@@Jason-sz5zv My 2012 Hatchback has a 2.5L..newer gen's have the 2.0..tbh it doesn't mean anything on the road. The newer generation WRX STI will have a bigger engine/displacement but that doesn't mean you're automatically faster..
@@cdsprech completely false news! Everything on this car is 100% Subaru. You can simply hear the engine alone and realize this...not to mention the wastegate dump of hell unleashed every time he lifts his foot of the gas ...
gosh, that STI is so madly brutal. I love the clips where the driver wiggles the card like a mad man, on a straight, but stills in control

I'd say the fact it's not a stock compression, stock internals, blueprinted/balanced engine helps the sound enormously and even with a unequal length header setup would sound 👌
@@beaches2mountains230 exhaust manifold runners' length is what defines the tone, as you are playing with firing order and frequencies. Sure it would sound great with UEL, but definitely not as high-pitched as this.

Somehow i find it struggling to break traction more impressive.
I had a 07 Impreza wagon my papa and I wrx swapped and I’ll tell ya subies’ rarely break traction. Even being in a wagon I had so much grip it would almost create a false confidence. Subaru will be difficult to replicate in the future

The driver is that kid in school who says "Hey guys, look what I can do" then proceeds to do a triple hop kangaroo flop kung fu chop while everyone else is walking in single file. But we love admire them for doing it.

I dont think that’s a SSQ. The ssq has a woosh with a high pitch tone. That has been my all time favorite BOV. Too bad I can’t put one on my STI unless I get the specify tune for it which is way too many upgrades to make it worth it.
@@dougcastle1785they also come with tuning reeds to change the pitch I want one for my gr yaris but they are not yet available for it 😢
@@tonyw2960 It's not a blow off valve, it's turbo flutter from not running a valve.

Interesting that this is an STi built by ProDrive in the UK, racing at an event in the UK... but it's a left hand drive car. What's that all about?

tbh, all cars intake design would suck tiny amount of water during raining, as long as the intake isn't submerge in water, it should be fine.
Moisture or tiny droplets would vaporized during the suction of the intake and simply turn into steam during the intake cycle because of extreme high temperature inside of the combustion chamber...
As far as I would concern is, the heavy moisture in the intake probably affect the MAF sensor reading... (Due to the setup, Prodrive probably got rid of it, just run the MAP instead...)

Anyone know where to get the aero/bodykit?
is not something youll find locally. You will have to get in contact with Prodrive, as they are the ones who built it. Second, for you to have that body kit, similar work as the WRC car will need to be done to your car. We are talking about bigger arches, and extensive bodywork that has nothing conventional at all.
I would suggest to just admire the build and dream, as I do:)
