I've been a drummer since I was 8 years old and I have always sung. I am now 67 years old. In one band I was the lead singer. It's just something I can do.
I got my driver's license in 1977! The Eagles don't have a "Lead" singer, songs are sung by multiple leads, Glenn Frey, Don Hendly, Joe Walsh etc. Basically the inhabitants of Hotel California are "Spirits"!
Don Henley. Excellent drummer and singer! The "Hotel California", is the State of California. Very interesting. Dig into it. Keep up the great work, you two! Kudos!
Considered one of the greatest bands ever. They were all singer/songwriters, played multiple instruments. The dueling guitar solos are some of the most famous in history. The story is an allegory about the southern California music scene in the 70's, the music business and other negative factors that enter into it.

We, who have heard this a few hundred times, still love it. We don't tire of it. BTW, there was a decent hotel in San Francisco called "The Californian" but everything changes. From Wiki --The Spero Hotel, originally the Hotel Californian and later the Serrano Hotel, is a historic hotel building at 403 Taylor Street in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco, California. It was designed by architect Edward E. Young and built in 1923. A four story addition designed by Alfred Henry Jacobs was completed in 1929. The 12-story hotel is at 405 Taylor Street. It underwent a $16 million renovation and became the Spero Hotel in 2018.[2] It is listed on the listed on the National Register of Historic Places in San Francisco, California since 1998;[3] and it is a contributing property to the National Register of Historic Places's Uptown Tenderloin Historic District since 2009. There are many hotels with the name "California".
the acoustic version from the "Hell Freezes Over" reunion with the Spanish guitars is awesome as well. RIP Glenn Frye. Don Henley sings lead on some of my fave Eagles songs. Don Felder, the dude with the double neck guitar, wrote the music for this. Such an underrated and talented musician.

I have seen them live 11 times. They never disappoint!
😄 Ha!! the young lady dropped a Pat Benatar lyric right into the convo. Kudos!! "...and no one can tell us we're wrong"
I saw them in New Orleans at the Superdome in 1978 and put on a hell of a performance
Bought the 8 track the day it came out, what a time to be alive!
Great Eagles Song! 😎🎼🎵🎶🇨🇦
Got the pleasure of seeing them live in 01. They sounded EXACTLY the same! One of the best bands in rock history period! Glad you loved it!
Hotel California is not about a hotel, but about the high speed Hollywood and LA lifestyle.
Don Henley. Excellent drummer and singer!
The "Hotel California", is the State of California.
Very interesting. Dig into it.
Keep up the great work, you two!
Kudos!
You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave.
Considered one of the greatest bands ever. They were all singer/songwriters, played multiple instruments. The dueling guitar solos are some of the most famous in history. The story is an allegory about the southern California music scene in the 70's, the music business and other negative factors that enter into it.
pure music ! watch the documentation documentary of them
This is the best song ever and ever and forever.
Watching your reaction to this amazing performance is really emotional. Thank you!"
The Eagles were great in concert. I saw them in the late 70s.
Aloha fam love you youngsters reactions this song came out right after I got discharge from the marine Vietnam era in 1975 and in 1976 this song came out best part about it is i driving from Los angles to San Francisco from LA to frisco is about 7hrs drive i was to be continued stay safe out there in the streets the street is my jungles peace ciaos
"Witchy Woman", "One of These Nights", and "Life in the Fast Lane". if you've ever head Night Ranger, and their breakthrough song "Sister Christian", the drummer is singing lead for that one as well.
