- "10.000 tons of steel, shed from a jet in 22.000 feet altitude -- the impacts should be comparable to M.A.N's new album!"
In this video you`ll get a little from the crazyness which makes this band something different. Obviously a MUST WATCH for each guitarist and metal fan out there.
Hi there folks. I´m Rob Guz.
After nine years in my drawer, it´s about bloody time: My full length solo album "Fragmentism" (2004) will be ["unlabaled"] released on Spotify, You-Tube, etc. (after some adjustments and preparations though) in spring of 2013. Stay alert ;) ,,,and hopefully enjoy,,,
Nothing but total respect for this guy.
I've never seen someone simultaneously bald _and_ with long hair.
Never seen Devin Townsend then, eh?
Liam R look at the guy from strapping young lag in their video for the song love
A genius, in my opinion. Robert is too modest to accept this compliment, I am sure!
2:14 Futuro Breed Machine!!!
i am so glad i stumbled across this video, it has really influenced me to try new things on guitar and other things, get cool sounds while still being metal as fuck instead of following what other bands are doing, thanks very much it had inspired me to create a song intirely on my own, guitars bass drums and vocals, all by me, my god i hope to wow my mates with what i now want to acheive and create
How is this guy not like ridiculously famous?
This dude killed me. So weird and outside the box.
I like the coin trick especially. Really simple, but really cool sounding.
This some one the most impressive multi string guitarists I've ever seen. The mask at the end takes the music you're doing at that part to a whole different level. Keep up the great work!
Wow Rob, you should be a gigantic band man!
But does it djent?
Reminds me so much of Fredik Thordendal's Special Defects...
OK... this guy is awesome.
He is amazing whatever you say
Well I say otherwise...
this man knows alot about music and instruments :)
hdebf
He has a solo album, it just needs to be released ! :)
This guy is AWESOME!
amazing!
I love that little "Hello" to Meshuggah …
@Mdaman13 Yeah unfortunately he left M.A.N after becoming a bit jaded with music as a whole. Didn't feel compelled to play anymore, which is a shame because he is mega talented. He is appearing on the new Icon In Me album though I believe.
His picking technique is masterful
I do enjoy his outlook with his music, I definitely look up to him in certain aspects.
I love how he uses his middle finger whenever he does pitch bending, XD
I'm wondering how the thing can still be intonated right with 11 indiviual strings and no fanned frets. And changing strings on that huge Floyd Rose has to be a pain....
Those guitars are fuckin' wicked & your shredding abilities are superb! 5*'s
The extended range on the lower strings probably helps.
The fingerboard setup is similar to some orchestral double basses.
Very impressive and inspirative stuff .. I love his sound on the second M.A.Ns album.
Insane, not only a sick guitar and note system but a good player
He's brilliant. He was doing a solo album but i think he gave up music, which is a real shame.
it was pretty cool. dude has talent, so...
it was you
"Gliese 581" sounds strikingly similar to "Zeta Reticuli". But Thordendal's influence is a good thing in my book, the guy's music can develop into something interesting.
You are the "MAN" Rob! |m|
awesome ,..................
sick ass hell
fucking incredible !!!!!!!!!!!!
Not really my kind of music, but awesome musicianship. That first art guitar is pretty kick ass, too.
Hey, I like this guy's enthusiasm!
Locking forward to hear your entire album! What are you doing musically these days, beside fixing your "old" album"? David, Uddevalla, Sweden
Kick ass!
Rob Guz needs to do a solo album. While I love M.A.N, it would be good to see what he can do without limits.
What a shame that I didn't know this guy till now.... What a monster
tremendo!! gran músico!!
Wow... That was fucking awesome! ^_^
I´ll do it myself. Shure, my legato techinque is from ≈ Holdsworth - and so my influneces of harmonies,,,,But also Bartok, Rachmaninov, Arvo Pärt,,,,and many more,,,,! I don´t "need" Thordendal and Holdsworth, just because there are some similaraties in techinque, sound etc. I want to use my one "vocie" - good or bad,,,,,
@jacosmith86 Are you looking at the bridge or the nut? Only the top 7 may have a locking nut, but it looks like all 11 strings are on the same floating trem

bode madsj
Hmm...? Check out the parts in the beginning and then from 1:40, are these chords you think?
I'm not as good as this guy, but I DO have a micro tonal guitar with 24 frets to the octave, and I have 4 videos on my channel that don't get enough views. thanks everybody.
Quiero una de esas violas!!!!!!!
I don´t think - for example - I would like to hear "For The Love Of Good" by "God" (if you know what I mean) to be improvised,,,,,No way; I want to hear the "essence" of Vai in that song.
,,,,,and that´s the point of my arranged solo; to show the essence of me, and to do that I don´t want to rip someone else work;
I call 2:15 "F****ng alarm clock in the morning"...
Lets see an 11 string sweep!!!
do u have any solo projects ? i want to listen to something different than M.A.N
@rediconoclast What kind of person says "friend- choke"?
I would love to play that guitar, the possibilities of that much range.. But it seems like the first few frets would be kind of inaccessible on the bottom strings due to the tuners being right there
...
.....
..

11 string.
You Awesome, love your work, Massive Respect. Hey check out a band from your neck of the woods from way back when. Try not to get too upset with the lyrics though. I heard these cats about 30 years ago, and as a drum worker, the sound and playing is 'FAT', check out Jerusalem-Warrior, track 'constantly changing', It may not be your cup of tea but, its still cool. Sometimes treasure is found in the most unlikely places. Massive Respect
Future Breed Machine! xD Love it!
Holy f****ng shit.... this guy is too much!
BTW anyone can tell me the tuning that he uses in peacenemy?
Seems to me it was great. Definetly sounded much better than your "song three demo"
Det her er sjukt grymmt
@dszq1
I'm guessing you missed the part where he said "Art Guitars"
@buttondiet And a third hand to keep all these strings quiet...
SUPER DJENT
How are tuned strings of your guitar, please?
at :28 it's like birds chirping
,,,Hey you "MegaHeartification"; please DO a harmony-, BPM-, sequence-, scale/s/-, harmony|structure- analysis of that Thordendal "piece", and then do a a comparative analysis(!) of my "Glieze"-piece (if you have the knowledge to to a professional one, and not just subjective one, by your receptive ear, and you´ll find that there are so separated pieces as much as one can ask for. Similar - shure! ,,,
@the77elcamino Guitar envy?
@Sodhats How so?
It looks like it's only for the first seven strings.....lol "first seven" this thing is so huge
really kl choice of notes
@tbeiber09
Massive Audio Nerve
Well, well ...
the nald man playing a tree!
he must be german. he's just so efficient
Sounds pretty much like all Fredrik Thordendal's solo stuff, but still good.
wow this guy is a real musician, music is all about expressing yourself and he does it by using different guitars or instruments
I didn´t know about this guy, he´s awesome
but I didn´t like the shape of some of his guitars, that make them lose their bauty
yeah but can you play a bar chord on it? 11 strings is ridiculous. 10 is plenty d: (I play stick) great chops man!
That's cool and all but to be honest, he only uses the deeper strings when playing chords. Not to say that it's not impressive but most of that "shredding" could be done on a 6 or 7 string. To shred all the way up and down the 11 total strings would have been more impressive than what really occurred.
I wanna be a luthier soooo bad
Wow, the 11-string has a floating tremolo. That must be a BITCH to set up, lol
and then we can do to get lllbodllllllll.
what does M.A.N. stand for?
Massive Audio Nerve
must weight a ton?
he must be german. he's just so eficient

If there will be a debate/discussion about music, and my music with me - I´m on it, I´m in(!) *belive me* - could it at least(!) be handled by dealing with facts(!), as it matters about the actual analysis(!) of the music,,,,and you others who don´t have that ablility - just squeeze your "pimples"-comments else where,,,,,
@Rambostylin ? Your insane....
If you don´t reply on this one, I figures that you out of YOUR "improvisations" of just empty words.
,,,Btw: my solo in the "Glieze"-piece is arranged, NOT improvised - so what?! Arranged solos parts just "works" as good as improvisations ones, then centuries.....
Sounds like a Steve Vai impersonator to me - not that that is a bad thing necessarily ...
@RollCarne Yea and Roots Bloody Roots is plagiarism of Sepultura
Hi, I`m Rob Guz! I´ve never care about to get into debate about my video, but some horse shit has come upp,,,,
@7REDDRACO7 Well choke friend :)
,,BUT different! (It´s like to compare Mozart and Haydn; they have similarities, but yet very different)... ,,, Write down your whole analysis in this "room" so everone can study it, and I´ll write down mine; I still got the "papers" on that piece. ,,,,,and tell me wHeRe the melody is "not his impriv..." *your words* ,,,,
That's satans guitar
Hahahahah, Let's go!
This guy is selling his art guitars on a swedish website, writing that hes giving up metal.
He doesn't have enough fingers to play chords on that. Hair = awful. But this is pretty cool. He's having fun. Nothing I would pay for...maybe his band is good. It looks like 11 strings to me. Without songs, I get very little from this.
Answer me, what's with the hair
i dont like the guitar but it sounds cool ;)
WTF.....IT LOOKS LIKE MACHINGUN
hahahahahahaha, u r funny ! :)
