  • Less is more: how reducing practice and training volume can lead to improves speed & performance. Stop detraining speed and athleticism with fatigue, tired athletes. Traditional conditioning detrains many of the qualities of athleticism that should be the priority. Across all sports, the training of the CNS through speed work, lifting, jumping, and bounce should be the priority in all training. Tired is the enemy, not the goal!

Hi Coach Holler. Been watching some of your videos, recently the one on front and back side mechanics. one thing you have said is not to show your sole/soul to jesus, ie while recovering the foot from back to front side mechanics don't have the bottom of the foot face up. Initially this made sense but when I watch Usain Bolts world record sprint he and the other top level sprinters DO show the bottoms of their feet up. I'm just a little confused I suppose. I am an aspiring track coach and would like to hear the input of someone far more experienced than me such as yourself

Generally speaking, you want to be more FRONTSIDE than BACKSIDE.
Big in the front, short in the back.
The trail leg can’t linger behind you, needs to snap quickly to the front.
