As a Pats fan, both games were anxiety inducing. I'd say this one more so because Mahomes was far more capable of putting up points than Goff. I knew if just ONE of those 3rd and 10's doesn't convert, Mahomes is most likely winning the game.

This really is going to be remembered as the game where two dynasties clashed. Tom's last of his 8-year AFCCC Championship run and Pat' at the beginning of his 5-year AFCCC (and counting) run And it went down to whichever qb had the ball last, a true classic battle.

This SuperBowl run solidified how important Gronkowski was for that team. Having a excellent receiving TE who can also block better than most of their offensive lineman was huge. It’s a reason why the offense looked so lost for the Pats in 2019. And why Tampa won the SuperBowl in 2020. He’s probably the greatest TE ever for a reason

@@Blinkncali21 they lost cappa who was a starting guard is probably one of the biggest reasons. Gronk was important for outside runs but in terms of inside running he probably was a good enough blocker to seal the backside and allow wirfs or smith to double, dont have film to support this but I assume he did allow for that

@The Real JayNice Look, I grew up rooting for the Redskins and he was always the quarterback skins fans I knew feared most in the division, more than McNabb and waaaaay more than Manning. Yes, he never won a superbowl but tons of great qbs never made it that far either. His improvisation, accuracy, and arm strength were all top notch but above that, he had a deep understanding of the game which I didn't fully appreciate the extent of until I saw his color commentary. Think of how terrible most of his defenses were and how mediocre his coaching always was. And, until the mid 2010s, he had one of the worst O lines in football. What he accomplished despite all that should definitely qualify him as a great qb and that's coming from the fan of a division rival.

Bills vs Chiefs ending was almost identical to this game. Both games had 24 and 25 points scored in the final 2-4 minutes. Game tying field goal and one OT drive to win it.

First football game I ever watched (I’m 18 now). I’ve been a lifelong basketball fan but my friends kept encouraging me to watch football. So I decided to watch this game and changed my life as a sports fan. Even though they lost, something about the Chiefs made me love them and I’ve been a fan ever since. People say I’m a bandwagon fan but I could care less. Win or lose, I love this team lol.
