    The Trombone, the instrument of the Gods. ----My Music teacher

    • @exiledhobbit1441
      @exiledhobbit1441 9 лет назад +5

      Zero I was a low brass too. Trumpet before that, then Euphonium and Baritone, and marching versions. So basically, "Low Brass Kicks Ass" and my band director was a Trombonist. so basically "The Instrument of the Gods." Yep.... LOL

      +Zero Euphonium is the most beautiful instrument.

    • @majest33
      @majest33 9 лет назад

      +Zero not to troll but..idk strings do more for me, reach deeper into the ligaments. soothe the pain of the savage beast within. Maybe horns are like the instruments of Kings and Nephilim.Whereas strings are of the instruments of Queens and Seraphim. Well just leave the gods out of it by saying the play whatever it/they want..especially the weather...drums maybe. Drums seem more particularly human though..yeh everybody plays drums...especially when bored..so again , idk.

    On a side note; It is was 25 years ago I heard Urbie Green at the DWJF and knew I wanted to play trombone. A lifetime later hearing you made me dust my horn off. Thank you for that.

    Mate your tone, especially in the fast moving sequences, are just great. They have a very clear resonance. I know it's what most trombonists know, your high notes and low notes need to sound as polished as each other, but your really have that. I hope to be listening to more of your stuff.

The sad part is that hearing this wonderful performance reminds me of the reasons that I hung up my King 2B and 3B Silver Sonics a number of years ago. So much work and native talent is required to reach anywhere near that level of capability, and an equal amount, constantly, to stay there!

      You are forgetting Euphoniums. Tubas, Euphoniums, THEN trombones. trombones arent even needed tbh, unless you specifically want the 'whining' sound of a trombone. their sound fits perfectly with jazz band, but everywhere else Euphoniums are the optimal choice.

    • @trentonballiger7032

    • @trentonballiger7032
      @trentonballiger7032 10 лет назад +4

      Jason Klein They are completely diffrent from trombones. 1st off trombones are in tenor and euphoniums are in baritone. Eu[hpniums are whinier than trombones, a ton of times trombones are wanted becuase of their mellower, better sound and the glissando ability where as no other instrument can glissando.

      Trombones are trombones. You play them the same.

      Eric Lozaga Actually they're not. Each one has a different feel to it, another requires more/stronger air and many other things. Source: I'm a trombonist myself.

    • @ez8308
      @ez8308 10 лет назад

      Zero yes. I play trombone too. It doesn't matter what kind you play, the fundamental is still the same. You play them the same. It's all technique. You breathe the same, you vibrate your lips the same, you slide the same. Some trombones deal with different ranges, but how you play them are the same. Yes, some horns have more feedback, some are large bore and some small.. some have triggers or two.., some are tenor or bass.. but the technique and fundamentals of playing a trombone doesn't change.

    That was awesome, I've been playing this on trumpet and you are playing it in the same key as what I play it. I thought while I was listening to this that it sounded like the same key and so I played along with you. Thanks for the fun. Although there are several people doing covers of this song they are not all played in the same key.

    Okay so I'm a flutist. I played in a band once with a trombonist who said "The Trombone is the Voice of God." At the time I was like "Pfft." Maybe he was onto something. Sharing this with my grandson, helping him choose an instrument. :)
