3:33 Absolutely agree. Focusing on squatting and deadlifting lead to me developing tight hips and slow, movement. Eventually I was able to fix them with some plyos and such. Favorite one being a jumping leg split.
Coach H..after 40+ yrs coaxhing football.have converteda MS football team to STC,totally..one question..we start in pads this week( pre-season is over) to continue atomic & x factor work i figurevhave hemet & sh pads of this time period..?thank you for all you have done and continue to do for all sports
Hi coach, iam new to the feed the cat methode but i did understand its meaning i just have a hard time creating a program that unclude sprints days , x factor days, and weight training) i play soccer and i want you to suggest one or two of your programs that covers this keep in mind iam not bound to specific training i train by my self. Thank you
@@ilyasbob8651 Do the Atomic Speed Workout 2-3 times a week (15 min). Do X-Factor work 1-2 times a week (20 min) You could stack X on top of speed workout. Lift 3 times a week (30 min) … never prior to speed work.
Is it ok to start my sprinting journey on a slight inclined paved surface? What shoe would you recommend(carbon plate or no)? I am coming from Olympic weightlifting haven’t done any sprinting for 10 years probably.
@@Slambars94k I would go through the motions for awhile. Simply survive the Atomic Speed Workout. Buy sprint spikes after 4-6 weeks of training in running shoes. Play the long game.
@@eclipsewrecker I am DISAGREEING in the guy’s take there are quad and hip dominant sprinters. Sprinters are humans that wear track spikes and run fast, getting timed.

@@1Coachmass not sure of your question.
@coachtonyholler sorry Coach to do atomic & Xfactor the players should be at least without helmet and shoulder pads to perform them properly?

Thanks Coach for your help.
@@coachtonyhollerI am unfamiliar with the x factor work could you clarify what it consists of?
@@johnwong7027 Exercises that improve speed.

Sprinting is a form of plyometrics.
That’s not always true. Some big time jumpers aren’t that fast. They’re excessively quad dominant as opposed to top sprinters that are hip dominant
@@kevinsutube1p528 Nothing is “ALWAYS TRUE”.
BTW, no such thing as hip dominant and quad dominant sprinters.
@@coachtonyhollerwhat do you mean by “dominant, and what do you mean by “sprinter?”

@@coachtonyholler thanks for clarifying. I wasn’t positive that it was a “real men are,” comment or not. That helped.
@@coachtonyholler yeah there is. Like how female athletes are generally more quad dominant.
