I go full offense Helena and Cleveland, with another buffing ship, or straight up damage (Shimakaze) The reason why I use Cleveland is due to her actually benefiting from Helena’s skill being luck based, and Helena’s buff, and is tough enough for practical use Overall it’s the best offensive combo, The only exception is BB’s against light armor, where a Plymouth is marginally better, sometimes As for Shimakaze, well, she can do enough damage to overcome any ship’s ability to buff (Plymouth, Kazagumo (unless you get lucky with the torpedoes), Usually tanks are only for events and campaign normal stages, combined with a healer, There’s an argument to be made that tanks can allow the main fleet to get an extra amount of damage in, which is true But only in extreme cases, and even then, Cleveland x Helena is still the best combination (Despite what many other people say, the numbers add up, that being said, It’s also far easier and more beneficial to get Cleveland, than Plymouth) As for best Tank/tankiest, Anchorage for CA’s, and Brest for CB’s (If you include heal, otherwise Brest isn’t Oh, and it’s not Ägir because Brest also has the same defensive buff (similar) she does, even with medium armor and a bugged secondary/main gun (it can’t shoot backwards) Other notable CA’s are Saint Louis (I know Prinz Heinrich exists, but she’s limited time) Prinz Eugen since she’s available for practically free, same with Portland
The only mistake I see in the comment is with the CB, Ägir is by far the best in the game in any boss composition (and in all content in general). In fact, the 2 best fleets, both the Aircraft Carrier and the Battleship fleet use her in their composition. She has native heavy armor to begin with, so unlike the rest of the CB she doesn't have to spend an Auxiliary slot on the Armor plate. Add to that details like passive buffs to crits and defense/evasion, the slow that her torpedoes apply, her special armor break, and the best main weapon efficiency among all CBs and it's easy to see why she's on top.

Agir has 531 more base Hp than Brest (80 more than what healing represents) Of the rest of the stats, the only significant thing we have is that Brest has 4 more points of evasion and Agir has 3% more damage reduction, so if you ignore the fact that one has medium armor and the other heavy they are completely relative, although Agir still wins if the same auxiliary is equipped (Since the Vc plate additionally reduces 6% of the damage taken by AP ammunition and 3% of Normal or HE if it is equipped to a heavy armor ship like Agir)

Some cl can also do tanking depending on the levels (usually with a lot of aircraft carrier), where you need as many AA as you can get. Example is montplier which have damage reduction also boost damage to other cruiser. In 13-4 i use the lineup of montplier (retro), helena (retro), and san diego (retro). Planes doesn't edist anymore

Can anyone give me tips for my struggles in azur lane 1. Invested too much on Germans 2. Can make team comps very well 3. I've played for 3 years and still confused with the meta 4. Gear lab

How about Kronshtadt? Is she good? I have her but idk why my Roon is greater than Kronshtadt, is it because she need better equipment or is it just Roon is good
Kron is way better than Roon. Probably the differences in equipment and or levels. Please double check Kron's skills. some of it requires specific equipment
Kronk is definitely better at everything, especially offensively, but very event limited. Roon (both versions) are just super easy to acquire via merit shop/buying PR blueprints. Make sure to use her NP CB gun to satisfy both gear requirements at once or use a NP CL gun with any AP CB gun.

Roon μ is also god tier
She was my main tank until Anchorage and Agir came out.

DD is Destroyers, CA is the big tank he is talking about and CVs are Aircraft Carriers.
CB = Large Cruiser
CA = Heavy Cruiser
CL = Light Cruiser
CVL = Carrier Vessel Light
CV = Carrier Vessel
DD = Destroyer
BB = Battleships
BBV = BattleshipsVessel
