I know this was a 2 year old comment, but I feel compelled to tell 4-piano orchestra or anyone who thinks the same way that there is no piccolo trombone in this video. I don't even see an alto trombone, but my phone screen isn't that big. The guy you hear playing the high stuff is playing on a tenor. He's just REALLY GOOD!
Dude my school band did a frozen piece with all the frozen songs 3 years ago and I was a sophomore and that's when I got my 1st taste of the bass trombone. I fell in love and continued to play the bass for symphonic and marching band. And now I cant do my last concert with my classmates cause covid happened😞
Just my two cents, but I think this whole ensemble would sound fuller with the aid of a tuba. Don't get me wrong, this is SUPERB! Especially the bass trombones hitting double pedals like a piano could. But in my opinion, low brass just sounds meaner or more aggressive with the aid of a conical instrument such as the tuba. They had a euphonium, awesome addition, but I think they should have had a tuba in there as well. Maybe they didn't want to achieve a darker sound with a tuba. I'm a bass trombone player myself so I'm not dissing this in any way. This was awesome! They all achieved a professional sound.
+BigFlipFlap It depends on the video they do. They had tuba in their lord of the rings one. And this song doesn't have a lot of bass in the original, so their decision makes sence

I just don't think that a tuba could add anything, at least in this arrangement. Behold that awesome bottom end when the bass bones rock pedal, baby! A tuba can go lower, but it can't match the sheer power of those bones! Did I mention that I'm a trombone player. Ha! This piece is great no matter the instrumentation!
yes.. what a wonderful way ro make a low brass ensemble! how about lets add in some horns too! and maybe even a string bass and a bari sax just for some color! wait... isn't this group called... the "Szeged Trombone Ensemble"? sorry,.. flashbacks of my kids High School jazz band with a tuba... what a perfectly awesome way to ruin a section. Stay in concert band please.
My life goal is meet yall honestly! I have been playing for two years (not this good like at all) but I still think its awesome to have such amazing representatives for low brass!
Max that is more than enough proof that trombone and baritone are the best. No need for trumpets, frenchies, or tubas in this brass band; they have trombones and baritones to perfectly replace them!

At the end the 1st Trombone laughed and later joked that there should be a close up of the guy who hit the last note on the xylophone, because it is similar to the little girl (I think) Elsa who made a face similar to the guy striking the xylophone. It is just typical Hungarian jokes, unexplainable 😃 Happy holidays
