  • I'm an Indian watercolour artist who specializes in Urban Sketching and wildlife. Last month I completed a daily art challenge called Birdtober, during which I painted 31 birds in 31 days.
    This video is a demonstration of how I painted one of the birds, a Pink Robin from Australia.

    The materials I use in this demo are as follows:
    Paper: 1/8th, Fabriano Artistico rough, 300gsm watercolour paper
    Paints: Assorted artist grade watercolours from White Nights, Mijello, Sennelier etc. Watercolour pencils.
    Brushes: size 2 mop, size 6, 3, 0 round.

    What a sweet little bird. It feels like it flew out of a fairy tale and landed in our world. I like how you did the dry brush for the tail 👍
