+boofighter yup, it is a time consuming job but it's also a lot of fun. We'll put together a complete list of everything needed to do the job for the last episode on the process.
As someone who has worked on vehicles in -20 and colder (had to replace a blower fan in -30 on the crappiest car you could ever lay eyes on, and I've had to work on Too Drunk To Truck in the cold several times), I appreciate your dedication to the build. Unfortunately, not all of us can work in heated shops or places like California. If you want to work on a project car in Canada, you just have to be ready to be cold sometimes.
I got the notification of this being uploaded this morning and have been looking forward to watch this for the last 11 hours of molecular cell biology, two labs, statistics and working out ;.( I love you guys. Lol thanks for the videos! Totally made my day!
So excited to see a car enthusiast RUclips channel come out of Ontario. I'm actually located in the KW region. Hope I can see this thing run when you guys head out to TMP to crush a 1:17.30 lap time haha. Good job with the build and I'll definitely be following this until the end!
Fuel fired space heater is what you guys need in that shop. Have a 10k sqft shop in Alaska and a single one keeps the whole shop toasty warm throughout the winter 👍🏻👍🏻
+Speed Academy gotcha....ya a decent sized sucker is recommended on the opposite end of the shop. You guys are handy though! You can come up with something better than that little heater you have for sure!
This channel is underrated. You guys need like 1000000 subscriber. Keep up the great work. Can't wait for the ITB's. Can you do a review on that Husky work bench? I am thinking about buying one.
Dave, stacking socks doesn't work for some people for a couple reasons. One; it's possible for multiple pairs of socks to make your feet sweat and once they're even a little damp, good luck warming them. Two; insulation is about creating a warm air barrier, and if there's no room for air (e.g. sock material is compressed or tight fit between sock and boot) it'll feel less warm. Personally, a tight fit constricts circulation so my feet can't generate much heat to begin with. You guys are champs for working in those temps, I did a basic intake swap in -10 and hated it.
Ya I think for me it's the tightness and lack of air and wiggle room. You'd think all those years skiing in Quebec would have taught me how to keep my toes warm, but apparently not lol
Cool, I didn't think you'd actually reply to this haha. Really enjoying the videos you and Peter put together, hope we see some more of the FR-S in the future!
Wow, I never knew how hard the Jenveys are to fit. The Toda ones are amazingly simple (I'm sure that's not helpful :D) as they already have vac tappings, no issues with coolant neck clearance, TPS already fitted, and the throttle linkage is already installed and you can use the OEM cable. Impressed with your skills though :D
Still think the CNC speed shop 2.4 stroker would have been the better choice but I'm happy you guys are showing this isn't a bolt in item. Lots of time and patience
+Speed Academy great choice! I only said CNC stoker because you can reuse the stock Pistons with the kit instead of getting aftermarket. And has potential to make good NA power
awesome video as always! I don't mind slow progress. just a tip.. next time you cut a braided cable like that, try torching and soldering the spot where you're gonna cut so it doesn't fray.
@Speed Academy if you put a little length of heat shrink over the cable it will be a lot better and stop the fray from stabbing you. I did that on my turbo spitfire.
I just got the Under TB kit for my Datsun 280 so I could straighten out my cable from an S to a straight line. It took me an hour to figure out how to put it together (they actually sent me the wrong diagram) , and by the time I did, I realized they has sent me some wrong parts that didn't fit, and it took me weeks to try to get them to understand which parts I needed even though I sent them several pictures and diagrams. I've spent hours since then trying to figure out how it's gonna work with my set up, since my needs are reversed from all the diagrams. But I think I've finally figured it outI
Used the same throttle quadrant and it was a PITA - you would expect it to fit perfectly as they were all from the same supplier (Jenvey), but nooo.... I see you used the single cable version - I went for the twin cable in the expectation that I would use the second for a choke/fast idle cable. Never got round to it, but it's rare to get a frost here, let alone properly cold. After you cut the cable end (use SHARP side or end cutters) and slip the barrel over the end, re-trim it and use a piece of heatshrink over the end to prevent fraying and the sharp end cutting/scratching you.
Have you guys tried a propane forced-air heater? They're super cheap at around $100, and they're amazing at heating garage sized spaces. The only downside is that it needs a bit of space to operate safely and propane refills, of course.
+Cristian Lara That and it creates a ton of moisture so everything inside the shop thats metal tends to rust. Not to mention the sound of it would be detrimental to our audio recording. Sadly, we're just going to endure the cold and work through it.
Slowly but surely, the project is coming along! Loving this series! There's one little thing though. I remember seeing you put teflon on the return line fitting on the FPR. Hopefully that was not regular teflon... ? If it is, it will be munched up by the fuel (talking by experience) and filaments will flow in the return line back to the fuel tank. Not cool. You'd be better off with either nothing, or an O-ring, that could work if you won't trust the NPT threads. Or fuel grade teflon if you can find some.
I love these vids, you guys are awesome I love watching keep up the great work I can't wait to see this set up in action, maybe even a dyno run to see what the badasssss is putting down.
Another interesting episode, liked it! BTW The weirdest pronunciation of Toyota Celica , was "Chelica" the [tʃ] sound. And I think also only in Uk the pronunce impreza "impretsa"
I have a stock 02. I enjoy watching you cut up car. Tape throttle cable And cut with cutting wheel. You know this by know. I am in north Vermont. Where is your WOOD STOVE BROTHERS? You guys are great. Keep up the good work.
Keep fighting the cold! :) I think it's possible to keep the stock cable intact if you make that endlink thing shorter. Just a tip if you ever would want to go back to stock. Btw have you test fitted that huge air filter from ep1 yet? Think I got the same one but it seems way to big.
On the cable...when you are going to cut a cable, you can lead solder where you are going to cut it. That will hold the wires in place. Cut with a cutoff wheel
+Paul Downs Yuen definitely a custom job. It was designed for the F20C in Caterhams or race cars, so wasn't really ever intended as a direct bolt-on solution for the S2000. However, we will put together a complete list of instructors and pics to show how to do it yourself. It's really not too bad and it's actually lots of fun, but would be more fun to do in the summer. Haha
+Speed Academy I think I might just stick with the 1.8 and procharge it. got to make some money be selling my e36 with a bad head first. you guys wanna buy it? Cx
Should look into propane heating for your garage, I got a tank top single burner heats up the garage in no time to the point im in a t shirt and starting to sweat! and thats here in ottawa
+Hillermi10 we did think about propane but apparently it generates a lot of moisture, which scares PT since he's a rustophobe, plus it burns oxygen which scares my lungs lol.
Tip for working on a car while its cold, if you have snow outside, rub your hands with it and wait 10 minutes before starting to work, and you will fool your body into sending extra blood to your hands thus making them warm, but keep in mind if you do this often you will damage your hands. Also holding a cup of coffee will ruin the effect pretty fast.
+David Pratte Oh wow I didn't realize how much of a name TX2K had made for itself. Well that would definitely give me a strong reason to head down there. Just be careful the way you say Celica, because apparently everyone in America is there to correct you haha.
+Adam Leach Because we wanted the large increase in midrange power that the ITBs are supposedly going to bring. Plus the supercharger generates a lot of heat and for a lapping car we want to be able to do lap after lap after lap...
have you thought about plasti dip for the s2000? it only cost me around $400 for the entire kit with everything I needed and it turned out great on my s2000. its perfect for a track car.
I'm a fan of your show, too bad you guys have to go into winter hibernation and cant make as many videos. I have a question/request. I know you guys are running the hankook rs3 tires on badass 2000. Is it possible you can share you pyrometer data/ opinion on what target temperatures to shoot for with this tire. There is a lot of misinformation out there and a lot of uncertainty despite this tire being the most popular track day tire at many events. Thanks in advance guys. Keep the awesome videos coming
+willix231 Sure, we'll make a video with that data in the summer time. We also have a story on alignment setup: speed.academy/track-alignment-specs-honda-s2000/
+Speed Academy I have looked at you alignment thread. Great info and if I had an s2k I would start with your specs as a baseline. I wish tire manufacturers did a better job of telling customers what target temps where for optimum grip. it would make tuning tires much easier. Also I'm sure a few of your fans track fwd cars and I get the whole fwd=wrong wheel drive. But lets be honest a lot of people do own these cars an track them. maybe for the future consider buying a fwd project car. I'm sure it will draw even more fans to your channel. consider something like mazdaspeed3, focus/fiesta st, Manual trans GTI. The hothatch market is often ignored and I think its something that is becoming more and more popular everyday because of practicality and fuel economy concerns. Thanks a lot guys
So how much did you spend on this kit, and how much of it did you need to modify, or outsource parts? These things are a bit too expensive to not be a "Plug & Play" kit
I know it's too late now, but, could of you have mounted the tb linkage underslung on the front pair of bodies, this may ment no need to cut the oem throttle cable too.. 👍
+David Prattle, ah, OK, not going to lie, I don't know much about them engines, but was just wondering, as I use to have a (gm) vauxhall c20xe on itbs using that linkage, expensive for what it is, but works good. 👍
Cant wait to see that Vtec screaming. please keep going. i enjoy all your videos. if you could keep uploading how much do you spending on the BADASS2000, is interesting to see. anyway great videos bros :) Cheers from UK.
Come on Pete! I think I'm speaking for everyone when I say I'm VERY interested in Dave's sock and underwear set up. Dave, tell us: - Boxers, briefs, or boxer briefs? - Tube socks? Old man socks? Ankle socks?
+Jadon Ghereben yes, ITBs should allow us to jam more air into the combustion chambers, since we now have four 50mm throttle bodies instead of just one 62mm TB. We should pick up some top end power and quite a lot of mid-range power, plus an epic induction noise. As you'll see in the next video, we do add a giant air filter to the system to protect the engine from ingesting any rodents, sparrows, or non-living debris that happens to find its way into the engine bay ;)
Blob some solder at the point your going to cut the throttle cable next time and it wont frey and be a pain in the arse to thread through the cable end.
+David Pratte NP one of the benefits of doing this the way you guys are and having so many eyes watching is they're are many ways of doing things. I couldn't tell you how many times I've done something on a car and someone comes by and says the simplest ish and blows my mind. lol. I'll be waiting for the next one
+David Pratte You could probably attribute the constructive criticism to the way you guys approach these builds. Very well thought out, purposeful and with an end goal. In turn the viewership is going to reflect that. And as for knowing it all, that attitude is never show in been preserved by myself watching these videos. You guys are definitely willing to absorb as much info as you can in for others and like said before it shows. Basically this channel is mature in its attitude, even if we're all just boys and girls at heart playing with our big toys, and that's what you're gonna get on the back end.
+Speed Academy I'm a Automotive Engineer with plans of imigrating to Canada. Could you name some canadian autoparts industries based on Ontario? I have experience on that area and I Know that should be my best shot at geting a job there. Congratz on the series.I'm addicted.
I found Michael Gardner's channel he has well prepared nissan 350z for TA , I assume he will be your rival in TMS TA series in NA class? He set 1:16.63 .
+Федор Дикарев We're not really going to be running this car in a series. Rather we're building it to be faster than the times we've set it in previously.
Speed Academy check out my channel if you could i just started fixing up an r31 skyline to put it back on the road and build it into a complete street weapon with mostly all the mods focused on the chassis and suspension with a mostly stock motor
Speed Academy thanks! yeah well hopefullly i can slowly improve on my editing and being infront of the camera. my goal at the moment is 100 subscribers :)
+Carl Basson i like to tape them a few MM back from the end and then tin the cable with some solder to keep it from unraveling. that and cut with an abrasive wheel to avoid crushing the cable and makin them pointy bits point all over.
+Chris Reeves it'll still fray some. tightly wrapped tape is best. or I think you can even use a drop of thin ca glue and it should wick into braided wire.
Dave I randomly stumbled upon an auto guide video where u were hosting the civic vs integra video. I couldnt beleive it haha are you still involved with them?? :)
+Muzza Miki Dave still does a few videos here and there for them. He's just been very busy with our Speed Academy stuff so there's not much time for the AG vids.
I am glad you are showing the realistic time line for these builds. Nothing goes as fast as you think.
+boofighter yup, it is a time consuming job but it's also a lot of fun. We'll put together a complete list of everything needed to do the job for the last episode on the process.
+David Pratte thats great thank you mate.
boofighter except let's waste 3 minutes talking about valve cover colors they didn't even get
That's unbelievable that your channel hasn't reached the 100k subs..
Hope it'll come, your content deserves way more attention !
I get excited at work when I get a phone notification for one of your videos. keep it up boys almost there!
+BMTMvids Excellent to hear! Thanks for watching.
Getting closer to hearing the ITB goodness.
I think i speak for all the SA fan when i say we appreciate you guys still uploading great content even though its cold as shit there.. Thanks gents!
That's dedication working in the cold. My project has been shut down until it's at least above 0. Greetings from Ottawa area!
The ITBs look beautiful. 'Can't wait to see the dyno results from all this work.
+Scott Ryman Yup! You're very right, although that's not going to stop us from complaining and wishing we were in California haha.
I was looking forward to the hot pink valve cover...much disappoint.
+Ethanmeister ya, we totally pussied out. Or at least Pete did. Haha. The wrinkle black does look good, though.
I got the notification of this being uploaded this morning and have been looking forward to watch this for the last 11 hours of molecular cell biology, two labs, statistics and working out ;.( I love you guys. Lol thanks for the videos! Totally made my day!
+Luis Lujan Wow, we're more important than school ;) Thanks for the love. Stoked that you love the videos.
Love you channel and all your work guys. Thanks for the great content and for representing Ontario!
Thanks Nick!
Awesome! Happy about the valve cover! Yes.
This is my new favorite channel. You guys are awesome.
Great job guys! Looking forward to seeing the video where it runs!
Awesome stuff as usual guys, keep it up, can't wait to hear it when it hits VTEC...
So excited to see a car enthusiast RUclips channel come out of Ontario. I'm actually located in the KW region. Hope I can see this thing run when you guys head out to TMP to crush a 1:17.30 lap time haha. Good job with the build and I'll definitely be following this until the end!
+Skyline7 Thanks! We'll be out lapping in the spring time so watch our FB page for postings as to the dates we'll be out there.
Fuel fired space heater is what you guys need in that shop. Have a 10k sqft shop in Alaska and a single one keeps the whole shop toasty warm throughout the winter 👍🏻👍🏻
+JazzzMee 2 We dont have any proper venting for such a setup sadly.
+Speed Academy gotcha....ya a decent sized sucker is recommended on the opposite end of the shop. You guys are handy though! You can come up with something better than that little heater you have for sure!
Can't wait to hear some awesome vtecccccccc noises! You guys have listed Part 1 and Part 2 of the jenvey install as both EP03 btw.
This channel is underrated. You guys need like 1000000 subscriber. Keep up the great work. Can't wait for the ITB's. Can you do a review on that Husky work bench? I am thinking about buying one.
+vangt858 sure man, I'll see if Ken wants to do a review on the work bench. He just picked it up over the holidays. On sale cheap at HD.
Dave, stacking socks doesn't work for some people for a couple reasons. One; it's possible for multiple pairs of socks to make your feet sweat and once they're even a little damp, good luck warming them.
Agreed with David on the linkage :D, reminds me of the M3 e30 and euro M3 e36 with all the shafts and links moving together.
+Mark B Well these weren't exactly designed to fit the S2000 so there's some custom work required but the results will hopefully all be worth it!
+Speed Academy - can't wait to hear the noise and dyno results. Mine are being mapped late Feb :)
At bike shops we have special snips for cutting cables and housings so they don't fray. You could probably pick up a pair from park tools.
+Owen Cordes Good call, will look into those next time.
lil tip that could help with braided cables is soldering them before cutting. i've learned that the hardway
+Coty Phachansiri You're not the first to mention that, brilliant!
That valve cover looks great
looking good.. can't wait for the vetc to open up.. !!!!
Still think the CNC speed shop 2.4 stroker would have been the better choice but I'm happy you guys are showing this isn't a bolt in item. Lots of time and patience
+Ryan Ramirez If we replace the engine, then we'll go with K-power since it has the potential to make some serious jam.
+Speed Academy great choice! I only said CNC stoker because you can reuse the stock Pistons with the kit instead of getting aftermarket. And has potential to make good NA power
you can get those adjustable cable nipples from any motorbike shop in various sizes.
+Rusty Nutzz good to know, thanks!
awesome video as always! I don't mind slow progress. just a tip.. next time you cut a braided cable like that, try torching and soldering the spot where you're gonna cut so it doesn't fray.
+AUTONERD Thats a great tip! Will do that next time!
Keep up the great videos guys! You have great attitudes and great content!
+Ryan Schneider Thanks!
@Speed Academy if you put a little length of heat shrink over the cable it will be a lot better and stop the fray from stabbing you. I did that on my turbo spitfire.
+Bear Holmes Thanks for the tip!
Doesn't look that cold - you guys are good actors :)

+GTtuner56 We're already ahead of you. The Teflon tape has been removed and an o-ring has replaced it :)
+Speed Academy Good to know! can't wait for the next part!
I love these vids, you guys are awesome I love watching keep up the great work I can't wait to see this set up in action, maybe even a dyno run to see what the badasssss is putting down.
+Victor “Bigsexy” Oliveira We can't either!! We're hoping to wrap up the install in the next video.
its like christmas when these videos get uploaded
+Ham Garcia Haha, well Christmas will continue to come then :)
Another interesting episode, liked it! BTW The weirdest pronunciation of Toyota Celica , was "Chelica" the [tʃ] sound. And I think also only in Uk the pronunce impreza "impretsa"
yes thank you fellas
I have a stock 02. I enjoy watching you cut up car. Tape throttle cable And cut with cutting wheel. You know this by know. I am in north Vermont. Where is your WOOD STOVE BROTHERS? You guys are great. Keep up the good work.
+twots22 We dont own the shop otherwise we would have TWO wood stoves!!
stoked for next part.
Love all of you're videos. Very much respect!
Ganbate!
+太郎新井 Thank you!
Keep fighting the cold! :)
I think it's possible to keep the stock cable intact if you make that endlink thing shorter. Just a tip if you ever would want to go back to stock.
Btw have you test fitted that huge air filter from ep1 yet? Think I got the same one but it seems way to big.
Thanks Anders! We just fit the filter up today. It is big but we stuffed it in there. You'll see it and here your name in the next episode 😀
Awesome, well I guess you just jammed it in there then lol
+Anders W haha, yup!
Way to soldier through the bitter cold, fellas! I'm running my s2K with the top down here in southern AZ...(Sorry!) Fantastic videos guys!,
+Jeff Loker Thanks, it's messages like these that keep us motivated enough to keep working through it!
I support the use of the word "Booo-urns" PT. Also, great work guys, watching your videos gets me motivated to get my project finished.
+Ryan Dougherty Haha thanks!
I'm supposed to be asleep for work. but Speed Academy first :)
Haha well we appreciate it, fellas! Stay warm!
Whoops, I think my sausage fingers accidentally reported your comment. Sorry, I'll call off the YT police.
On the cable...when you are going to cut a cable, you can lead solder where you are going to cut it. That will hold the wires in place. Cut with a cutoff wheel
+vaz Fx Thanks for the tip, if only we had thought of that BEFORE cutting it lol
+Speed Academy : I know because I have been there :) Your project is looking good. Keep it up!
You guys are awesome! please keep up the good work.
Great vid, Sounds fair to say that the Jenvey kit needs quite abit of work to fit.
Haha
You should cut anything that will fray by wrapping it in tape and using a dremmel (like -AN lines).
Should of went with red, keep it JDM if you know what i mean, but overall its still nice...cant wait to hear that VTEC THROUGH THEM ITB'S!!!
Totally correct about the celica pronunciation! Drove me crazy but mods are more important than word pronunciation.
I like the way you guys say Celica, its the same way we say it in Australia, aka the right way!
Cheers guys - as always great entertainment. Shame that RUclips doesn't have that dirty super like button.
Where can we get one of those!? The Stag Shop? 😆
Red na miata in the back? Keep the Sr20 in mind for a swap, that's what I want to do to my 2003 nb I bought yesterday. shout out from Phoenix AZ!
+Joseph Morris Go K-swap! Thats apparently the new hot setup in the Miata.
+Speed Academy I think I might just stick with the 1.8 and procharge it. got to make some money be selling my e36 with a bad head first. you guys wanna buy it? Cx
Do a google search for a cannon heater. They are AWESOME. It warms my two car garage up into the 70's easliy. Cheap also around $100.
+NavyTrev The loud sound it makes is a big issue for us when recording audio so we stay away from them.
Also...from my bike experience, you need to wind up the wires in alignment and you can solder or glue the end ;).
+Brodey Dover ya, I was thinking we could glue it on as a precaution, though the lock nuts on the Jenvey cable end does seem to work very well.
+David Pratte at the minimum put medium thread locker on the set screw.
Loving this.
Legit, when Dave raised the garbage bag and said surprise for PT I said, "Yoga mat!".
+Brodey Dover haha, he does love the hot yoga. Mostly for the sweaty chicks in yoga pants...
If you guys ever come to Texas, can you let us know? I may be yall's biggest fan haha.
We definitely need to check out TX2K
+David Pratte Oh wow I didn't realize how much of a name TX2K had made for itself. Well that would definitely give me a strong reason to head down there. Just be careful the way you say Celica, because apparently everyone in America is there to correct you haha.
+doctorlobsteroctopus haha we'll leave the Celica at home 😆
This seems like so much extra work vs installing a super charger. Why did you choose ITB's???
+Adam Leach Because we wanted the large increase in midrange power that the ITBs are supposedly going to bring. Plus the supercharger generates a lot of heat and for a lapping car we want to be able to do lap after lap after lap...
Just out of curiosity, are you guys going to be doing any more aero modifications? I'd be keen to see what a difference a diffuser could make.
Diffuser is on our To Do list
+David Pratte will you be using C3 Composites again to make your own, or using a pre-manufactured piece?
Not sure. Kevin from C3 has made airboxes before but there are some nice ones on the market too that we could easily adapt to the Jenveys.
love that fd right there
Need to get some proper heating in the garage!
But the suffering keeps us grounded 😆
have you thought about plasti dip for the s2000? it only cost me around $400 for the entire kit with everything I needed and it turned out great on my s2000. its perfect for a track car.
+Guillermo Islas We have been considering it, that or a wrap.
+Speed Academy Awesome cant wait for more videos
Quick tip try taping the metal cable before cutting and it won't fray
+I am knowledge Thanks! We'll do that next time.
Little trick for cutting throttle cables is to throw some electrical tape around it then cut through the tape an the line keeps it from fraying
Thanks for the awesome tip!
Words of advice from Jenna Jamison, "Just spit on it. It'll go in".
Haha. Nice guys. Always a good view.
I'm a fan of your show, too bad you guys have to go into winter hibernation and cant make as many videos. I have a question/request. I know you guys are running the hankook rs3 tires on badass 2000.
Again the mx5 😍 would love to see a video on it
are you guys having sasha tune it?
cant wait to see the hp numbers.
Yup, Sasha will tune it soon
So how much did you spend on this kit, and how much of it did you need to modify, or outsource parts? These things are a bit too expensive to not be a "Plug & Play" kit
I know it's too late now, but, could of you have mounted the tb linkage underslung on the front pair of bodies, this may ment no need to cut the oem throttle cable too.. 👍
+scott parker we thought about that, but the way the cam and linkage to the throttle valves work means we couldn't relocate the linkage mounts.
+David Prattle, ah, OK, not going to lie, I don't know much about them engines, but was just wondering, as I use to have a (gm) vauxhall c20xe on itbs using that linkage, expensive for what it is, but works good. 👍
Cant wait to see that Vtec screaming. please keep going. i enjoy all your videos.
if you could keep uploading how much do you spending on the BADASS2000, is interesting to see. anyway great videos bros :)
Cheers from UK.
+Mind2k Thank you!
love this.
Come on Pete! I think I'm speaking for everyone when I say I'm VERY interested in Dave's sock and underwear set up. Dave, tell us:
- Boxers, briefs, or boxer briefs?
- Tube socks? Old man socks? Ankle socks?
Haha, I'm a Calvin Klein boxer brief guy. My wife says they make me look like Mark Whalberg 😆
So the point of an itb would be to get more air right? What about the filter or do you still have to add those on? Great video
+David Pratte awesome thanks for the info I can't wait to hear this beast come alive
Blob some solder at the point your going to cut the throttle cable next time and it wont frey and be a pain in the arse to thread through the cable end.
You guys are really great haha
I would suggest that you use thread locker on the cable end. Last thing you want is to lose the gas pedal under full throttle conditions at full load
We did exactly that, thanks for the tip!
+David Pratte NP one of the benefits of doing this the way you guys are and having so many eyes watching is they're are many ways of doing things. I couldn't tell you how many times I've done something on a car and someone comes by and says the simplest ish and blows my mind. lol. I'll be waiting for the next one
+jameannohere it has been great getting so much constructive feedback. We're learning a lot from the comments, which has been an unexpected pleasure.
Oh and I don't mean we thought we knew it all, but rather thought we'd mostly get trolled haha
Use heatshrink next time if you splice the cable.
+LOL you Great tip thanks!
If you guys didn't need to record audio I'd say use a blast heater, that the only thing I've seen really warm up a shop.
+MC1796 That was exactly the issue with one of those, our audio would be DONZO.
put the oil heater in front of the fan heater
+That-JDM-Fascination! Great tip!!
Speed Academy check out my channel if you could i just started fixing up an r31 skyline to put it back on the road and build it into a complete street weapon with mostly all the mods focused on the chassis and suspension with a mostly stock motor
+That-JDM-Fascination! Cool car! Looks like you've got some work to do but thats the fun part!
Speed Academy thanks! yeah well hopefullly i can slowly improve on my editing and being infront of the camera. my goal at the moment is 100 subscribers :)
+Speed Academy Just so you know here in the uk I think you pronounce celica correctly! Just to boost your spirits in your ridiculously cold country ;D
Will you guys ever do a 350z build? Or have you done one in the past
+NHL Guru We've done a couple through Modified Magazine so we don't see us building one anytime soon.
should of taped the cable where you planned to cut . a cyclist trick
+Carl Basson good tip!
+Carl Basson Works for motorcycles too ;)
+Carl Basson i like to tape them a few MM back from the end and then tin the cable with some solder to keep it from unraveling.
that and cut with an abrasive wheel to avoid crushing the cable and makin them pointy bits point all over.
And aircraft using a pull pull control system
+Chris Reeves it'll still fray some. tightly wrapped tape is best. or I think you can even use a drop of thin ca glue and it should wick into braided wire.
Dave I randomly stumbled upon an auto guide video where u were hosting the civic vs integra video. I couldnt beleive it haha are you still involved with them?? :)
+Muzza Miki Dave still does a few videos here and there for them. He's just been very busy with our Speed Academy stuff so there's not much time for the AG vids.
Episode when by soo fast :( Can't wait hear all that vtaaakkk!
Tape cable end, then solder, to avoid the frayed end dilemma?
You're saying Celica the French way. Which is correct when talking about car names. Canada's prononciation is correct.
aw man i was hoping for spoon yellow
Hey guys, what were the old wheels off the Rx7? CCW's if so are they for sale? And if so, what are the specs and size? Thanks guys!
+jdmcommute Ken's just about to have them refinished. I believe he intends to keep them.
awwww... dissapointed you didnt go with hot pink
With that cable end, couldn't you have just put it on the cable before you cut it?
