A suggested refinement would be to make the relative position of each throttle pin in relation to the actuator bar, so you could balance them precisely.

+1 for this. Being able to sync the itbs together is critical to a good tune. Multiple ways you can do it, but the logical way would be to fab the linkage out of all thread and use nuts fore and aft of each butterfly pickup to control sync.

Starting up a Locost build with a Duratec 2.5, may take a crack on DIY ITB's Given the cost of the kits, I might give it a try with the help of 3d modeling and SendCutSend for custom plates

Nice video, but I got a question. I'm thinking about converting my 4afe to ITB with a 4age 20v intake manifold. Got an awesome offer on one. But I'm not sure about the air flow meter/ECU and how to get it running right.
Is it even a problem, or am I just making something up.
Hope somebody understands and can help.
    Cheers

That sounds fun! Best thing would be to remove the air flow meter all together and go with a stand alone ecu. Don't waste your time trying to get good power gains from a stock ecu on a different engine.
      Good luck my friend 😁

Hello Matt. Do you think one of these can be easily fabbed up for a 1.6L or 1.8L Miata engine? What ITBs did you use?

Great concept! Well atleast if the fuel injectors are directly on the cylinder head like on the 5EFE. This will not work for example on a 4AFE were the injectors fit on the intake manifold. Any thoughts??

Buy the weld on injector bungs and put the rail wherever you like

    How does the idle work?
    How do you balance them?
EDIT: Running on tps or map?

I was firstly running these on TPS only so I didn't need to balance them. I have since hooked up a balancer box by drilling each runner and putting a pipe in there to fit a vacuum hose to, then hook all four up to a box so that I can run map now
