You should be a tiny bit scared by how many old folks are watching you watch the BEST MUSIC OF ALL TIME
We let him pass cause he's adorable 😂
We just appreciate young people who are experiencing the same joy we experienced the first time we heard these songs. Nice to know some people still have good taste these days and can experience life before autotune.
@Bancheis yes.
I’m 57. Saw this live in 94. 😂
💯I’m 55. We had the best music ever. And I’m so glad others are learning abt our time in music.
A unique bit about the Eagles. ALL of them could sing lead. They created some of the best music of the 70s, to be sure!
Loved them for decades, but now what poses as the Eagles are a fraud.
@@chriskelly6559 Agree.......more like Don Henley & Friends!
Don Felder, the guy playing the double-neck guitar in this video, did not sing lead for the Eagles. All the others on stage for this video sang lead in various songs. And were really good at it.

As a 64 year old man seeing a young lad like yourself discovering the joy of great bands from my era restores my faith in humanity you have sooooooo much to experience 👍😊
You said it. Never has music topped our era of great music
By the way, I'm 78 y/o and have heard my fair share of rock music. Remember no autotune, no gimmicks, just real raw talent. It's really refreshing to see you enjoying the music that made my generation.
And it lasted not just years but decades. The music is still played on radio and events.
I'm 66 years old, and I get so happy to see kids enjoying the music from my high school years that it brings tears to my eyes and warmth to my heart. When I see young people enjoying my music, it tells me they are true music lovers. I love all types of music too, so I get it. The people that hate when you react to classic rock have closed minds. Keep doing what you're doing and explore many more genres of music. Music broadens your mind.
@@brettsmith902 I’m 72 and I agree 💯! So much fun to watch their faces melt from the guitar solos or the look of sheer joy when the band starts and the singer starts belting it out. Dang those were some fun times ☮️💙👵🏼
GenX weighing in here at age 57 and I agree, great to see you enjoying this
And I am 63, and I agree as well!
Agree, 54 yo woman from The Netherlands. @Mollyboy sorry to heat that people leaf your channel because of this music. They just have a bet taste
Love watching your reactions at the golden oldies.
I’m 61 and took these songs for granted back in the day. It brings tears to my eyes as well because I listen to these songs everyday still as though they just came out yesterday. We were there. We lived it. You young people that react to “our” music will also live it and appreciate it 50 years from now. Great reaction!!
Joe walsh is playing the normal guitar. All of the members of that band are lead singers
What the hell is a normal guitar
@@Jkh59 Not a double neck.
They wouldn't let Don Felder sing lead on anything that's why he left . BTW He's the one that wrote hotel California...
Felder left because Glenn Frey fired him.
@@charlesallison146 Don Felder wrote the music to Hotel California... Don Henley and Glenn Frey wrote the words. But yes, Felder was not the lead singer for any Eagles song, but all the others on the stage for this video was a lead vocalist for various songs... many of them hits.
The guitar solo in Hotel California is one of the most legendary/iconic moments in all of rock history.
If you ever interrupt it, you will be savaged!
@@michaeldmcgee4499 it’s one of those moments that you don’t turn the car off if it’s playing when you arrive at your destination - you let the song play out before turning off the ignition and going back to reality!
More like a guitar duet
Joe and Don do the guitar duo masterfully.

Three singer/drummers: Don Henley here, Phil Collins of Genesis and solo artist fame, and the very lovely Karen Carpenter of The Carpenters! RIP Karen ❤
Levon Helm, Ringo Starr, Sheila E, Dave Grohl and more....
Took my wife to see Mark Lindsey who opened for The Carpenters at a 1971 concert. We almost left after his performance, but I've been eternally thankful we didn't. Karen was amazing, but there are really no words--and yes, she played the drums. :)
I love being a 70 year old kid watching you discover the music I grew up playing ❤
You have to understand that as a child in the 70s, this was playing everywhere, all the time. Everyone had the album. The radio played it constantly. And we all loved it and still do.
One of the biggest selling albums of all time.
I had it in the 80's.

I was in high school when they was popular in the 70s. I was lucky to live in that era with all of the great music.
Growing up with this music, and as a musician myself, I was already aware of how great this music really was. Still is!
Levon Helms from the Band, Phil Collins from Genesis and lets not forget Karen Carpenter were great leadsinging drummers.
Karen Carpenter. For my money the greatest female vocalist ever
Donnie Brewer from Grand Funk Railroad is a wicked singer & even a better drummer!
And Ringo Starr... even Paul McCartney has sang while drumming.
Gil Moore of Triumph

I Absolutely Detest Karen Carpenter's voice. I have to switch off whatever I'm listening to if she comes on. Her voice is like nails on a blackboard to my ears. Only her.
I like other singers, (both male and female) but _NOT_ _her_

When you figure out he is singing about drug addiction, it just becomes even more epic.
Yes, Hotel California is really about being in Mental Institution hospital or rehab. As they say in the song "you can check in ( into the Mental Hospital or rehab) anytime you like, but you can never leave" .
Not many bands in history were blessed with 2 lead guitarists of that caliber.
Every member of the Eagles is a lead singer. They are a truly phenomenal band.
Yes, a true ‘supergroup’.
Every member had had a successful solo career before they formed the Eagles.
thanks
Most of them had solo careers after they broke up. Then they got back together with the Hell Freezes Over album.
The Eagles bridged the gap between Rock, Southern Rock, Pop, and Country music. They are the only rock group that you might actually hear on a country station. The Eagles are almost their own genre of music.
Creedence Clearwater Revival had a couple of songs that got play on country stations. One was a semi-hit, country-wise: "Lookin' Out My Backdoor".
They were not Southern rock or Country, though, at all--they were properly the LA/southern California sound.
Not true early Fleetwood Mac sync over my head and and Steely Dan both crossover to country with their early work
And they are so fantastic in concert!
This song added reggae to the mix. At one time it's working title was 'Mexican Reggae.'
Eagles Greatest Hits (1971-1975) is the best-selling album of all time in the U.S.
And it's killer. Not a bad apple in the bunch.
No It's not guns n roses are number one seller ecer In America 46 million and still sell 5k A week Tell this day that was 40 years ago they sold 46 million ATF did !
Yep, sans Joe too.
Although -- taking nothing from Eagles -- Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon -- no album has ever surpassed it in sales or # of weeks on top charts... more than 11 straight years week-after-week.
@danrieke9988 Guns n roses have facts . They sell still 5k A week last 40 years after selling 46 million In America with ATFD their very first record
I'm 78 years old - I was at the live concert in 1977 in Houston TX. This was on a football field with everyone sitting on blankets. It blew my mind. On top of that, the double bill was with Jimmy Buffett! A great memory.
Perhaps the band with the most musicianship ever. They all could sing, and obviously play at a high level of execution. Don Henley, the drummer, was such a great singer that he went on a solo career as a singer. Let that sink in.
Toto has entered the chat. All virtuoso musicians; session players who (when they weren't recording the best selling album of all time - Thriller) recorded some of the best music of all time.

Thank you for your service. Even though it seemed my generation was against that war, I still respect your sacrifice.
You don't get much better than bands like the Eagles, Floyd, and Zeppelin. I am so glad I was born in 62; I have seen so many great bands.
The Eagles motto was you wrote it you sing it
Sorta. Don Felder wrote the music to this song. Don Henley wrote the lyrics and sings it. I would argue that the music is what really makes this song so memorable rather than the cryptic lyrics. The opening guitar intro and outro in particular stand out as iconic.
Ah, the eagles. They've always given me a peaceful, easy feeling. 😉
I see what you did there😂
Well you just Take it Easy. We dont want a Heartbreak Tonight. That would be tragic when you're living Life in the Fast Lane.
When the Eagles broke up & many pursued solo careers one of them was asked when they'd get back together and tour & he replied "when hell freezes over" - a decade later, despite many of them hating each other, they announced the "Hell freezes over" tour. I was an event emergency medical technician working big fairs & shows - and was standing just off stage for the first show - it was pretty incredible.
Nothing like seeing the Eagles live with all the guitars lined up on the stage. I've seen them 5 or 6 times. Each time was a pleasant night of absolute perfection.
This song is what we referred to as EPIC back in the day. The music comes in waves and you don't want it to end.
Real talent.
Real musicians
Real music.
😁😎🎸🇬🇧🇺🇦
Anyone that unsubscribes due to classic rock , doesn't deserve to be on your channel. Yes, its about the music but it's your enthusiasm and non bias honesty for each song. 🤘🏻🤘🏻 Bio Hazard, Punishment
What the haters fail to realize is that almost none of the thrash metal musicians they love were influenced by thrash metal growing up. Chronologically it just wasn't possible - the genre didn't exist yet. A ton of them were actually influenced by classical music, and I can guarantee you none of the haters are listening to that! But their music idols are... 😜
Another great Eagles song with a different vocalist is “I can’t tell you why”
Massive amount of talent in that band. So many good tunes
Most people who have never heard this song are amazed at the guitar outro, but you were all about Don Henley singing and playing the drums. That made me click 'subscribe'. :)
Eagles are absolutely one of the most iconic bands of the 70s. They were and still considered one of the greatest bands of all time.Being a teen through the entire 70s was amazing with this music.
One of THE most iconic songs by an American band.....ever.
In these days of music mediocrity, it is painful to think that today's youth will not ever have the experience of turning on the radio and hearing gems like this playing. It was the 'normal', everyday sound of our lives that we had come to expect back then.
Not just this song, the entire album!
Pure unadulterated talent. No computers or auto tune !! These people were exceptional artists in every respect. Fake singers like Taylor Swift can’t hold a candle to this type of talent. She couldn’t sing without Autotune. This was pure musicianship thank God I saw them live 4 or 5 times as a young teenager and college student. They came out one time and sat on stools for almost three hours and just played and sang.
the harmonies..... in the vocals and the guitars.... heaven♥♥♥
Definitely, the Eagles are at the top of the Goat conversation. When you think of the amount of hit songs released. The quality, range, and innovation!
That dual solo at the end is one of the highlights of Rock history imho :-)
There has never been another band that can beat the Eagles when it comes to the quality, and precision of the performances they put on. Every single detail is absolutely nailed down. They made some truly great music, and every time they performed it the goal was nothing less than perfection.
Steely Dan fits that description as well.
Rush!
Queen live were perfection personified
I disagree there are probably some bands they have done better than the Eagles in live performances but I admit they were very close to perfection
The dave Clark 5 in the 60s had a singing drummer try bits and pieces.
When they played live their thing was to sound like their albums. It was what they wanted. This happens with true talent.
Saw them a few years ago, still perfection❤
I love the fact that the lead singer depends on what song they are playing! Many amazing singers in this band!!!😂❤️💞💓💕💗💚💜💝🩵❤️🔥💖💘🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❣️❣️
I am 65... How I miss the 70s!!! ❤
One of the greatest tracks in the history or rock 'n roll, and a stellar live performance to boot. This one is immortal.
The Eagles are a phenomenal band, with decades of hits behind them, but this song will always be my favorite.
Seven Bridges Road is short, simple and absolutely beautiful, live is actually better for the vocal quality of these astoundingly talented bunch of guys
Don Felder is a very underrated guitarist
My favorite band of all time. They never recorded a bad song. And I am 82, so I have heard most of them.
The best song ever
Every member can sing, they use that to their advantage. One of the best group of musicians there has ever been. Simply amazing.
Don Felder, the guy playing the double-neck guitar in this video, did not sing lead for the Eagles. All the others on stage for this video sang lead in various songs. And were really good at it.
Most of the band wrote and sang their own songs. Take It To The Limit from the same gig is excellent. One of the greatest live performances in the history of concerts.
YES!! YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO THAT FROM THIS SAME CONCERT!! Randy Meisner sings it, the bass player, beautiful voice, sigh, person, didn’t like the limelight, and if you notice, he keeps his ass shit most of the time he is singing it, but you will get such a kick out of the notes he hits at the end it’s unbelievable! My very favorite Eagles song of all and they are my favorite band and I have 2 tons of hits. I very much like to see you react to it. Randy, Randy Meisner, saying take it to the limit by the Eagles and I think this was 77, you’ll see the clothes and outfits are the same. Thanks And liked your review
Oops, sorry about some of the words that even sounded a little bit ornery , ha ha. I’m sure most people use the voice thing when they are going to talk about something and auto correct changes it into it they don’t mean. But I think you got it and I promise you you will love that song by the Eagles sung by Randy. He passed away a few months ago, sadly, such a loss, RIP, dear Mr. Meisner. Even if you don’t react to you, would you please mind putting a little note on here that you listened to it and what you thought of the song and Randy? I just totally love that song for some reason it gives me peace of mind.
FYI, Karen Carpenter played drums and sang lead with one of the most beautiful female voices of the era albeit her drum playing did not require the energy or complexity of most rock music. Just a thought. Thank you for your reaction. Your honest facial expressions say it all.
This song, the instruments and music is great, but it's one of the best story telling songs. It's the lyrics, a story that engages and captivates the listener. It's like watching a great movie, through music.
It's ridiculous that you have to worry about copyright issues, but that's Don Henley for you! Still a phenomenal band and a timeless song!
In the 80’s and into the 90’s everyone owned the Eagles greatest hits. It was required :)
The thing about the Eagles is they could all sing the lead. Different songs were sung by different bad members.
A little history for ya Son.
The Eagles NEVER made or released a bad song. Period!
Great job my Man.
PS. Hey Bro the double guitar is almost always a 12 string neck on the top and a 6 string neck on the bottom.
That way, you have a 12 string and a 6 string in 1 guitar!
And, a 12 string sounds absolutely beautiful. (Not saying a 6 string doesn't, btw)
Almost always...Greg Lake from ELP had a double-neck 6-string with a 4-string bass. He was a guitarist to start off, but played bass and guitar for King Crimson and ELP.
@@michaeldransfield8775 Maybe that's why I said, "almost?"
Another interesting note that most people don't realize when they see/ hear a guitar harmony is that it's not two guitars playing the same part together. It's one guitar playing the melody and the other playing the harmonies of that solo, usually on the third or fifth notes.
Much more complicated than people think.
( I know that has nothing to do with what you were talking about but I saw you guitar nerding and I wanted to nerd out too!"
Eagles are my favourite band ever.
I was born in 1965, but I was the youngest of 7 kids, so this was the music I grew up listening to. Also my dad was a jukebox repair man and sometimes he would being his "work" home with him, so it wasn't unusual to have a jukebox in our living room. To say the least all of our friends, wanted to hang out at our house, 😂
One of the best outro's ever written.
Love Gary Moore’s Still Got The Blues For You too.
Today is 5 years since my father passed away - July 16th. His favorite song was Lyin' Eyes by the Eagles. I have the '45 single he bought way way back when I was a kid. Great band!
I'm sorry about your dad. You have my condolences. Yes, Lyin' Eyes is a great song, your dad had good taste.

Definitely one of them.... along with Chicago Live 1977 but on youtube in low-def. Still one of the greatest with their original group singing... 25 or 6 to 4 with Terry Kath still alive with them.... he was a guitar great with a untimely early accidental death and the brass section intact.
Live too and Led Zeppelin Live with Stairway to Heaven at Madison Square Garden 1973 I believe one is best and some better quality same concert. One by Elvin Bishop's group where Mickey Thomas actually sang lead with Reni Slais.... THEY KILL IT together with Evin on guitar. The New * Fooled Around and Fell in Love "Live" 4K version. It was from 1976 and this one is Ai remastered.... vs others. Some even say it was 77 or 75. The version with Reni with Mickey and PERFECT LIVE.

Don Felder, the gent playing the 12 over 6 guitar is a premium guitar player. He is also the member that wrote this song. He has many amazing contributions to the Eagles catalog and is a founding member of the group. And? Joe Walsh is the second lead and he is also an amazing guitarist. The two together? Dynamite. 🎉
Don Felder is an excellent guitar player, and he wrote the music to Hotel California. However, the words were written by Don Henley and Glenn Frey, so Felder is *one of* the writers of Hotel California. And Felder was not a founding member of the group... he was added for the 3rd album.
@@BobKovacs true that. But the song would not exist if Felder had not developed the crazy guitar parts. Thank you for your comments and hope you are living your best life.

70's were a great time to be alive !
I will be 58 this year. This song has been my ABSOLUTE ALL TIME FAVORITE since the late 70's /early 80's. Used to tell people that if you put me in a room with nothing but this song playing 24/7, I would never get tired of it.
I was at that concert in '77. Late HB and I got tickets as a wedding gift. The most awesome concert outside of Woodstock I have been to. FYI everyone on that stage by themselves is a lead singer. You'll understand if you dive into their catalog. Keep going, you're exploring some of the best music ever!
I saw the Eagles twice, but it was prior to the Hotel California album. Good concerts, though. This video for Hotel California is off-the-charts great for 1977, both sound and visuals. I can believe it was a really good show.

I love it when you play the songs from the 70's. They don't make music like that anymore. Real vocals and instruments. Some of the best music ever. Keep it up, it is a deep well that will continue to surprise you.
I saw The Eagles play this live in 1977 in Fort Worth, Texas. It was a great concert. Our seats were in the lower stands, not on the floor but to the right of the stage. Jimmy Buffett opened for them, and afterward he came out in the arena and stood near us and watched The Eagles perform.
