I love how down to earth she was , just beautiful.
June Carter Cash was beautiful inside and out.
That woman had a singing voice of an angel and she literally saved the life of Johnny Cash her husband They both were a match made in Heaven Rest in peace Johnny and June We will always love and miss you
You sound like a creepy ass fan
Yes exactly 💯
Her sister Anita Carter had a great voice should have become a major star in her own right, all of them legends
Being a baby Boomer, I'm glad I grew up when I did look what We've evolved into. A technological nightmare
I watch June Carter with her mother and sisters, on an old country show. And she was just a child ,And they were great. June Carter ,was a dancing machine .
June was the only remedy Johnny ever needed. Two wonderful people just made for each other.
Did she have sex with Johhny Carson? Was it before or after the show?
Honestly that is the best version ever!
No doubt, Johnny would agree.
Wish we had more of these shows and classy people to make them
I’m afraid the demon-crates ruined everything and I don’t know if it’s ever coming back 😢
That would require Hollywood to actually have talent and creativity, something that seems mostly lacking these days
@@MCW1955 I blame the ultra left and all those miserable groups that agitate the masses claiming “they are offended” about everything, including artistic development and culture.
Great
Walt Disney is spinning in his grave for what the left did to his empire
As a child of the 90s these old Carson shows are like a time capsule to a better world that existed before me. Thank you to whoever puts the work in to give people like me a glimpse into the past.
I'm glad I'm not the only child of the 90s enjoying these old Carson clips. Great stuff!
@@rogerklotz8 . Child of the 90's? HaHa!! That cracks me up! You little whippersnappers think you have lived. I was a child of the 50's. You babies have no clue what Johnny Carson (and let alone Jack Parr) was all about.
It was a joy to be able to watch these every now and then as they happened. Some I definitely remember and some I have only seen here, but they are all classics and I also offer my thanks for whoever is sharing these gems!!!
The World wasn't better in the Seventies. That's a Joke. I am Born in the mid Sixties. What was better? Vietnam War? Dirty Rivers? Watergate? The World was always bad because the Humans are a bunch of Idiots.
Looking back, it was a more gentile world…
I met June Carter once...she was so sweet. Rest in Peace June 🕊
You must be old
June Carter was such a beautiful person in every way !
Yes indeed! And as beautiful as e.g. Judith Durham (Australian).
If you ignore her mouth full of horse teeth
I grew up watching The Tonight Show, when Johnny retired, late night talk shows changed so much. He was the best!
She was so real and delightful.
She’s adorable! Just so natural, with no pretensions or airs. There’s an innocence about her that is not at all fake or put on. How refreshing!
yep
Really? I love her but
I always felt like she played the "airhead" SOMETIMES to entertain and be funny.
She represents the natural part of US für me 🙂 She is like a Robert Altman movie ... 🙂
Wow! She's such a beautiful soul!
AND REESE WITHERSPOON DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB PLAYING HER IN WALK IN THE LINE ........HER BEAUTIFUL SOUL IS TRULY FELT IN THIS VIDEO. I CAN SEE WHY JOHNNY CASH WAS BLOWN AWAY
June Carter Cash can put a smile on anyone's face - she really lights up the stage. Thanks so much for posting, this is really special.
She was a brilliant talent in her own right.
she was a huge star long before her husband was
She came from a very talented (and under acknowledged) family.
She's just the cutest lil ole thang! 💗 No wonder Johnny fell for her.
June Carter Cash had such a wonderful voice!.
Awesomeness!! 😎👍👌🍁
RIP June Carter and Johnny cash 😔
And Johnny Carson, too.
Talented and beautiful lady, I'm glad to see this show again.
Beautiful lady, beautiful voice, beautiful angel! ❤
Absolutely delightful and mesmerizing. I respect how Johnny just let June Carter be June Carter, personality and talent shining through.
I was blessed to see June, Johnny, and their ensemble perform two concerts in Boston in 1969 or 1970. What an amazing group of talented artists at the peak of their performing abilities. I will never forget those concerts.
It's easy to see why Johnny Cash was so deeply in love with her.
Her version of Ring of Fire is the best.
Her sister Anita Carters version was recorded first and is the best version of the song! ruclips.net/video/OlWGsaorj6U/видео.html
well, she did write it about falling for him when they were both married to others.
Iconic performance. May June Carter’s beautiful soul RIP.
June Carter Cash. Johnny Cash gave it up for her 100 per cent. Johnny knew she was a beautiful angel.
yeah he left 4 children and a wife for her. He devastated his family for her. June should have never messed with him. He was married when they met.
@@truckingwithtobee 👍
That’s just awesome! 👍😎👍
June is so sweet 🌸.. so funny, true and strong 💖
June is such a delight. She is most definitely a great performer ❤️🙏😊
The whole interview was a performance
Performer for sure.
June is not a delight she is a husband stealing Whole! Johnny Cash was married to a lovely woman named Vivian and June Chased Johnny relentlessly. And Vivian's four daughters do not like June because she was insulting their mother
@@cathycarlson12 Were you there? Did you know in 1956 while Johnny was married to Vivian, Johnny came back-stage at the Opry and told June that he was going to marry her like the first or second time that they met? They ended up getting married in 1968 12 years later and John was the one that chased June.
If Junes first husband Carl Smith didn't cheat and abandon their marriage while June was pregnant with Carlene in 1955, June would have still been married to him. June wanted her first marriage to work but Carl Smith was running around on her.
You are really one of the most ignorant people that has ever made a comment. June never chased John , it didn't happen that way. Read Marshall Grants (Johns bass player's book) book "I Was There" And Vivians daughters did like June. Johnny Cash ruined his own marriage by doing drugs and chasing other women before June and him got married.
@@cathycarlson12agreed, I wish people would quit putting her on a pedestal. Some of these country singers were no good
June Carter Cash was absolutely delightful. What a truly multi talented person she was.
OMG SHE CAN SING LIKE CRAZY!! I'M JEALOUS OF HER VOICE!! 😭💖💛
She’s so sweet, smart and funny too.
and really quick-witted
June never got enough credit she was so gentle
Ahhh the good old days! Thanks for the great memories! ♥
June Carter is definitely the queen of country and western music my other favorite was Patsy Cline.
How could you not love June Carter. She learned Carter picking from Mother Mabelle Carter, has an authentic country voice, and she's got a wonderful comedy sense.
Johnny Carson met his match when June Carter Cash was in dialogue with him.😅😅😅😅 Both have a great knack for wit.
What a dear lady. Love June Carter Cash!
June Carter Cash was quite a talent sensation herself! Really entertained by this installment of The Tonight Show. Ring of Fire is one of my favorite tunes, and June Carter Cash does a standing ovation performance of it here.💝❣️🎉🎉
When I was a little boy in the 1950s the most popular music for my family came from Mother Maybelle and The Carter Sisters, and June Carter was an important part of that group.
What a lovely woman! Easy to see why Johnny fell in love with June!
JUNE CARTER CASH WAS A BEAUTIFUL FROM THE INSIDE & OUTSIDE. I HAVE ALLWAS HAD RESPECT & LOVE FOR JOHNNY & JUNE.
GOOD CHRISTIAN PEOPLE.
WITH ALL THE RESPECT & LOVE. THANKS. 🙏✝️🙂
I was lucky enough to work on Stagecoach 86 with Johnny and June. They were the most humble super star couple you will ever meet
what an amazing lady - so much class - ignores when they are making fun and just moves forward
Awesome
She was so talented in every way, and such a class act as well. Thanks for posting, this made my night.
She is a great performer and has such a beautiful voice!
She was just amazing!!!!
BEST VERSION OF THE SONG I’VE EVER HEARD! Never cared much for those Tijuana trumpets
backing up the Man in Black. Found all that brass distracting. June Carter Cash’s music is pure
Country. Unlike “New Country,” you’ll never hear June’s songs being played in the supermarket.
Didnt know she wrote that 👍🏼
Me neither! Wow
With Merle Kilgore
I thought her sister wrote it.
@@frankdiscussion2069 Anita Carter recorded it as Love’s Ring Of Fire
What an incredibly lovely and talented woman! 🩵
In 1972, I was playing in a band with a guy called "Kevin Bloody Wilson" (Not his real name of course) My Wife Ann & I were with him for 4 years, He knew everybody & still does, Johnny & June Carter Cash were promoting an album, & they came along to a Prison show we did. One of life's Highlights for me. (much more but to much for here)
As in Folsom Prison? Lol I imagine you & your wife must have some pretty amazing stories to tell!!
OMG NO WAY!!! My dad always made me listen to EVERY CASH/BLOODY WILSON SONG… and now I love RUclips because maybe one day my dad can see this comment lol
@@HethMarie-1 yes so many great stories, we had great times, & still singing songs on youtube gib williamson
@@sumikolui7598 We had some great times mate
June - such an icon in her style - she is total class. What a great gal!
This is such a wonderful episode
These moments of magic on Johnnys show will never be gone, thanks to these videos we get. I wonder if times will ever be as good again ? Origins of Americana coming thru in spades here. Bless this show and all it gave us.
🥰❤️❤️🥰 I love her voice and everything about her!!😇🌺🌺😇 wishe she and Johnny cash was still here!💙💗
A gem !!!❤
Class and a lot of talent. Thats what comes to my mind seeing June in this spectacular video.
Ummm.❤️!!! She owns it. I have heard MANY VERSIONS of this song, but June owns it. That is beautiful!👏👏👏👏👏
June came from a musical family and her artistry (based on many hundreds of family performances) certainly shows through here. Her beloved husband Johnny Cash was absolutely devastated when June passed on in May 2003 - he would join her in spirit just a few months later. Cheers to their memory!
Love this song..❤..beautifully done June..
What a special lady. Such talent.
I love the banter between them! I love them both!
June did a superb rendition with only voice and guitar, then she showed her comic persona.
Brilliant lady!
She is a blessing!!
June was a true lady and a great entertainer! She is a saint for dealing with Cash. God bless her! ❤
June Carter was an amazing musician songwriter and singer❤️
What a beautiful charming down to earth woman !! Just as talented as anyone else in country music.
OMG. How lucky are we to see this?
Queen June Carter Cash! The Country Music Queen June Carter Cash! Ring of Fire! 10 ⭐️’s!
Loved June Carter, and Johnny and the Carter family. 🙏❤️❤️
June was so comical here on the show Carson touched her sleeve dress June said what are you doing ❤😂😂 Then another part Carson mentioned Hee Haw! Show 😂😂😂😂
Artists are quirky & wonderful 👏!!!
June was a great clown and real funny. Johnny's face is awesome
She mentioned her parents a little at the end, The Carter family, for those that don't know June's parents and extended family members were entertainers in the Gospel/folk/mountain music tradition. She was an entertainer her entire life along with her sisters. Her down to earth personality was genuine, not part of the act.
When I was younger this used to be one of my favorite songs I still love it.
That song on the Autoharp (?) was really cool! That June was just a tad quirky (in a good way), but adorable!! Johnny sure put her through a lot in the early days. Im so happy that the rest of their lives was a sweet love story!!! 💘
His first wife Vivian was erased from country music history by the Nashville crowd.
@@lindajones8101
😮
@@lindajones8101I just finished watching the documentary on Vivian given by her 4 daughters. What a heartbreaking story. I'm so happy her daughters have finally stood up & spoken up for their Mother!!!
Real Country and real music. June Carter is a part of the first family of Country Music. Give me old Country.
June was amazing
Simply beautiful
This was back when there were other stars like Johnny and June in country music. Our culture appreciated these musicians of unique talent, personal integrity, thoughtful manners and a delightful genuine sense of humor always! Love love June 💕💕💕
She was hilarious. God rest her. ❤
I didn't know that she wrote this song!! Sincere and talented.
She is so cute ! And very beautiful.🌸
She was a warm-hearted,,good ,soul ,,a loving person.
Never missed an episode
I loved June Carter Cash's beautiful singing voice, but I loved Johnny's singing MUCH better!
This lady ,such a treasure, was the ultimate wife and dàighter. Just a sweet talented spirit of grace
and beauty from the Carter lineage.
One of a kind woman
I miss June and Johnny. What a blessing to have had them Hell we are all just passing through.
Wow, June has music in her blood! 🎻🪕🪗🥁🪘
Most 🎶 musicians play music but some are natural born talent!🤠
God please keep June & Johnny Cash close to you! 🙏💞
June Carter Cash was always been a comedian ever since she was younger when she sung with her family The Carter Family.
I loved her so much!
"Ring Of Fire" was written by June Carter and Merle Kilgore (good friend of Hank Williams Jr.).
A classic performance and interview by a Great lady!!.
Watching this, I had the biggest smile!!
Beautiful work
She was a wholesome person.
When decent stars were for real .. respect. Quality people..
Lovely.
Sometimes the universe join two diamonds.
Best wishes from Argentina.
Wow now that I've seen the actual woman I've got to admit Reese did a good job portraying her...
