- Welcome back friends! You all REALLY seem to like the "History!? In MY Gacha Game?!" video, it's been my best performing video so far! I'm enjoying the interaction I've been getting from you guys too! Thank you so much! Looks like the choice to make a niche convention panel idea as a video paid off!
With all that in mind, it inspired me to kick off an actual character analysis series of the characters for Azur Lane, and I'm calling it "The Dossiers". Enjoy!

Japanese Sub: Sinks Yorktown CV-5
Yorktown CV-10 on launch: "I'm gonna get that bastard!"
Great video, always loved historical Azur Lane.
Side note:
The eagle wasn't just an American symbol and Yorktown's insignia.
Grim (the eagle's name) has been theorized by many as the representation of VF-10 "Grim Reapers", Enterprise's Fighter Squadron.
The first commanding officer of VF-10 was James H. Flatley, who served abroad Yorktown during the Battle of the Coral Sea.
Ooooh I was wondering when the eagle was named Grim! I wasn't sure if it was before or after Enty got the bird, so I didn't cover that bit. I'll be sure to address this when I cover Enterprise!
Side note: When Admiral Nimitz were informed that Yorktown repair would need at least 2 weeks, he replied to get it ready for Midway. Hence, it repair finished in 48 hour.
Extra side note: When the Lexington sunk at Coral Sea, her crew raided her ice cream stockpile...
The crew got their priorities set 🗿
Enterprise.... Enty
Yorktown..... Yorky...
Hornet..... You 😅
Who, meee? Neverrrrrrr...
This series must expand further and further
I fully intend to!
Great video, about time Yorktown got an Azure lane history video. One thing you did forget to mention was Yorktown’s duel with the Twin Cranes at Coral. She decimated their air complements and got some good hits on Shokaku which prevented Yamamoto from using either in his “Kantai Kessen”. But thinking both carriers at Coral were sunk, meaning he outnumbered the Americans 2:1 on carriers, he attacked anyway, only to get jump scared by the only operational aircraft carrier in the world with experience in carrier battles. Big E learned a lot of her tricks from her sister.
Oh worry not, when I give Zuikaku and Shōkaku a proper Dossier episode, I will be mentioning Yorktown's duel ;)
As a 6 years ssk, absolutely love this. Get emotional several times.
I might just be really weird, but I get so emotional watching videos like these. These hybrid of real history combined with anime waifus, specifically azur lane, always makes me some combined emotion of teary eyed and ungodly amount of patriotically proud. I cry more to these videos than I do movies or books that try their damnedest to be sad. Please keep making these.
It's not weird at all dude! It shows that you're engaged with the story! We all know how most of our favorite characters ended up IRL, but to hear the trials and tribulations them and their crews went through before meeting their untimely ends depends on how the timeline is narrated.
I could be cut and dry with a stale narration, or I can weave a story of a character who is inspired by the real world bravery of thousands of young men. Not only am I telling the story of a vessel, but the story of its crew.
Shed a tear or two, it's okay; You're moved by the actions that led to you being able to sit there today and hear the tales of the past.
I love Azur Lane History. Great work
Thank you!
The growth of channel. We will watch your career with great intrest!
Yorktown my wife 😊
Good to see the first video in this series is of my favorite ship both in real life and Azur Lane, I look forward to seeing you make other videos about ships from the game. And seeing how you talk about the other ships that are high on my list of favorites. So I give you a sub with notifications on to be here for future videos.
If you want to know more about the absolute comical clusterfuck that was the Battle of Coral Sea, Montemayor has a fantastic video about it right here on youtube.
Spoiler: it was infuriating. Everyone failed their luck tests.
Yeah from what I read, Coral Sea was bonkers
somehow this is fun too☕🗿
Thus gave me CHILLS!
Thanks ma!
I feel like the Eagle Union have a Eagle and Owl sanctuary on the base

It's okay to cry. She fought well, she fought hard. She's resting now, enjoying a quiet slumber.
Lovin' this. Great work.
Thank you kindly!
This was really cool
Great video!
Yessir yessir!
Well! Soryu and Hiryu are not Sister ship, they were similar looking but very different design.
Oooooooooohhhhhhh so kinda what happened with Akagi and Kaga. They're "sisters" but not actual sisters. Noted!
@@TetravaultActual Unlike Akagi and Kaga who were of a Battlecruiser and battleship design, As the first IJN purposed built medium carriers design, Both Soryu and Hiryu had a lot of similarities with Hiryu taking a lot of inspiration from the G-9 design.
Soryu Design is Project G9 and Hiryu Project G-10. Also, Hiryu is sometime called the Improved Soryu Design(Soryu-Kai) by some people.
you ready to make a 5 hour video of enterprise? lol
If all goes well, initial script recording should only be ~45 minutes, she's def gonna be the lengthier episode
Hi i just subscribed and wandering if you will do a video on warspite
Maybe down the line, though I cannot say for certain. I do intend on giving a fair decent bit of coverage to most of the characters.
WEEB

@@Aroxsch Oh hell yeah! That's some QUALITY stuff right there!
@@TetravaultActual I'm aware
Sh*t cost me 25euro and it was all worth it...
Kinda....
Ish......
The “Japs” back then enslaved, tortured and killed hundreds of thousands of people. Yeah, there was animosity and these slang names should not carry over to today. I guess you know about the Yorktown but forget the evil associated with events like the Bataan Death March.
Events like the Bataan Death March may or may not get some coverage later down the line. As it stands, that sort of material does not fit the current framework for my videos, as I am merely highlighting where history and entertainment from a mobile game meet. I do not forget the evil, it merely doesn't have a place within my content yet. I'm not ignoring it, I'm just not ready to tackle that sort of material yet. I'm just a nerd/amateur historian who is making the videos he wants to make for the time being.
