- Hello everyone! Welcome to the new episode of the Dossiers! As I promised at the end of Enterprise's video, we take a look at one of her rivals from Japan, but I thought I'd sweeten the deal and give you a Two-for-One! Hope you enjoy my break down of the sisters Amagi and Akagi!

You flip from one side of the pacific to the other, from one class of Carrier to the opposing with Akagi. A worthy choice id say for the second set of sisters to receive a dossier.
I like how the Sakura main fleet are either the sweetest characters, the most unhinged, or just serious. They include some of my favorites, lie Souryuu, Hiei, Amagi, and Ise. Then they have the characters whom I want to court martial almost every time they show up in the story because they are doing something insane, stupid, or insanely stupid, i.e: Akagi and Taihou. I want to say Musashi too because while she isn’t dumb, she still plays along and is just letting Akagi create her own sub faction while explicitly falling into the same damned pitfall Bismarck had to go through hell to recover from, and do whatever the Sirens say, despite ALL evidence telling her to do otherwise! Yeah, thanks Musashi, just sit there while Nagato and yourself are completely undermined within your own faction by a traitor!
Damn, needed to vent that
Amazing video! I was exited when you mentioned my favorite foxes were gonna get a video soon! Can’t wait for Amagi II in Azur lane. Ever since Yorktown II, I’ve hoped for the possibility of Amagi II and I’ve been saving a ring just for her!
Yeah it'll be interesting to see if we get an Amagi II!
8:17 Now I really want to see it on my own eyes. At the very least she is still present in this world even though no longer in her complete form.
I am very impressed with your video quality. This series is the best Azure lane I have seen.
Thank you!
Found you in my recommended and been binging all dossiers during my shiftso far. I’m definetly going to sub to listen to it while at work
Fantastically well done, can't wait for the next one.
Another banger video as always. Also Amagi's sweet motherly nature even while sick is what made me fall head over heels for her, and I'm a die hard (pun intended) America man. As you said yourself "they're wonderful Amagi, please lie down and rest".
I found your channel through Azur Lane. I wanna say I really enjoy your videos. Keep it up 👍
Y’know, I sometimes forget these ships were originally meant to have 16” main guns and not 10” ones during their planned time as Battlecruisers…
Strange, I know.
Still, for some context, I’m currently reading the Destroyermen book series by Taylor Anderson at the moment - a Science Fiction series fallowing the crews of two US destroyers (the USS Walker and the USS Mahan) alongside the Amagi (which was able to be saved from her fate during the initial timeline of the Books and became a battlecruiser as she was originally meant to be, but was bizarrely fitted with 10” main guns instead of her 16” ones for some unknown reason… from what I’ve read, it’s never explained…) getting transported to a parallel world where assumedly the meteorite which killed the dinosaurs never hit Earth.
I definitely recommend giving the series a read if you can.
… but besides me promoting a old book series, I’m loving these videos.
Great work!
I heard of the books here and there, but never got the full idea behind them. They def sound like something from a cheesy 50s sci-fi movie night lol, I'll have to see if I can at least find an audiobook for them.
@@TetravaultActual, oh they definitely have the mid-too-late 19s cheesy sci-fi feel to them. Very “Lost World” or “Journey to the Centre of the Earth” kinda vibes if I’m getting classics right.
Keep em coming! These are awesome
nice vid bro
Thank you!
AFAIK, Kaga was supposed to be a battleship instead of a battlecruiser, with her own sister, Tosa. I don't know much about Tosa, but she was more likely scrapped and or cancelled.
Eeyup, you're pretty much on point. The Amagi-class was meant to be a faster version of the Tosa-class, though both classes shared similar fates. Kaga is Akagi's "sister" as Carriers, but more like immediate cousins in the grand scheme of things.
Nice video, i like it. I've never played azure lane, but now I'm interested. As a suggestion, how about you do videos in an alternating pattern. This video is about the carrier conversion of the Amagi class battlecruisers. How about you do the Lexington sisters next?
The Lex gals will get their time to shine, can't say when though lol
also fun fact James Shigeta the guy who plays holly's boss in the first movie also plays Nagumo in the Midway movie from 1976.
Interesting!
I wouldn't change the icon for the dossier series all the time, getting a consistent icon makes it easier to spot elements of the series in the recommendations. Picka consistent theme and stick wiht it.
Nothing wrong with testing the waters to see what works. Though considering the thumbnail for this video was easier to knock out (because my PS are rusty as all hell), and looks more visually appealing, I'm fairly certain I've found the look.
Friend, can you activate the subtitles, it doesn't matter if they are the automatic RUclips subtitles, I want to see the recent videos but my English is not very advanced
I still think you need to go into coice over work!😂
Well let me get a profile built up first ma, lol
@@TetravaultActual 😂
17:45 This was the point when I couldn't watch further. I get you wanted to bring your own commentary, but please work on your delivery.
*inhales through teeth* "Yeeaaah. I. like. to. think. she's. mentioning..."
That feels so out of place when contrasted to the professional quality documentary commentary of most of video and the other videos (minus the headcanon part of Enterprise). It can either be a professional documentary you're telling to an audience, or a casual story you're telling to a friend across the lunch table. Trying to do both is just... jarring.
I get what you mean, however that is how I generally emphasize a point, and have my entire life. I get it's jarring and distracting, but if I were to be cut and dry like a high grade documentary, it would be boring in my opinion. There are points in my script writing where I go off from what I've written to help break up the monotonous tone.
Besides, these Dossier videos were never meant to be a serious tone (except where it matters), considering I'm linking an anime mobile game back to real world events, some levity and tone shift is needed lol
