Honestly I always like how humble ebbers is. He is a really good cook but he knows when someone did better than him. Like in this here - it was clear from when he started to eat james' dish he basically said james had won. Honestly - good job to both tho. Shame I couldnt try any of it. :D

Perhaps the lads can try a new format: The Normals are given a community-chosen dish to eat. Afterwards, they have to identify the ingredients that went into the dish. Next, they must make up and write a recipe for the Chefs to follow, just based on visuals and taste. The Normal with the best/closest dish possible wins.
Have to compliment the team on upping their mystery box game: so far I’ve seen two mystery boxes where Ben didn’t know all ingredients initially. A true mystery!
haha true but he once again shows how you should taste something to get a general idea of how to use it when you're winging it. just like with the episodes where they switch around. it's something where barry sometimes goes wrong on, just taste the damn thing already :)

LOVE to see James back! I really miss seeing him often, but he seems to be very satisfied now. He just seems to have some new energy and spark, so I'm happy for him and wishing him all the best! Okay question that's been bothering me for a while: if these are done consecutively, is the first dish cold by the time they get to the tasting? Do they keep it in the oven on low or something, and does that make any difference?
By the time they've done the photography both are cold. It's true of almost every cooking show. The only time it will be eaten hot is when they do staggered start times or if they're serving it straight to guests.
Ive heard them say ‘lets eat it while its hot’ a few times, so to me this definitely implies the fact that it’s usually cold when they eat it because of the photos they take :)
Knowing that Ben took "james' plate" makes me aware that Ben cooked first. I like knowing that and I was wondering if you could let us know more often for these types of challenges?

My favourite thing about the Chef vs Chef series is how it pushes each chef to step it up and be better. A friendly competition between experts is such a fun thing to see.

I like it when James comes back. It kind of has the feeling of all of your sons coming together for the first time in years (and James is the one who lives in Australia so finds it difficult to return frequently). I like having the sons all back together. I do not have children.

I was not expecting James to be back this frequently, and to be honest I am LOVING it.
I looked at the greens and went "METHI!". Fenugreek leaves or methi is a staple in Indian cooking and one of my favourite ingredients to play with!

I just started watching SortedFood videos and Jamie and Mike commenting on the side really helps viewers “get” the food. Also I love their dynamics.

instead of watching this after dinner and then craving healthy and delicious looking food, i instead watched this beforehand and now made my own 'normals' version of this dish realising i had plenty butter beans and leeks lying around. so thank you! going to eat now~

To see James and Ben cook my eyes went yippee and my ears went arrrrrhh and my heart went Yessss. So so good to see James again. I hope his life is all he wants and all he needs. Also I hope all of you got some much needed quality time together.

I like it when James comes back. It kind of has the feeling of all of your sons coming together for the first time in years (and James is the one who lives in Australia so finds it difficult to return frequently). I like having the sons all back together.

Thank you James for making a "guest appearance". Good battle, I like the format of having to use everything in the box and some items being unknown. Time to have the normals take a whack at that. Maybe a little Epazote in the box, which I have never seen you guys use.
