This was the season Romo should’ve won MVP. Very clutch. Went undefeated on the road. Led the league in QBR, completion percentage, passer rating and yards per attempt. Hell of a season!
Everyone out here talking about Romo, I am more impressed by Dez making fantastic adjustments to the ball and Murray having the lanes and elusiveness to be phenomenal.
Dez has the skill to make adjustments, Romos accuracy threw it in spots to use Dez's skill when covered. Dez faded off though because after Romo he didn't have a qb that can do that.
@@thecensoredmuscle563 Man that is some mental gymnastics. Dez faded, not because he was getting older and his style of physical route running and strength at catch point was deteriorating quickly, no it was because the quarterback play lessened… 😬 That’s why as soon as he was released he was super dominant on another team. Right-injury. Well I’m sure he was really good when he got healthy on the ravens (he was not). Too bad he didn’t have former MVPs on both of the rosters he joined.
@@skillswiper you obviously do not know how to use the phrase "mental gymnastics". What I stated was objectively accurate, film proves it 100%, the eyes are useful thing when you use them. But yeah okay, the young 28 year old randomly lost his athletic ability (because that totally happens lol), and it just happened to be at the exact time that a very high school level throwing skill qb (even to this day remains as such but thinks to rules and every receiver single covered unlike Dez, he can inflate stats with high throws) started to start. Even if you didn't watch the games (which you obviously didn't), you still should have logically concluded that the qb was the problem, not the 28 year old all pro receiver haha. Dez was a strong receiver, throw it in his area and he will outmuscle the db. Terrence Williams was a deep threat. Both of these receivers require a qb to have a throwing level of at least d1 college capabilities. Prescott doesn't have that and so they both turned into nothing instantly that Prescott got their. That's also why cowboys now have a stacked receiving core of guys that fit better for elementary passes. As for what happened to Dez after. I mean he tore like achilles or something close to it, then didn't come back until what? 2020 or 2019. By then he was in his 30s and effected from a very detrimental injuries.
People really fucking sleep on how goddamn good Tony Romo was when healthy. They were a shit call against Dez Bryant away from an NFC title game in 2014 and I'm a Patriots fan
Let up a blocked punt for 7 points, a muffed punt return for another 7 points, and a bad snap giving 3 points away and they win 30-23. Back when the cowboys had a QB that did not need everything to go perfectly to win games.

Yes this was a good team. They out matched this really good Seahawk team. If this Cowboy team played with this speed and confidence they would of gone far. Dang this was a good team, you could tell the Seahawks knew they were straight up beat.
The cowboys should’ve rematches them in the championship game
3:17 I'm waiting for Dak to start doing stuff like this. Misdirection at it's best. Great defensive play tho
8:13 is the reason Cliff Avril hit Romo high and injured Romo in the 2016 preseason...he will never forget how Romo broke his ankles.
Thegangsta00711 that wasn’t Avril
@Jim Johnson I guess that run against Seattle in the Wild Card Round a couple of years ago is a joke to you?
Im Plands I think that’s Bruce Irving actually lol
When we finally got Romo a o- line , it was magic
I miss this cowboys offense just imagine 2014 cowboys offense and 2018 cowboys defense together, that equals a guaranteed Superbowl appearances
This is why Jerry Jones was so quick to give Romo his big contract vs Dak Prescott with Romo you felt like you had a chance to win the championship with Dak you just be happy if you make it to the playoffs
What did Romo win us Dak has been more successful in his early years than Romo. I love Romo but he didn’t win us anything
So what he got you closer than ever the only thing romo was missing was his clutch gene that's all but he still was closer than dak and better period bruh
One no catch call away from a rematch in the NFC title game. Damn that was our best chance
The packers went right down the field after that anyways. Worst case scenario they were down 29-26 and had gotten deep into Dallas territory. Probably would have scored a TD on that drive had they been trailing.
9:04 will never forget that TD and the way the broadcaster said "Touchdown Dallas!" Dont know why that one always stuck with me.
When we went down 10-0 it could've got ugly but that boy Romo was a hell of a leader
Man Rolando Mcclain was a great pick up for Dallas.
Man when they won this game I actually started to believe in them… first time
I ever thought they could have won it all… this team had a bunch of dogs!
This game was huge. We were never seen as the old 8-8 cowboys again
Rolando McClain was such a beast for us that year!!
Man that was my favorite linebacker those years, that dude was an animal
Romo magic baby! He had a great o line and solid stable of running backs on this team. And Yes Dez caught that ball!
4:49 that would've been a penalty today
Man that Dallas team that year was legit
Years later Dak is not capability of beating teams with defenses like these despite have better teams than Romo
Man that o line on them cowboys is ridiculous
This team had the talent to win the Superbowl that year.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That’s dez catch at Green Bay cost them 🤦🏾♂️
Max Moreno but they didn’t
Conor O'Reilly but they did fag if it wasn’t a catch wouldn’t be any rule change today
west coast flava Only reason Rodgers marched down the field after that is because of the lost momentum after the failed 4th down due to the bad call. Rodgers is a fuckhead, I dont care how good he is, I would never want that dude as my QB.
Pre injury Dan Bailey is truly one of the kicking goats. Dude was absolutely automatic no matter the distance, direction, or hash.
Keep in mind this was BEFORE Zeke, when they still had DeMarco
Man I haven’t heard some of these names in a while... really took me back
RIP Escobar
As a hawks fan this game pissed me off. Cowboys o line just controlled the game
Man if only DeMarco didn’t have the case of the fumbles in the game against the Packers.
This was the season Romo should’ve won MVP. Very clutch. Went undefeated on the road. Led the league in QBR, completion percentage, passer rating and yards per attempt. Hell of a season!
Legion of Whom?
They all gone :(
Still one of the greatest secondarys to ever play the game
Including all three levels of the D, only Bobby Wagner remains
@@alonalkalai9505 can't forget K.J. Wright as well
Everyone out here talking about Romo, I am more impressed by Dez making fantastic adjustments to the ball and Murray having the lanes and elusiveness to be phenomenal.
Dez has the skill to make adjustments, Romos accuracy threw it in spots to use Dez's skill when covered. Dez faded off though because after Romo he didn't have a qb that can do that.
@@thecensoredmuscle563 Man that is some mental gymnastics. Dez faded, not because he was getting older and his style of physical route running and strength at catch point was deteriorating quickly, no it was because the quarterback play lessened… 😬
That’s why as soon as he was released he was super dominant on another team.
As a packers fan romo is one of the most underrated quarterbacks of all time
People really fucking sleep on how goddamn good Tony Romo was when healthy. They were a shit call against Dez Bryant away from an NFC title game in 2014 and I'm a Patriots fan
I am not here to bash Dak but I miss Tony Romo. I am still sick about how it all turned out. I believe we win those playoff games we lost with Dak.
You are so correct. Dallas can not beat a winning team with Dak as the QB.
Dallas has always had talent. BIG thing is COACHING.
I didn't realize back then how fast Dunbar was..dude was quick n reliable. Wasn't a good fit for Dak tho. Romo got the quick thinking reflex
4 years later.... cowboys lose to the Seahawks another year 2019 wild card season Seattle loses
Let up a blocked punt for 7 points, a muffed punt return for another 7 points, and a bad snap giving 3 points away and they win 30-23. Back when the cowboys had a QB that did not need everything to go perfectly to win games.
This is when Terrance Williams was actually something lol
He had Tony Romo throwing him the ball
That pass at 8:18 is top 5 I've ever seen in my Life & I've watched alot of football so far
Watching this while Zeke holding out 🤦🏽♂️
Romo my fucking Quarterback, I don't care who the fuck it is. Is he the greatest Dallas QB? No, but he's my favorite. I grew up watching this man come from nothing. What a great story to watch this kid from Eastern Illinois be a true stud. Carry an entire inept franchise by the chin strap on his helmet.
