- Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo leads his team on a game-winning touchdown drive late in the game and the defense stands tall in the final moments of a 24-20 win over the Detroit Lions.
That was the best Lions team i seen in my young year's.Never had a team come close.
My exact feeling with the cowboys
Do anybody had this full game

Stat-fford was a bum then is a bum now an I’m glad he want to be traded this is 1 of the best times in lion’s history getting rid of that stat chasing bastard
@@kingjohn6278 The Lions aren't the best franchise, your lucky to have a qb like him for so long.
2014 season was such a good season competitively, new and old faces in the playoffs that year.
ColtFPSGAMING Kind of the same this year
Too bad you’re retired now
lol
cowboys screwed lions
packers screwed cowboys
Seahawks screwed packers
pete caroll screwed seahawks
Vince Moscar true lions always get cheated
Kewaun Thomas The whole playoffs that year was Rigged lol
Right because that flag on the punter should have been called? Lol take 7 points away from Detroit, and the pass was at the defender and the offense of guy if you watch the other angle clearly pulled the defender more into him, so that could have been offensive pass interference as well. So no one screwed Lions.
Lol
Cowboys get a gift again
The stakes were astronomically high for both teams.
Cowboys and Lions fans were starving for a playoff win.
Kyran Black what about the cowgirls cheating us?
@@007ejgaming you guys get screwed all the time but you also kinda blew it yourselves. Got out scored 17-3 in the 2nd half,Fumbled and lost the ball twice and had 2:32 left to win the game. Not to mention the PI that wasn't called before it. We got karma the next week (so did green Bay after that) but still
@@jamaripino810Seahawks got karma after that too
Man this Lions team was so young and talented back then. That front office did a terrible job building on all that great young talent.
That's why Stafford finally got the f outta there and look what happened.

It’s so sad that this was the best team I’ve seen from the Lions in my 17 years of life.
I've been doing it for 43 years and that was the second best team they have had in my life. Which isn't saying much
You think that’s bad man, I’m a bills fan. They sucked my entire school career and didn’t make the playoffs until a year after I got my bachelors degree lol

@@TheVCRTimeMachinewhich was the best? 93?
Your team now is betree
lions got screwed and everyone with their head screwed the right way knows it. That Detroit front 7 was the most fun defense to watch during that season, and they got screwed like that.
+aretwo deetwo With an awful call like this makes me pissed off at all those Cowgirl fans who were pissed off at that dez bryant catch, which wasn't even a catch. It was the right call, but it's a stupid rule (Calvin Johnson Rule)
+aretwo deetwo Lions fans still can't accept that the penalty didn't change the outcome of the game.
Deal with the fact that the Lions aren't a good team lol.
+aretwo deetwo the Lions got away with quite a few key penalties and still lost the game.
Cry some more about how your team got outplayed please.
+Shaun Kipp if we would've got that penalty we could've had a scoring drive and there should've been a penalty on dez for running on to the field.. so really the outcome would have been different
+aretwo deetwo I kind of agree they screwed on that one call bad, but you can't deny the offense, especially the line, failed to get the job done when it counted most in the fourth quarter. They had more opportunities than they did in some of their other close games, and plain failed to get it done. It was fucking heartbreaking.
This year they have a new OL, RB, and should still be a top 10 defense with all the pieces they kept. Suh was important on the pass rush, and some of what they lose from that they should gain in run stuffing from Ngata, and Ansah has shown he can beat a good T and should still be developing. I don't know why people think Fairly would be missed, he usually only showed up on goal line plays and the occasional 3rd down, plus he injured his knee for half the season.
The struggle of being a lion
I know right
You're telling me
Nick Patteri it still hurts
*FUGGEM*
To sum up the postseason:
Detroit got screwed by Dallas.
Dallas got screwed by Green Bay.
Green Bay screwed themselves against Seattle.
New England screwed Indianapolis.
Seattle screwed themselves in the Super Bowl.
New England got screwed in the offseason.
According to the transitive property, the Lions got screwed by the Patriots
@12BJJohnson the pass interference call that wasn't called against the damn Dallas Cowboys defensive back you moron.

That no-call was bs. As a Cowboys fan, or just football fan in general, anyone can see that. We didn't deserve this win, but we took it and paid for it later. I've only cried watching football one time in my life, and that was the overturned catch against Green Bay. Hell of a season, that's for sure. We're due for another electric season like '14-'15! DC4L 💙
By rule it was pi. But the rule is stupid. If I block the receivers path to the ball, then that’s good defense.
@@colepriceguitar1153 lmao if you hug me to stop me from a catching a pass that's not good defense, that's PI
@@KillasStayFly That's not what I'm talking about
@@colepriceguitar1153 'If I block the receivers path to the ball, then that’s good defense.' what?????? So corners should just stand back a few yards and run into the receivers and put them in the ground every play? The rule makes perfect sense and that play was the exact reason the rule should be in place but they picked up the flag for no reason
@@doughy_ That running into the punter penalty saved a Lions touchdown drive that they didn't deserve because the defender stopped and didn't affect the punt whatsoever. Take away 7 and the Lions' final score would have been the same if they got a touchdown on the pass interference drive. And if they only got a field goal, then the Cowboys would have won 24-16.
7:38 a legend was born that day...learning from his mistakes like a champ
facts lol imagine if he wouldnt have gotten that second strip sacks fumble
What legend?
looking back on this, it's 1 billion times more ridiculous that Dez was allowed to sprint 10 yards onto the field with no helmat than it was that they picked up that flag after moving the chains and setting the ball down.
That pass interference picked up was so unfair
As well as a lot of other no calls against he Cowboys. Multiple contacts on fair catches. Plus a 3rd down in which Dez was pushed to the ground because he was beat, but no call on that. The result was a Romo sack (in the video) and a missed FG. It should have been 1st and goal at the 5.

Suh was getting held all game and that Hitchens no pi was diabolical. What a screw job we would’ve beat Green Bay too, maybe the Seahawks. Could’ve been a magical season for us but that’s just how it goes. T Will did play a hell of a game
Y’all let them come back after a 13 point lead lol
years later and this game still bothers me.... they talk about Stafford being unable to win the 3 playoff games he was in....This game was never really a loss to me... it was a win the lions were cheated out of.... that was PI... that is why they through the flag.... Hot headed Dez walking onto the field without a helmet... wow.... didn't get called for that? This past season Amendola ran onto the field after a TD that along with the kick would win the game for the Lions... He ran out there not in anger but in celebration...he was called for that, and they tacked on yards for Prater's kick, But the lions got nothing for Dez's walk out onto the field in anger without his helmet.... No the... IMO the Lions won that game.... But the powers that be did not want them too. Cowboys were the favorite and they were given that game. The NFL sent an apology letter to the Lions organization.... what good is that?
They hated us and always will. Were a poverty franchise that the refs always seem to make up new rules on the go. Im excited for this next regime and have full faith in Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell
Cry some more 🤣, pathetic lions fans

Mcvay will be gone from the lambs in 2 yrs, he traded a young QB with playoff experience for a washed up injury prone proven loser Stafford.
Go Hawks 💙💚
@@Z2Z9 SB champion Russell > ringless washed up injury prone proven loser Stafford
@@demonking4883 LOL, you can bag on the organization all you want, but there is no fanbase that has been tested more and is still as dedicated as Lions fans. The only thing close are Cubs fans, but even there, before their World Series win, a big portion of the Cubs fanbase embraced the "loveable losers" mentality and/or just enjoyed summer days outdoors at Wrigley. Lions fans actively root for their team to be competitive despite not being rewarded in decades.
And despite the Red Wings, Pistons, Tigers, Michigan football and basketball, and Michigan State football and basketball all enjoying some degree of success ranging from "decent stretches" to "dynasties" over the past few decades, the Lions have remained THE most popular team in Detroit/Michigan. Anyone attacking Lions fans is basically admitting they've just started following football or otherwise have no real grasp on its history.
NFC playoff games were a sham the whole time. Whatever, refs had to cover spreads in Vegas. Smh
I’m convinced this is the worst Lions loss in team history. This was the year. This was the team. And Matt Stafford blew it. No offense for almost 3 full quarters. The refs didn’t help, and neither did Sam Martin, but damn man. This was the team to do it.
Awesome game. How can you not root for Detroit though, jags till the death but I do hope this current team gets a ring soon
And here we are brother 😢 haha I will always support the fellow cat brothers

Could u imagine Calvin on our team we have now? We would crush everyone
Lmao “Jason Garret’s nervously chewing gum”
What's crazy is there was still 8 minutes left in this game and the lions were already up.
Play some defense and then seal it.
With the cowboys situation the following week against the packers is they were down with time running out, Dez caught the ball and was down at the 1 with 4 minutes left..
They could've ran that down to about 2:30 left and got the TD and then shut down the packers O and seal it.
It's not the same thing at all
Chris E so i assume you dont know much about that game or the packers offense?
erric bishup your assumptions are unintelligible
Chris E really? because that dez catch wasent a catch and if it was the packers could have maybe held the cowboys. the packers also could have scored easily with 2:30 left in the game.
erric bishup lol you assume the Packers would have scored... you are funny
Vicente Mata yeah they could have scored on the last drive
6:45 ziggy gets held
Got held a few times that game. Suh got held & tackled probably 10+ times that game but refs refused to call a penalty in favor of the lions.
if they had 2016 matthew stafford he could've matched down the field and won on the final drive like we have 100 times this season.
Lions should've won this game.
The refs were nice weren't they?
Tyler Fioritto Why does the NFL hate the Lions? I don't understand.
What about the bullshit about running into the kicker?
Snickers Chocolate Bar That wasn't really a good call, but it was one that had to be made; the guy did hit the punter even though it was kind of a consequence of him falling down trying to block the kick.
***** No it wouldn't of mattered, it's just kind of funny that the Lions always seem to get screwed over...and I hate the Cowboys so I never like watching them win.
Anyone watching this after stafford won the superbowl?
Would of liked to see stafford win this
dylan atkins me too
I don't see how even Cowboys fans are saying the Lions got screwed. Watch the back judge camera angle of the Pettigrew/Hitchens play. Pettigrew was grabbing the facemask of Hitchens during the entire play, he let go as Hitchens was swipping Pettigrews arm off, and at that exact same moment is when the ball hit Hitchens in the back. It should have been 2 offsetting penaties *if anything* but a good no call in the end.
Let's not forget Detroit had 2 other chances to win, and Stafford fumbled both away.
Here's a video link to the back camera angle of that play:

back when we had a competitive coach and a real defense
Now 3 years later they clinched there division and are 11 and 4 rn
I miss those Cowboys so much 🥺😔💙💙💙
Ive seen Romo get hit late(that was also a low hit)so many times throughout his career like at 6:45 yet he never complained about a flag nor did he ever get that call, in his favor, Im not even being biased but he got hit late so much more than any other QB ive ever seen, IMO that also contributed to the toll it took on his body that led to injuries.
True. Definitely should have been a roughing the passer and Romo took a bunch of unnecessary hits throughout his career
There was always a good chance for a win with Tony Romo at quarterback
As a lions fan I'll always remember how we got robbed
Probably Romo's last great moment, so proud to say I was at this game!

@@mikethomas5231 bruh shut up
lmao. stafford got a second chance on that final drive and he blew it again. That's what lost them the game.
No one ever wants to bring up the fact that Detroit got 2 chances to score after that call... This game was not decided by that call, it was a difference maker but not a game ender. No matter what,Detroit was guaranteed the ball back because Dallas was down by 3 points, so when they scored, Detroit had an opportunity to go down the field and win the game. The Green Bay call decided the game, Dallas is down by 5, and Green Bay can just run the clock out and Dallas is not guaranteed a chance to go down the field and score.
Detroit had a chance to score anyway at the end
My favorite Dallas Cowboys team I’ve ever watched
Looking back now it don't even look like pass interference on hitchens on that third down play.
Yeah I honestly don't see it
slight touch on the shoulder doesnt seem like interference
yea but he did not go after the ball one bit, he had his back completely turned away from the ball and initiated a contact on the shoulder before the ball got to the receiver, that was a textbook PI
Daumantas Žukauskas Okay
Daumantas Žukauskas Guess you also missed the receiver committing the FACEMASK penalty. Should have been offsetting if anything.
Tony Romo just referenced this game on the broadcast so I had to come and check it out.

Braeden Dunn By the way, that wasn't the right call. The lions got screwed over by the refs, Dallas deserved to lose the next week.
What do I have to be salty about??? We won the game. Find another insult that makes sense.
Plus how did we "deserve" to lose the game when all those penalties in the first half allowed Detroit to sustain all their drives? So your saying one non PI call with 8 minutes to go when they were up was the game? Maybe it was their 10 yard punt and Stafford fumbling TWICE on their last drive. Watch the game before you talk crap about a team.
and the cowboys complain about the refs vs the packers smh

I miss this form of highlights being posted to the NFL RUclips channel
That non-flag was not a game changer. A Delay of Game penalty, followed by a ten yard punt, followed by a fumble, followed by another fumble. Those were the game changers. The Lions were ahead when that non-flag happened.

This game was classic Stafford never wins big games and can never put the points up this season he had the number 1 defense and elite receivers and still couldn’t win
Agreed but the only thing is that it really doesn’t seem like it’s his fault, this lions team played well right up until it was time to win the game Stafford had no time to throw the ball. Only thing I will say was his fault is him holding on to the ball instead of throwing it away when nothing was there
As a cowboys fan that's 15 I've seen romo along time this is my favorite moment and there will be more with tony romo ok
the cowboys should go 4-12 and win their division this year, and detroit will go 9-7 and make the playoffs. In the wild card game this year the lions win 35-28 because kobe bryant causes a fumble and it gets recovered by messi who then scores a goal. then the defenseman misses the shot so the cowgurls get it back but then it gets stolen by tebow and he dribbles it back and scores a goal.
the lions record is already wrong because they are losing to the Packers twice

If Calvin Johnson didn't retire, the Lions would have a ring.
After Dan Bailey missed that field goal in the 3rd qtr after being good all year.... I thought a complete choke was about to happen again just like with the vikings in 2010 , props to Tony for fighting back in this game.
Imagine if demarco murray didn’t have that injury to his battle arm. I genuinely feel the Cowboys would’ve won the super bowl if Murray was legit 100 percent back in 2014
Well the lions still blew that lead. It’s not just the cowboys screwing them up. A 2 possession lead in the playoffs.
The lions could have pulled that win out man we had a good chance to make Ito make it all the way
Detroit just blew it. Period.
Why does everyone assume that the picked up flag determined the outcome of the game? Ya it took away a first down, but there were 8 minutes left!!! The Lions defense (apparently 2nd in the league at the time) had a chance to win the game by containing the Cowboy's offense but they failed to do so. And even after the defense failed them, the offense had over 2 minutes, plenty of time, to score a TD, but they fumbled the ball not once but twice!!!
So the lions defense, the Lions inability to move the ball on offense, and the poor effort at holding onto the ball played as much of a part to the loss to the lions as 1 (freaking 1!!!) lost first down.
Holden Hill A 10 point lead with say 3-6 minuets left, is a lot harder to come back from, unless you win an onside kick
That Y-Option tho 😯🔥
Lions deserved that possibly game clinching face guarding / PI call unbelievable that if they had won this game Calvin probably wouldn't have been forced into retirement
I'm a cowboys fan and the lions should've won this game. That was a ridiculous call

yes and if you are a lions fan then you remember last season when the Lions got a TD at the end of the game and that with the kick would give the Lions the win.... Amendola ran out be to congratulate with no helmet.... FLAG!!!!!!! so as penalty they tacked yards onto Praters kick....But I am not quite sure if Prater had already kicked and there was still a few seconds left in the game and Amendola came out there with no helmet.... so Prater had to kick again from farther away... or if it was after the TD... either way there was a penalty and it was at least 10 yards... but Dez as pissed and ran out there.... and NOTHING
I love my cowboys, but my god WE made sooooooo many mistakes in this game. We were beyond lucky to had won this.

I know the lions got screwed and all with that picked up flag. I was livid about that. But what pissed me off even more, is when Sam Martin punted 10 yards. How is that possible?
What pissed me off even more is Caldwell not going for it on 4th and 1
