I started with illegal fruity loops 3 in 2003 as a 13yo dude just to make hip hop beats for my squad! Still using FL studio! today!(legally ofc). So many memories and beautiful magical trips that DAW gave me! Much respect and love for it's developers, you are damn geniuses guys! Image-line
My Grandpa Gave me a pirated version of Fruity Loops 3 roughly 8 years ago. When FL Studio 12 released, I bought the Signature Bundle and still use FL Studio to this day
I’ve used FL 5 or 6, 10, 11, 12, 20.. it’s still FL studio at its core and I love that, even though it is extremely advanced today, its still the original FL at its core it terms of style.
thanx for the trip down memory lane :D i thought Fruity2 had a playlist but no piano-roll yet (that came in 3) made my melodies in that with the per-step-notes fold-out interface.. i remember starting like that.. maybe it was a later version of 2
Thankx for this vid! I'm still call it Fruity Loops :) Using it since v.3 and still using FL 7 because I don't like how they switched places of patterns and samples sections in FL 8. Made some local hits with it back in the day while others pro musicians and engineers (with zero hit songs in their entire career) blamed me for using "this crap" instead of Cubase or Protools. I'm old enough to be a witness of how FL got recognition and respect it deserves through the years of hate. Big respect to these guys who created it. FL was a gamechanger for many of us because it's simple and very user friendly, it's was easy to use from the first try unlike other DAW (I've tried many but nothing compares to FL in my opinion). Working in FL feels like magic for me - I don't get same feeling using any other DAW. F(or) L(ife)
I remember downloading a cracked fl studio 12 and making music on my laptop keys without even knowing what the mixer was used for...now i own an original version 21..it's the best there is...
I feel like FL Studio were masterminds. They made a product with a low barrier of entry skill wise, but could be expanded to professional-grade. But in the early days, they sorta let people download cracked / limited versions of the program. Fast forward to 2024, where all the people who used it illegally now have money. They’re buying EVERYTHING from FL Studio! On top of that, they’ve made one of the most visually appealing, intuitive & comprehensive DAWs ever. I have such an allegiance to the brand & workflow because it was “there for me” since the humble beginnings. Ever since some random dude at a house party in 2005 told me about it!
holy shit thank you so much! i'd been struggling with my older version of element but this one is perfect Thank you so much! I swear non of the other tutorials worked but this one did! ily
I started with version 4. There were noticeable changes in version 7, and nothing seems to have changed since then. Now I use the mobile version more often, its design really appeals to me.

Right you have a successful video here so how will you capitalise on it so your channel can grow instead of being a one video channel. Prehaps you should make this a FL studio production channel and get rid of the other content?
so surprised they still maintain the same style, this is amazing!
At this point I think its time for a visual Ui overhaul

That's ok I started with a cracked Reason 2.0
I think Image-Line use the same commercial plan as Microsoft: the consumer pirate they software first, later buy it because him loves it.

i love the ecosystem of fl studio mobile more than the pc version, its so easy to move and copy midi and automation around
it also easy for fl studio pc tho . 🗿🗿🗿🗿

I grew older since TS404. Me and my homies tripped balls over that. I am still upgrading my FL and Sound gear!
Sad that TS404's UI is pretty much gone on newer versions, but they kept the engine powering the synth for older projects
Crazy how sad FL use to be lol. its weird seeing things older than I am and how far they've come.
That was great. Thank you.
