I did my twist last week but they short I dnt think they look good. I’m wearing like a turban when I’m out but is just keeping my hair dry 😢

Wow...things like that never mattered when i was school. I was born with long hair that was waist length at 10. I was hated bcus of the three Cs curls curves and cutie. I was one of 3 blk girls in my entire neighborhood with naturally long thick hair. Most girls had really short relaxed hair. It was never a thought for me til college.

Almost never to be completely honest.

Lol I have a small tender spot towards the front on the right and omg even just lifting up the hair before even detangling it, it feels like I'm trying to kill myself. But I feel for people who have that all over their head 😭

The first time took me about 7 years cause I didn’t know what I was doing. This is after a huge big chop in almost Jan 2022. There is indeed hope as long as you stay consistent, stay patient and stick to your three pillars!

Porosity is key to finding what works. Do you know what porosity you are?
I personally am no longer a fan of hair typing as this changes based on age, environment, pregnancy, diet, medications taken, etc. These trends (in my opinion) are overrated and another way to categorize and separate those in the natural hair community instead of just focusing on the self. If you look further in the channel, I got asked so many times I decided to do the "test", but again, the way my hair acts will still change.
@SimplyJuliaLauren So porosity is not hair typing. It's how porous your hair is. For instance, you know how some things make your hair feel amazing and others don't? That has to do with your hair's porosity. For me, coconut oils are a no, no, because I have low porosity. There are a few things I stay away from because of my porosity. It's scientific. Thank you for sharing your experiences with the Indigenous Strandz method. I am looking for someone on RUclips who is following her with low porosity hair. She has high porosity, and some of her products won't work on my hair because my cuticles are already tight (low porosity), so I don't want to close them anymore. Also, Castor oil is too thick. You see where I'm going from. I don't care too much for Andre Walker's 1-4, a-c hair typing.
How many times do you remoisturize in-between wash days?
Depends on many factors. Sometimes not at all, sometimes a couple times a week.
