John Mayer is brilliant! I come from a line of music. I get chills from my head to my toes. One of my favorite artists ever. He is a legend! I hope to hear more for many years from him! Keep doing you sir! Acoustic especially. Different rip and vibe acoustically. Wanna truly know if the message is being conveyed? Listen to any artist, acoustic or a capella and you shall form an opinion of your own. That is what makes them successful. If they cannot convey the lyrics to an audience of 1 or 1 million, the artist has failed. Raw emotion and vulnerability make an artist succeed. If they cannot provide that, it's sad, but true, they won't make it.

He celebrates his classics & as well as puts new spins on them so we add yet another version of a beloved JM song to our favorites. All while still creating completely new music & interesting collabs. He seems like a great human too with a flawed past who has owned up & forgiven himself in ways we could all learn from.

    Artist levels:
    1. John Mayer
    2. God
    3. Talented
    4. Amazing
    5. Good
Playing a guitar like that and singing at the same time is simply mind blowing! I’m still amazed on how he makes it looking so easy!

The first time I ever really "heard" John's music was when I caught a live version streaming on RUclips years ago of his "Trio" doing an extended version of Gravity". I said to myself WTF, have I been living under a tub? What an enigmatic musician and bandleader. He bounced off Steve Jordan, one of the greatest drummers on the planet. I knew Jordan, but didn't know Mayer. After seeing him in concert a couple of times now, and hearing his entire portfolio, I am convinced. He can write like Paul and Neil, perform with virtuosity like Django and Eric, sing like Billy and Elton, and show his humility and vulnerability like no other artist. He is the real deal.
