Yes, they definitely did blow it, that was 5 years ago and i'm still heartbroken over them not playing the Patriots in the Super Bowl that year, the Packers had it won, they gave the game away.

I think I speak for all Packer fans when I say this game still hurts til this day. Most sickening, yet, still heartbreaking loss I've ever experienced.
As a Packers fan, this was one of the best games I have ever seen. It was a crushing and heartbreaking loss but it was so hard to hate this game because the Seahawks held on for so long and it serves as a prime example of the phrases "It ain't over til its over" and "never give up". A lot of the men on that field are men of God and they kept believing that they still had a chance, even Russell Wilson, who threw two "hail mary" passes, on top of the packers unfortunate mistakes, and you could see how grateful he was by the end the game at the post game interview when he was crying. Idk why but I found it hard to hate this game
@@aresbishop5636 Yes, it aged very well. Russ went 12-4 with arguably one of the worst defenses and offenses in the NFL. He carried the entire team on his back.

I'm so glad to see a fan who is respectful in defeat. Most fans are so damn bitter, like, even though I hate Tom Brady, I still think the Patriots played a better game than us in SB 49, but if you ask the average Vikings fan, for example, about Seattle they'd probably just say the Hawks are lucky.
Please note, I am a Packer fan saying this. Biggest mistake in the game wasn't the onside kick screw up, because anyone in that situation will tell you if they have a chance to catch the ball, they'd go for it, Bostick was just unlucky. The biggest mistake was after Wilson threw his 4th INT, Burnett slid down instead of run as much as he can. He likely could have gotten deep into Seattle territory or even the end zone. That was the point where they screwed up.
Hit the nail right in the head. That's when everything went downhill. I think Green bay thought the game was over at that point. Even I said it was over after that. Green bays defense already had that "we won" mentality. The seahawks just got them off guard. Green bay got hit so hard so fast they didn't know what happen. They were shocked just like everyone that was watching the game.
Justin Hu Did you look at Wilson's stats prior to the crazy ending? Not so good either. This was a defensive game, both defenses did great, GB in the first half, Seattle in the 2nd half.
Lmao I probably wasn't paying attention to the rest of the plays but at 4:00 did you see Greenbay's pass rush? For goodness' sake Wilson had time to call his daughter and talk about her school, then call and wish his mama a happy birthday, and have his late afternoon coffee before he threw the pass.
The way the Hawks won this game was so incredible and improbable that it took a lot of the sting out of the Super Bowl loss. This is my favorite Seahawk game ever, and that includes winning the Super Bowl the previous year.
As a Hawks fan since 03 that was one of the greatest things I've ever witnessed as a sports fan. The Super Bowl to have my heart literally ripped out of my chest I wouldn't wish on any other team's fan base other than the Cowboys
Im not a seahawk fan but yeah that must have been a gut wrenching Super Bowl. They just had to get 1 yard in 3 plays. That being said the NFC title win vs Green Bay must've truly been epic
purpleking15 I've slowly stopped hating the steelers from 05 because what happened wasn't their fault it was the refs but the patriots i have always and will always hate those cheaters.
Honestly its baffling how Green Bay lost this game. Squandered 14 quick points (well 8, they got 6) and just about every crucial opportunity to make it a blowout or just edge away. Credit to the Hawks for keeping up the fight but still this was kind of a choke for Rogers.
Only 4... I really wish they scored interceptions as QB fault or receiver fault. Two of those could not have been more the fault of Kearse. Perfect ball placement, hit Kearse right in the hands, and popped straight up because he couldn't catch them.

Any amateur touch football player could tell you rain helps defences. Ask Tom what it's like playing IN Seattle lol. The special teams mistake honestly costed them the game...
+Jawad Raza packers had more than enough opportunities to score more than 1 TD. The rest were field goals because they coudln't get pass 1 single yard. That came back to bite them.
As much as I respect that Seattle team of that time. I really wanted to see Rodgers vs Brady more it’s the super bowl we all wanted but probably will never get. But this will always be one the greatest games I’ve ever watched!
Nobody talks about it but Rodgers had a bad game. I mean he had great field position most of the game and can only get 1TD and the rest were field goals, 3 and outs, plus 2 interceptions.
The Seahawks defense gets a little credit for that, but I think the weather was the biggest factor. Both QB's accuracy was worse than you could normally expect from them; and they weren't getting enough behind those long throws until the weather cleared up, resulting in some underthrown bombs.
Not to mention McCarthy was so conservative all day, kicking two field goals on 4th and inches. Winning a championship takes balls in my opinion, and they didn't show it
Jonny B It didn't seem to affect him against Dallas. There was only about one play all game where it looked to affect him, the play he scrambled for a few yards. He had a wide open field and if he was fully healthy, he could've picked up 15 to 20 yards easy. Nope, just look at his history, Aaron Rodgers in his last three games against Seattle has been pretty shitty. But then again, so have Peyton Manning and Drew Brees. The only one who somewhat knows Seattle's kryptonite is Tom Brady. And that kryptonite is basically dump off passes....nothing but check downs and dump off passes. Not to mention in both of Tom Brady's games against Seattle, he has two interceptions in each. In fact, Brady had the second worst Yards Per Attempt of a Super Bowl QB in the game's history.
Best game I’ve ever seen. Loved watching Russell’s passion and love for the game. He had four picks but it didn’t effect him, loved this game. Oh and as a Vikings fan, it wasn’t that bad to see Green Bay lose like that😂
I been watching the NFL for 40 years and I would say it's the craziest game I ever seen --- and I even watched the Bills-Oilers game in '92 that is still ranked as the greatest comeback in NFL history --- but that was more about the Oilers having a steady meltdown after building a huge lead --- the idea that Wilson threw four picks and still won that NFCC is just mind-blowing
@Jaime Serna nah if the idiot who intercepted the ball ran it back.furthetthey get better field position or a Fg. Then again the packers stink for losing a game where seattle turned it over 4x and they lost
This was the greatest game I've ever witnessed on live TV. Seahawks fans leaving early, Hawks comeback in OT, and Russ in tears at the end was priceless.
Fascinating how, after having watched this game live on TV back then and dozens of times over since then, one can discover new storylines in it. Not only that all the game changing action happened within the last four minutes of the game and the desperate trick play attempts that happened to work out, and Jermaine Kearse scoring the winning TD after having caused four INTs. Also, we have two Canadians scoring, making it the "most Canadian" NFL game ever. Then there is Luke Wilson (one of the two Canadians) becoming the unsung hero by, while not scoring a TD, but probably the most decisive 1st Down of the game and an even more important 2-pt-conversion after, and Chris Matthews, despite having a not-so-great career as a receiver, will always be remembered by 'Hawks fans for catching the Onside Kick that brought Seattle back in the game.
Still can’t believe the Packers blew a 16 point lead. I still cry about this game, this was Rodgers’s last best chance (as of 2018) to win a Super Bowl
I know how you feel man, i'm still heartbroken over it too. I can't believe they blew it either, it should've been Packers vs. Patriots in the Super Bowl, not the Seahawks.
This game was INSANE. This was the week after the Dez catch and just about EVERYBODY in Dallas was rooting against the Packers. I loved sipping on those salty Packer tears😂
As a die hard Hawks fan, this game is bittersweet to watch. We all know the outcome of the SB. This season, the Hawks are looking better than even in 2014. I love Sherm and their chances to do some serious damage this year. This game is crazy!
People said fans left this game early, yet not a single empty seat can be seen in any angle. People watch the game from outside the stadium all the time. Theres big screens to watch the game on from the street. Just people trying to make Seahawks fans look bad by assuming something from a single picture with no context. Show me a picture of streaming fans walking out of the stadium and you might have an argument.
I was there, I saw Hawk fans leaving here and there not a lot. I remember because I was booing them on their way out as I was asking why they were leaving and that the games not over.
S-MSniper Yep. Me,too. Jerramy Stevens was the only scrub who caught a td pass from Hasselbeck. You also have to throw in Hasselbeck’s infamous call in ot at Lambeau with 'We want the ball and we're going to score' and vs Marc Bulger and the Rams when Jerramy Stevens dropped a catchable from Hasselbeck in the endzone back in January of '05. I remember watching Hasselbeck throwing a fit after Stevens dropped that pass in the endzone. You,see? We had two post-season losses before Superbowl XL since overtaking 'The greatest show on turf' in '03. One year after Seattle's emergence in '02.
I'll always remember this game, not even a fan of either team

Green Bay BANDWAGONER! Any real packer fan would be devastated!
admit it, you're mesmerized and in love with the Hawks I don't blame you though.
As much as I respect that Seattle team of that time. I really wanted to see Rodgers vs Brady more it’s the super bowl we all wanted but probably will never get. But this will always be one the greatest games I’ve ever watched!
This was the closest we were to a Brady vs Rodgers Super Bowl
One of the best games ever and greatest nfc championship game
Man, the Packers have bad luck with NFC West teams in the playoffs.
+1990Thunderbolt Throw in 2009 for the Cardinals too.
gorrow1990 yep
+gorrow1990 2009: Cardinals 2010: East coast, south, midwest, east coast. 2011: East coast
True
ikr
This video is so good I’m still watching it to this day
This game still gives me chills! 🤣 I cried like an absolute baby after we won. Much credit to the packers, one of the best teams in the league!
Still brings tears to my eyes. Watched this one in a packed bar/restaurant. SO EXCITING.
Leo Atrox
Wilson was underperforming so that makes up for any handicaps Rodgers may have had. Wilson doesn't normally have those kind of bad games.
gideondavid30 as c CD ff
I love how everyone focuses on Wilson's mistakes and interceptions yet blatantly ignore Rodgers'. Okay.
+Brenden Nichols He was limping the whole game... what do you expect from him? Packers should have gone to the Superbowl, no doubt about it.
Well, they didn't. It doesn't matter if they "should have", because they ultimately lost this game, ending their season.
I agree, a win is a win. But I just want to emphasize that Green Bay has lots of potential as a team, especially with Rodgers in good condition
Fair enough. I do admit that the Seahawks were incredibly fortunate that they managed to advance despite the abundance of mistakes committed.
Well said
Packers blew a 3-1 lead
Jesus Christ It's Jason bourne as a packer fan I agree stupid defense
@The Legend 23 HAHAHA
Carson Wentz more like 16-0 lead at the half but nonetheless very funny
19 to 7 .. 3 min left and the Packers collapsed ! .. loved it !!
@Lorenzo Perez and you liked your own comment on a 3 year old thread 😂😂
A sentence that breaks the heart of every seahawks fan. "shoulve ran it"
greatest NFC championship game hands down...one of the greatest games ever played also
Best game I’ve ever seen. Loved watching Russell’s passion and love for the game. He had four picks but it didn’t effect him, loved this game. Oh and as a Vikings fan, it wasn’t that bad to see Green Bay lose like that😂
i'm from GB and was there. it was an incredible final 2 minutes
I remember watching this live and it was insane.
It was the type of game you tell your kids you saw lol. There was no way in hell Seattle was suppose to win that game.
One of the best games I've ever seen
This was perhaps the best playoff game in NFL history. There will never be another like it.
Super bowl 52, Seahawks vs 49ers 2013 nfc championship, super bowl 49, etc
pats vs cheifs afc championship was much better than this tbh
@@ritzcrackerz1258 I still think this game was better.
i think you are wrong now
Divisional 2022 bills chiefs
If Wilson doesn't make that 2 point conversion, the Packers were in the Super Bowl
@Jaime Serna nah if the idiot who intercepted the ball ran it back.furthetthey get better field position or a Fg. Then again the packers stink for losing a game where seattle turned it over 4x and they lost
I love looking back at this as a hawks fan just love watching it every time
This was the greatest game I've ever witnessed on live TV. Seahawks fans leaving early, Hawks comeback in OT, and Russ in tears at the end was priceless.
lmaooo i remember seeing a lot of snapchat stories of people trying to get back win when the hawks were coming back
Thank you NFL and RUclips for working out this deal!
Easily one of the best games of Football I've ever seen
One of the best games with best commentary....always come back to this
best game ove ever watched (im a steeler fan)
Same here #steelernation
PACKERS! YOU BLEW IT! YOU HAD IT ALL AND YOU BLEW IT!
Same with the panthers lol
lol the panthers did blow it!
roasted
You can say they blew it, but in truth the coaches threw it.
Colby you think losing the the deadskins is godly🤣🤣
This game was so inspiring
7:32 Marshawn Lynch rejected Lockette's Hug... R.I.P😥😣😔
Patriots in the Super Bowl, not the Seahawks.
maybe the closest we've ever been to a Brady vs Rodgers Super Bowl.
This game was INSANE. This was the week after the Dez catch and just about EVERYBODY in Dallas was rooting against the Packers. I loved sipping on those salty Packer tears😂
I was 13 years old man and I almost cried this day man I couldn’t hold myself together as packer fan watching this game it’s still leaves mark on me
Who else is watching this because of the rematch coming up on sunday?
one of the weirdest and craziest games i've ever seen
@@yahboihammy6897 this one or the rematch game?
man the divisional round game was pretty good, the seahawks almost made a comeback at lambeau field
With 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter I bet my friend that Seattle would win this game
As a die hard Hawks fan, this game is bittersweet to watch. We all know the outcome of the SB. This season, the Hawks are looking better than even in 2014. I love Sherm and their chances to do some serious damage this year. This game is crazy!
Hopefully Russ can get his legs healthy and back in working order.
An Arizona win would be huge
Heeewweee
Russ is back! Go Hawks.
Stephen Deac Cheering for you guys hard against the freakin Cowboys though.
Years later l still love it as a viking fan!!
it’s good to know the outcome of this game *4 years later* thanks recommended
How are you still afraid to throw at a receiver covered by a one-armed Richard Sherman?
Rodgers didt know he was injured
monotonesarcasm probably because sherman could still swat or do tip drill with earl
monotonesarcasm
Cause McCarthy is a pussy and wouldn't let Rodgers throw.
xsilverhitter So he thought that Sherman holding his arm to his stomach was normal hand positioning for a cornerback?
Sherman was injured, McCarthy should of stopped being a pussy and threw his side.
3:48 Russ: “The score is only 16-0”
Never a doubt with Russ.
Lil Chromosome Got Owned By AZ and LA
joel rodriguez missing half your O line will do that you lol
I'll never get tired of this, watching this game in person was so surreal.
Dear cheeseheads, this is what it's like to be a Vikings fan.
It must really suck then.
Packers-Vikings games are never this close.
Alex Warren they can and can't be.
You didn't understand that I'm saying this is what happens to us every time in the NFC championship.
I thought Brett Favre just threw interceptions to lose NFC Championship games.
Was a great 2009 NFC championship and what a kick by Hartley. I had to close my eyes but yup he made it. WHO DAT
Words cannot describe how much I was crying after this game
One of my favourite games in history, I can only imagine the heart ache this gave packers fans !! Go Hawks
Probably one of the most heart wrenching games I've watched. Along with Super Bowl 49 and Super Bowl 40 (mainly due to the officiating)
Marc Amico Reliving some of these moments makes me sick, ESPECIALLY Super Bowl 40. God that call by Hasslebeck...
greatest game ive ever watched
serious 2 months i awoke from a coma it's my birthday best birthday in my life what a 50th birthday unforgetable go hawks
One of if not the best game this long time NFL fan has ever seen. Still get goosebumps watching it today.
