentioned.
In Cubase, It's possible to dock tracks left middle and right via the visibility tab. There will be three dots ( * * * ) indicating left middle and right.
Both are great DAWS, but are vastly different as for as what they are tailored to. FL is more tailored for beat construction. Whereas Cubase, it is a more deeper based DAW (does everything). Yet it has a very steep learning curve. It is more of a Composers/Engineering/Recording DAW.
From my experience, Cubase just has everything, is constantly spreading out into all directions and features but it is not user friendly at all xD It is so god damn complex
Cubase might be complex, but trust me it's so simple to use, simpler than the rest. The thing is, you'll gradually get better at it when you start using it. One of the features that keeps me in cubase is the Vari-Audio (Pitch Correction) - it's so good, the best! No DAW gives you such quality
@@logictom7254 Let me know whatever you want to learn about in Cubase or what you are still finding difficult to do - i will be excited to put you through.
Exactly! not only that, working with the patterns in the playlist is wonderful and allows you to create music on the fly! Cubase started out as a multi-track sequencer and hasn't changed since the ATARI days
The full version of Cubase still has more feature due to it being a larger studio and team in general. But man, it is not fun or engaging to learn Cubase xD

educative, thanks
Pretty straight forward sequencer. Ableton has way better midi tools to get advanced grooves.

NO, you can only hide or unhide - they have a fixed position
Brilliant comparison 👏👏
Great job
Thanks for the encouragement

and now we have the update (FL 21) equipping himself to becoming a Full Digital Audio Workstation.

@@slurstudio I am starting to see that too now. Been learning it for some time now and I think I got the basics

The Patcher that comes in all versions of FL Studio is unbeatable, Cubase does not have what is the best VST of all 'Patcher'.

well, every DAW has their strength and weakness
Reduce the video title to three words. Some of the title isn't even shown on my screen lol. 😂
Thanks, will adjust
