Thomas Bringing back the 22B will make the original ones made in the late 90's worth much less so the people that own them won't get as much money for selling it.
The people who own them now would most likely have a lot of money anyway, besides subaru is a company and with high demand on the 22b they can be sure to make a fuckload of money from them

Its the hks ssqv. It sounds like that depending how much boost. Its not compressor surge. I have have an sti. So i know what im talking about.

no, it's a normal blow off valve, but with a harder spring. it cause the turbo surging. that means the valve open for a millisecond, and the turbo reject the rest of the air when it decelerate.. with a harder spring, the turbo take it's pressure instantly.
its not the waste gate or blow off valve.....its the throttle plate shutting on throttle release causing the pressure flow to suddenly stop and backtrack causing a pressure wave which leads to the compressor wheel slow and chop the pressurised air.....louder and more prominent sound with the more boost..the size of the hot n cold piping...and the material of the piping thickness etc..and cooler size and end tank desighn etc..
it sounds wicked, and the looks - even better

I think it's compressor surge that is why it sounds so different. That any other blow off valve.

There probably running no BOV, thats the compressor surge you hear. Its bad on stock turbos but aftermarkets that have over boost porting can take it and it helps you keep boost between shifts. As for WG most common ar Tial so I'd put a good bet on that.

Like I said I doubt that a bov. It's probably compressor surge from running without a bov/bpv. The excess boost is routed back to the intake tract instead of out the bov causing surge. Which is normally disappated by anti-surge porting on the compressor housing.
