Great looking heads! Those ports on the EC head are impressive! I'm still in love with that MoFlow billet head but the EC is looking better all the time!

I agree but I think the MoFlow coming with springs and retainers and having a CNC chamber might be a nicer head. Higher velocity anyway. I’m saving the EC head for a 3” bore motor, gotta get a matching intake and possibly a bigger carb like a 34mm. Give me a few hours, I think you’ll like my notes on rockers and I’m sure you’ll love the new bike!

Great video! The shredder casting is also a great platform for a big valve head

Thanks brother, I’ll look for the shredder. The gage heads can be made into screamers as well.

I need to correct myself guys, the EC intake is 33mm, not 32!

My EC head would not work with a 72mm bore, had to go with a 76 mm block. Head was pretty rough.

What didn’t work? Chamber? Valve location? That really sucks.

@@mitzu8386 damn, next time you have it off, please message me. I’m going to take a few pictures of mine with different size head gaskets on the dowel pins to see what works. I’d be interested to see if their cores are shifting around. Sometimes the molds get dropped at the foundry or they need tuning.

@@peterchristlieb I heard a few people say the chamber on the EVO is bigger than the 2.835 bore (72mm) but mine had room to spare. Not sure how they would differ in chamber size or why but it wasn't an issue with mine. I will say they are by no means bolt on ready but they are a great platform to start with.

@@josephhardwick6910 Mine is a good match for the 72mm bore, it cleaned up really nice after porting and I figure on a big enough motor it should work well. Two people have told me the seats can be an issue but you never know how hot these things were getting or if they were detonating like crazy. I’m going to limit mine to methanol use

    • @peterchristlieb

Because anyone can buy a motorcycle engine and mount it to a frame. Not everyone can build a combination that makes power and doesn’t blow up.

@@Bitplanebrother Not at all brother, a motorcycle engine is obviously a better option but who’s going to race you? A mini bike with 1 speed and a gx200 clone levels the playing field, forces you to get creative and makes for a challenge. It’s a simple enough platform, pretty reliable and cheap enough that anyone can build one and be competitive. There’s lots of stock bore and stock valve tournaments.
