    Pretty much my routine with different products. I don't know how long my hair is, I think somewhere in between bra strap and waistlength? The goal is to retain all of my length. Let's do this! 💗

    🤯 This is so similar to what I plan on doing! The only thing different is that I may or may not be using a scalp oil regularly. I wanted to go back to sulfur eight and black tea rinses which really helped with my shedding when I was relaxed. Still working on cleaning up my diet to 100% whole food plant based high raw.
    Edit: Will be wearing faux twists or locs

    I'm in! I'd like to also try being less outrightly neglectful. Careful neglect did give me inches but it's gotten out of hand now 😅.
    I use just 4 products at most so im good on the product end for me.
    Will there be any instructions to follow or just get to a certain length at years' end?
    I'd appreciate tailbone as well...

    • @SimplyJuliaLauren
      @SimplyJuliaLauren  7 месяцев назад +4

      I'll be dropping a full wash day video in January of what I'll be doing for the year, but the main thing is to keep our hair in a protective style and only take down to wash as needed. I'd say to what works best for your hair, though the goal is to stay consistent and try to see how many inches we can get at the end of it all

    I want to take part in your challenge but I'd like to try straightening my hair in 2024 after three years of natural hair. Do you think it's possible to alternate straightening and natural hair without damaging it?

    • @SimplyJuliaLauren
      @SimplyJuliaLauren  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yes! It’s possible to not damage your hair- just be careful with the products you use and the amount of heat.
      I highly recommend blow drying with a special blow drying spray as it helps your hair get blown out faster to lessen the amount of heat and then using a heat protectant before you flat iron. I got damage from heating my hair about once a month; sometimes more. Moving forward, after this challenge, I’ve learned to only heat my hair maybe 2-3 times a year as that seems to be the most my hair can take before it begins breaking.
