I was there. What a fabulous show. It was the Highwaymen plus the Best of Cash, Best of Willie, Best of Waylon and Best of Kris. I think the individual performances were extra good because they got to rest up a bit for solos and each wanted to show the other ones that they still had it and could keep up the energy of the audience. It was also a larger venue with a bigger crowd than any of them would play in front of on their solo tours
Loving this. I miss Johnny the most. My last deployment to Iraq is when he died. We played his songs all the way through. That was 2002. 18 years ago. Hard to believe it has been that long. RIP and Fair Winds Johnny.

I point to Ring of Fire and say without a doubt that it’s the song that made me fall in love with Johnny’s music. I played it until it had burned into my memory for all time.
Ain't nobody got a voice like Johnny Cash and never will. I could still hear the chug-a-lug in this song. Johnny's riding that old steam engine in heaven. I hope when I get there,he will pick me up and we can ride together.
They are so good, it legit sounds like a studio recording and not a live act. Wish I was there, grew up 10 mins from the coliseum but I was only 10 yrs old at that time.
When you can listen to music and singing with your eyes shut and enjoy it then you know its powerful , No flashing lights no jumping around just pure country music
I love how they always did each other's songs, and their own band's songs too. Normally whenever they sing it at a concert, they don't sing it quite how they did in the studio, and it's normally a faster manner of singing. This is one of the few times an artist sang it a bit differently than the usual recording versions you find, and still mastered it.
Johnny Cash raisin that eyebrow at the end, he knows how to entertain and make music, God bless the Highwaymen musical group, kings of country music, I miss Cash and Jennings.
