    Thanks for sharing. I'm currently at tailbone length and my goal is hip length (non-stretched). This is an eye-opener to maintain healthy hair regardless of whether or not I've reached my desired length. We keep riding forever...😅

    It’s crazy how you’re posting this, I have been taking a break from protective styling and wowza did it take a toll on my hair. I have relied so much on the routine of protective styling that I actually don’t know how to take care of my hair outside of it. Now I’m back to protective styling and I’m a little anxious for when I reach my goal and if I’ll be able to maintain my hair. Creating an entirely new routine after having the same one for years, but your video really instilled the idea that achieving something doesn’t mean it’ll stay there without effort.

    Do you put anything around your hair line? my hair gets super curly around my hairline and around the back of my hair. I usually have my hair in a ponytail for work.

    Girl i have to start over. Got hard water damage early last year when i travelled and i was so damaged i had to cut most of it off. 😢...even my texture changed and my growth is stunted and stopped growing even though ive been consistent with my regular routine. Help..

    • @ShawntasWay
      @ShawntasWay  3 месяца назад +5

      Yes! Hard water is an underrated hair damager. I used to have hard water in my old apartment, in my new house we have a water softener. I was told by a stylist that if you don't have a softener then to to double cleanse with a good shampoo on wash days. Cleanse especially around your edges and roots.

      Get a chelating shampoo that you can use monthly to get rid of the hard water deposits and go back to the routine that worked before.
