    I’ve noticed the most hair growth when I stay out of hair salons 💇🏽‍♀️ and do my hair at home.

      @@MichelleG333 I think it’s because they can charge you for a hair cut 💇🏽‍♀️. If trims and clips were free, then they wouldn’t do them as often. There’s a difference between a clip, a trim, and a cut.. but to hear them tell it, it’s all the same.

    Great video! I met my hair goal (around bra strap length) and pushing for more growth. I achieved it with switching up my diet, minimal/no heat, and finding the right products for my hair. The heat thing I’m iffy on because my hair doesn’t like heat at all, but my mom’s loves it and we’re both natural. I had to blow my hair out for my yearly trim last year and it lasted about 5 mins even with the strong hold products in. Her hair has no damage in sight and her hair reverts back once she washes it. The sorcery! 😂

      @Sparkle-ey7iw palmers coconut/protein. For 30 minutes with a heated cap. Sometimes you need to leave it longer or do 2 or 3 before it's back to normal

    I agree with you 100%, I do not use any heat on my hair ever! Back on my hair journey now for 14 months, my hair has grown over 12 inches. I don't really measure it. But after I cut my hair 14 months ago, my hair was shoulder length. Now my hair is just about waist length. About an inch or two above my waist now, but my hair is not straightened at all, so it might actually be to my waist.

    Shawnta,
    Thank you so much for your quality videos. Your hair is absolutely beautiful. I have been natural for just over nine years now, and the past year, suffered a tremendous setback (extreme hair fall/loss/thinning). I'm working my way back to better hair. My questions for are, do you use a heat protectant with silicones when you do your blowouts, and if so, how do you get and keep your hair moisturized with your layering process? I watched your video about the protective style that saved your hair, and I want to try that process and style. I also have a bit of a struggle keeping not just my edges to stay down, but the top layer of my hair, and I'm not sure whether my hair has broken off or is growing in. Again, the past year, my hair has changed dramatically, and needless to say, it has been devestating. I'm now doing everything I can to get it healthy and thriving again (prayer being the number one thing!)
    Have a blessed day, and I look forward to your reply.

      Thank you! I actually use shea moisture professionals line for a heat protector. I find putting edge control on the top of my hair, brushing it down and then putting on a scarf for a few minutes helps to keep fly aways down, works well. I will be uploading a video soon on how I got my hair back to healthy soon! I am glad you're already on the path to getting your hair back to where it needs to be!

    I just want my hair under by boobs at the front, so just above waist length 😭 I’m going to try to focus on eating better, I don’t think I eat enough and I’m a pescatarian. I need to protective style but I don’t trust hair salons, my hair is too thin to do mini twist.

    • @ravenpeoples
      @ravenpeoples 23 дня назад +2

      I fast 16 hours and eat a pescatarian diet, so I definitely understand not feeling like you are eating enough.
      Because of this, I have to supplement. This includes a multivitamin, a blood builder, and an herbal supplement, which includes fenugreek and saw palmetto amongst other ayurvedic herbs. I swear by the ghm. So, I twist my hair, not mini, using the loc method, put on a conditioning cap, and then wear my wig for weeks without touching my hair. I would spritz with a water/oil mixture if my hair starts to get dry. Wash, condition, deep condition or mask, and repeat. Yes, it smells after a while, but adding rosemary oil or an oil of your choice can eliminate most of the smell.
      I get that this may not work for everyone, but it has for me. For the record, I am type 4 hair and waist length with thickness.

    • @Appleboo222
      @Appleboo222 22 дня назад

      @@ravenpeoples thank you for your reply! I really appreciate it! You make it seem possible! I will look into blood builder and a herbal supplement as I use a multivitamin but that’s it. I need to find a good wig! I’m not giving up and going to try to get to my goal length! Thanks love ❤️
