Imagine having your older dream car, without worrying about power and having a rusted chassis. This is the first time I've seen a Manufacturer recreate an almost 1:1 classic halo car, but better in every way.

Being in my 40's the 22B STi is a thing of legend from my younger days. This looks AMAZING. Now I'd love to see him build a reproduction of an ST205 Toyota Celica All-Trac (I know...not their thing but still... love those cars).
It is certainly nice to see the Impreza 22B again. What's not so nice is the price, but I guess it is a good price for a low production racing engineering company product.

I thought the 22b was perfect. No. I don't say this lightly when i say this but this is probably the most perfect vehicle i have ever seen or ever will see in my life. I couldn't fault the 22b but if i had to really, and i mean really nitpick from an aesthetic point of view. Okay the pink badge, what's going on there. The gold wheels, iconic, but also a bit much. It's like whoever designed this P25 knew my nuanced and hyper specific obsession with the Subaru 22b and GC8, and managed to make my actual dream come true. They've rebuilt it. And somehow, seriously somehow managed to make a classic interior with modern features without killing the original feel to it and keeping it simple. I didn't think this could be possible. A dramatic monologue but im just in awe.
Not that i ever would ever even entertain the idea of ever owning one. But if i did, i would be that hated guy out of the whole small P25 community because i wouldn't keep it polished and unused for 25 years as an investment landmine. I would drive it everyday and clock up 100,000's of kilometres with that thing and lose all of its monetary value with no regrets. Ok im done.
The pink badges designate cars that are Japanese spec STI models.My STI Type R had a pink badge. Im not sure if the European spec 22b had a pink badge, or not., but i suspect it did. The later models have pink anti roll bars and some of the suspension components are also pink. No idea why pink......maybe just to be different!

The wheels show the brakes off outstandingly while in motion. I think 19" is a bit much for the chassis but otherwise it looks flawless... It bloody better be for 1/2 million GBP...
I once had purchased a new ‘o99 Subbie RS 2.5. Modified it a bit and outran more cars on the Taconic State PKWY than I could remember. What a blast that car was.

colin mcrae's 22b was the first r/c car i even bought from tamiya. i think it was a ta-03 chassis. LONG TIME AGO! i would be so happy to have a 22b or evo III for a daily driver. i couldnt do it where i live though as it would get stolen

I keep seeing the specs on these posted everywhere but I'm curious how they're building them. For that price I'm assuming they're building them from the ground up as new vehicles? I don't know anything about the company but if that's the case that seems pretty impressive to me. I guess if they had one original car to work with they could just reproduce everything but I haven't seen it mentioned how they're actually doing this.
2022 WRX saddens me. In 2023 Subaru should introduce a retro series of 22B’s with the same chassis but fitted with tech from newer models. They’d sell like hotcakes. The iconic, head-turning appearance of the WRX is long lost. Time to go back to the basics guys. I feel embarrassed driving past what looks like a Camry brandishing the same, precious WRX badge as me.
I love subaru, have personally owned 2 in my life, but $500,000 for a 400hp sequential 22B is fucking insanity. I dont care how special it is. also the interior isnt all that, its a restomod but they didnt have to make the centre console out of the worst plastic they could find
It isn't a 22B though is it. Its a bespoke car made by Prodrive, one of the world's leading motorsport engineering firms. This car in particular is a prototype and customer cars can be specced different ways, including the interior.
That drivers side door needs a refinish, it’s got a large cave in right below the window line. You can see it in certain light angles. I wonder if someone pushed it or leaned on it to hard and it dented.

Unequal lengths give, equal taketh away...and it's a tragedy. - Unequal length headers from cylinders 1&3, 2&4 mean the exhaust gases travel different lengths creating a rumble from the alternating pulses. - As opposed to equal length were the pulses arrive simultaneously and have a smoother, more constant sound

Thought that this was absolutely stunning, then saw the interior and realised it was pure class.

Definitely it's a well made restomod,because only interior is different,with few specific Prodrive details.Original car is still here

They have the escort. Being built in Wales. There are some amazing videos on RUclips. I guess they’re called Restomods. Cost £100,000, though.

I too cant stand the big rims personally. But at least it has giant brakes to make up for it. I think 16s would fit the period better

It was able to be ordered with manual or sequential irrc
Sequential is top of the manual tree. Don’t confuse it with an auto box just because it has paddles
