It’s like an artist doing an oil painting. Beautiful. It’s seems expensive but you’re not just paying for the foot. You’re paying for the years this chef has put in making everything perfection. Plus the best ingredients.
@@cupcake_whale Different strokes for different folks. Many are glad this option is available to them. I am really glad this episode was shared with us
@@cupcake_whale Fine dining to me is getting the chance to experience what the pinnacle of flavor is. Basically you're eating something, someone has trained for years and source what they think the best ingredients are and transforming it into something delicious. Tasting menus are generally small multi course meals. That being said, you aren't going to feel stuffed like you would at a cheaper diner, but you definitely aren't leaving hungry. Gluttony sometimes isn't the answer. This isn't to say that everyday foods aren't delicious. A good burger is something to die for.
I can't have any of this shellfish.. but man is it pretty to watch Max cook it. That was the most delicious "crispy rice at the bottom of the rice pot" i had ever seen.

I love that they bring out the lobster to meet you while it's still alive at the end. Like, "Hello, my name is Chad and I'll be your lobster tonight," and then they take it in the back and chop it up. But not until after you've properly met!
The presentation was pretty cool, however those portions were small IMO. Sautéing the innards of the prawns and lobsters into sauces was absolutely gnarly. Those chefs were terrific. Great video.

Been watching you two for a while now and I have so many places to visit when I can start traveling. Glad to feel like I've been on this amazing journey with you both.
🦐 That's just insane detail. I like the look in her eyes at 11:16 which clearly convey that "I'm enjoying this micro feast and NOT you."
For a second I was really trying to figure out what meat the beetroot was 🙄😂whoops
me too
I love the amount of respect that goes into this type of cooking
Love the way this has text instead of dialogue and just light non distracting music in the background and just the sounds of the chef, this was my first video,I’m subbed and looking forward to bingeing. Domo arigoto.
It's nice to watch you enjoy good food! You look to be a special person, a happy person!
I've never tried lotus root but would if I had the chance. I laughed when she handed the fried eyeballs off. XD
So simple and modest, yet complex in the way they use the flavors together, but seperately at the same time. Very Skillful, id love to get 1st hand view/taste. A true art form.
Oh man the way he removed the prawn guts, he's so fast and efficient. I love it 😭😭
This dude knows how to work a knife
Oh the artwork of this food preparation is amazing!
It’s like an artist doing an oil painting. Beautiful. It’s seems expensive but you’re not just paying for the foot. You’re paying for the years this chef has put in making everything perfection. Plus the best ingredients.
@James Larkin
I would hope for that price I'm not just paying for the "foot" lol.
you want the food? you get the foot!
Prawns over cooked and just a bunch of hoo haw to distract you from the terrible food
@@malanawarren4456 Did you taste it?
This is some next level surf and turf! Absolute artistry! I really want to go there!
all those works for just... grilling two shrimps. fancy food in a nutshell
Excuse me there were 4 shrimps 😂 but yeah I dont understand fine dining
@@cupcake_whale Different strokes for different folks. Many are glad this option is available to them. They work hard and are rewarded well and then enjoy proving they are worth the dining experience. I get it. Now retired, it's not even a consideration for me any longer but I am glad others do it. I am really glad this episode was shared with us
Miss that's art in the video wdym
Fantastic the way the shrimps were prepared, nothing was wasted.
The food looks good and the place is beautiful :)
I know these guys refer to themselves as chefs, but really they are more like food artists. This looks AMAZING!
A chef is a food artist
@@marijamayer4682
Stop projecting.
Just watching Max do the prawns! 🦐 Dude has some wicked skills!!!
1:56 - 2:09 things are happening so quickly! I love that he de-veined or took the sac out.
Me: I'll have the dinner for two.
Chef: Excellent, where is the other party?
Me: We're here.
Hahaah so excited was getting caught up all old vids when i saw this notification and i was like the old vid can wait
Same!
I do like it when they focus on cooking good food w/o all those fancy flips 'n' tricks.
Different type of restaurant, different level if skill. And it shows in the price
The prawn eyeballs are the best. I was sad when I saw you in a restaurant and the chef chopped the head off the prawn and discarded it. This guy did cook them marvelously!
Watching this while eating instant noodles 😂
I immediately come from the notification. No regret, and yes seeing this makes me want to eat gyuudon😳👌🏻
Fantastic chef, great video skills and almost like an ASMR video! Very amazing!
Are you aware that this is also brilliant ASMR in all its beauty? 🍻
I’m impressed that he used every part of the prawns. It’s soemthing you don’t see often in the US.
I am only 6 minutes in, but this is amazing. I see 4 prawns and think, that is not a lot, and then he puts his hands on these 4 prawns. It is fascinating to see what he makes out of them!
How he uses the different temp. of the the teppanyaki is surprising.
I totally love Japanese Teppanyaki. That all looked so amazing though not the eye balls and brains lol. Thank you for sharing with us as was so divine. 💖
I love that they bring out the lobster to meet you while it's still alive at the end. Like, "Hello, my name is Chad and I'll be your lobster tonight," and then they take it in the back and chop it up. But not until after you've properly met!
I should not have watched this at 3 AM… damn hahaha, now I’m hungry 😆
Those spatula skills are a thing to behold tho; so much finesse and precision 🤩
My days went less boring when you post your video. Stay safe & healthy, the pandemic is still going on.
Probably one of the best things I encountered this pandemic❤️ Love from India❤️
The prawns: 👀
The presentation was pretty cool, however those portions were small IMO. Sautéing the innards of the prawns and lobsters into sauces was absolutely gnarly. Those chefs were terrific. Great video.
It's aan experience and taste experience. Not red lobster
Yea I don't want to taste a sauce made of buttered brains...not an experience my taste buds Wanna explore
@@vinniemascaro6649 as nasty as the Presentation looks, tastes wise, it actually not that bad, I mean common we literally eat scrabbled baby chicken, eggs...I respect your opinion though :)
People use prawn heads and shells to make broth/stock. Chicken bones too. Nothing uncommon. Expand your taste palette maybe
@@random95725 My palate's fine, I just thought it was wild to see them use different parts of the prawn and lobster into other ways.
You know, everyone keeps saying it's an insane price for such little food, but obviously you're not coming to this place and getting this course when you're super hungry. You pay for the experience, the quality of the food, the expert cooking AND entertaining skills of the chef.
Exactly, not like you eat here every day. I mean you can but not everyone. If I was spending $2,000 on a ticket to Japan I’m not going to McDonald’s every night
Not entertaining skills of chef, his experience and skill with temperature, timing, seasoning.
It's so beautiful!!!! + look delicious!!!! It is art of food. Many fine details in each step. That is one of the charming of Japanese food. I love it. 👍😍❤️
Teppanyaki restaurants are some of the best restaurants around, well worth the price.
I got to say, the smile when she eats the food really sells it for me
Over time this is the only thing what really annoyed me. Acting surprised that it’s good, you’re paying a fortune for relatively a small amount of food!!
most of the time she's holding the camera in hand
we should really appreciate her work
Yey, I love when you go to these interesting restaurants. There’s nothing like that near me and I’d never get to see the stunning food. That’s so much work just to prepare 4 prawns / shrimp.
It's amazing how many different components he made out of a prawn, each cooked differently.
Respect for the prawn is what that is.
Id eat all the bits the way he prepped it 😊
@@aesh78 I have watched dozens of these teppanyaki videos. It is relaxing to watch the artist at work without annoying chatter. On the other hand, it would be nice to have either subtle narration or subtitles to explain what is actually being done.
Well,I'm from Argentina, where the money is devalued.
So,converting from dollar to Peso (our coin)
That meal will cost 26.869 pesos
Your videos make me feel comfortable, keep going!
(Sorry if my spelling is bad)
How amazing it must feel to have such skills as an executive chef!! 👍👍
Wow... Cooking is really an art and all of this looks amazing! :O
Enough quantity to cover 5% of my stomach.
