Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose
Nothin', don't mean nothin' hon' if it ain't free, no no
And, feelin' good was easy, Lord, when he sang the blues
You know, feelin' good was good enough for me
Good enough for me and my Bobby McGee

My wife and I were there, and it was one of best concerts that we ever attended. Thank you, Highway Men! I know that some of you have passed, but I will remember you all until my final day! God bless you all.
I wish I could have been there😭😭
Lucky sob's what a night you must've had watching these legends
I’m not jealous. I’m not jealous. I’m happy for you really. 😂😂
Congratulations on being able to see these legends perform together! I’m grateful we live in an age I can watch 40 years later.
Am so jealous you were there, what a concert!
How good is Willie at picking that guitar
Willie Nelson was definitely top 100 in the world.
This is the most talent ever amassed on the same stage. Could you imagine the price of concert tickets for this concert if it were today? These guys are just. naturally laid back doing what they were meant to do entertain. They are all in tune no fancy jewelry or clothes just a normal people. These want to be singers today could never keep up this is real country.
Yes yes and yes
sooooooooooooo true!
I just caught a look in Chris's face that says he's thinking how did i ever wind up with these 3 COOL Dudes. .man I'm living right.
Johnny, Willie, and Waylon all had individual hits on this song that Kris wrote.
I never realized that Kris Kristofferson wrote "Me and Bobby McGee!"
Not only that, but Kris is also a United States Army Captain, having served as a helicopter pilot and a qualified U.S. Army Ranger. A true American badass outlaw!
He wrote that about Janis Joplin. He was quite a interesting character. A Rhodes scholar, could’ve taught at West Point, and the list goes on
This is real country music
The BEST!
Oh yes
Legends on one stage, what I wouldn't give to have been there that night!
Me too
Watching this from Glasgow Scotland. Amazing
Kris K is one of the best song writers and story tellers that this world will ever know
Along with Robert Hunter and Bob Dylan
Paul Simon, John Prine, Joni Mitchell…
Jerry Reed
Carol King, please...
He led a remarkable life.
What makes them shine the most is they are real.
Kris K. Former US Marine officer, Oxford scholar, left the service at his 4 years were up. His dad disowned him. Wonder if they every spoke again. He has had one hell of a career, movies and music.
Army Officer
Thank you for sharing that. I had no idea. Respect.
There are lots and lots of performers. Kris fabulous *WRITING* of his own numerous songs is a work of Genius!
Convoy made me at a young age idolise him. Class guy!!
Kris was an Army Ranger along with helicopter pilot an Capt of that unit before resigning in 1965. He wasn't in favor of the Vietnam War. A man amongst men! 💪👍😎
Thank you for being among us.❤
"From the coal mines of Kentucky to the California Sun"
What a line. And delivered with perfection!
From one side of the country to the other as well as from dark to light. Truly brilliant writing saying so much so simply
Waymore = ❤😂🎉😅😊
He had that harmonica SMOKIN'.👍👍👍
The guy on harmonica is pretty special. Could listen to him all day long.
Mickey Rafael was Willie's brother-in-law at one rime.
He is so very very good ❤ 4:12
-
The true country music. Music forever.
Yes Guys, your'right. Rockabilly, Rock and Roll, Blues and Country Music will never died. Hi from France.
The harmonica player needs LOTS more recognition for his excellent work!!!!!!
👌👌👌
Mickey Raphael on harp!! Always the best. /CD
AGREE..Mickey sure gets it done!! Best I have ever heard!!!
ursel doran - he sure does, I am surprised he doesn’t get more attention he is in all the best Videos
Mickey Raphael has been playing the harp with Willie Nelson’s band since 1973 (7,000 shows).
I give a big heck yeah to this. I'm still listening in 2024
Me too!!!
We will never see anything with as much class as these 4 legends ever again❤
Every decade gives us great people. We just miss it sometimes bc its not our jam.
The best of the best.
for sure
@🎉rapier1954
😅
The way Waylon booms "From the coalmines of Kentucky to the California Sun" is just phenomenal
Idem for Cash
You might want to give a listen to Waylon live, from 1975, it is my favorite version and Waylon is at his peak. It’s my favorite version of me and Bobby McGee.
Amazing isn't it
Thanks so much for the love ❤️ I really appreciate, I hope you will never stop listen to my music 🎶.. If you don’t mind kindly drop me your google chat just to get in touch with you
Legends. I’ll trade all my tomorrow’s for one single yesterday.
What a life Kris has had! We should all be so lucky!
I had the honor to watch these men sing in concert with Merle Haggard opening for them. Was amazing
FIVE legends to me...Mickey Raphael on harmonica was every bit as crucial to this wonderful collaboration of musicians. Music will never be as good as this again.
Six :) please, do count Reggie Young
Lisa Miller you got that spot on he is amazing talent
You are sure right with this comment.
You have not heard Neil Diamond's Hot August Night.
I believe this Mickey showed up playing tunes with Neil Young and Willie Nelson at a Farm Aid concert.
The person playing the harmonica is a legend.
Yes, he is! Truly fabulous. Has been with Willie Nelson for more than 40 years, I just read. And doing lots of other stuff, too. Sorry I can't provide his name. Only heard it a couple of times recently, and it hasn't "stuck" yet.
Great if he had a name. Perhaps you can enlighten me?.
From the U.k...I thought I knew my music . I know this song but never herd it performed this way . Just brilliant ! This is 2023 and I'm now seventy six and don't really listen to this modern stuff... but what I do know they don't write and performs song like this anymore . Pure perfection . This song will never die ,..... know matter what !
Got a year on u. I think these 4 are the best country musicians there ever were.
This was the first song, Kris K., wrote preformed by Janis Joplin.
This is the guy who wrote it. Kris kristophersen. One of the few to actually deserve the title "Legend" and of course, Willy, Waylon and Johnny C. What more can be said!
Look at Kris, the smile on his face as his song is being sung by some of the best musicians ever!!!
I agree, Apsco---Kris has always appreciated that his efforts were appreciated by his talented friends.
Kris is so handsome even today at his age
@@annettespencer8154gotta admit you’re right. Good looking old dude. Talented beyond belief too I personally think his voice has gotten better with age
Including himself. He’s got a great voice
@@nobodyspecial6513 ciao amico! 🙋♀️😍😘💘🍀
They are music, they have made people's lives much better with their music
Four giants, no egos, amazing songs, world class band. It can't be bettered.
Well said. Love their songs. Love country music. Couldn’t be better.
Voices heaven
I just love the smile on Kris' face all the way through! Johhmy Cash' voice compliments Kris' so well!
Yeah he's absolutely loving it !!!!!
Peak country songs 🐐
Mark my words folks. There will never be another era in country music with the talent gathered on one stage than that of the American Outlaws!
My mom in law had never been 2 a concert and Itiok her k. Roger's was there too and she came just as they were escorting him 2 the stage
@@roxanedavis957 great country music love it
The musicians of today would not lace the shoes of that gang they were perfection at its best 👌👌🇨🇮🇨🇮
Is the best of the free life behind us now, and are the good times really over for good? Stop rolling downhill with the democrats heading for hell, let's all reelect President Trump and ring the Liberty bell, let's make a ford and a Chevy run on Affordable American oil like they should
❤️❤️🏴🏴
Is it fair to say that this Highwaymen concert in 1990 was one of the greatest live shows of the entire 20th century?
i just can't get enough of it. Truly as someone said, the Mount Rushmore of country.
Yes I agree and I am English. Always playing it.
Aye has to be one of the greats of all time what would we give to see them live tomorrow? Just 2 left now Willie never got the credit he deserved
Absolutely concur , he swept floors and helicopters
Kris and Willie, hang in for us.
Wish l could of met them , but l can say Johnny Cash came to NL and somebody here had a rare moment that was never forgotten.
For those of us who grew up in the golden era of music, this provides chills and memories beyond belief. 😍😍
george jones sang "whose gonna take their place" looks like NOBODY, so sad.
they just don"T MAKE THEM LIKE THAT ANYMORE. why?
Enjoy people, don’t think we will ever have another talent on stage as the highwaymen again !

The Traveling Wilbury's? It's a tough call.
You got that right!....
Absolutely never can be duplicated! The Highwaymen were special!!!❤️
I am an old Englishman and my God, how I wish that I had been at this concert. Legends giving everyone the best of themselves. What a night that was for those who were there.
Best artists on one stage-Waylon, Willie, Johnny, Kris & Mickey!! Thank you for the memories!!
That's why Trump can't sing just talks bullshit, bone spurs is his sorry song.
Thanks for adding Mickey to your cudos!
Что-то из области фантастики, больше не будет такого
They are fabulous, but their backing are fantastic as well.👏👏🎶🎶

I wanted to reply with something, but you already said it.👍
Can’t beat that
Watching legends
Kris K has got to be one of the coolest dudes on the planet.
Together with Waylon, Willie & Johnny? That's a level of cool I can't even begin to understand.
I was there!!!!!!
From France . You Was Lucky.
When God said…”let me put four great musicians together and make everybody happy”….❤️😀👍
Yep ....I said it alright.
The Highway Men. No one will be ever this great.
At the risk of sounding arrogant
I am
There Will Never Be Another One Of These Four There Are The Greatest of All Time
This song is important.
The man on harmonica is just brilliant
That's Mickey Raphael. He's been with Willie for 47 years now and has done over 7,000 shows.
You know I always think so to.
The best I've ever seem
and he's still going strong

UNRIVALLED
We were fortunate to see their show in the 90`s,the biggest roar from the crowd was when Johnny was introduced, then unexpectedly June came out to join her husband.Unforgettable show.
Kris is a genius. Thank you, sir, for enriching my life.
Without a doubt my favorite boyband.
Battling cancer. This is my favourite song!❤❤❤❤
music royality at its best
"Freedom just another word for nothin left to lose" is one of the best lines i heard in a song
Amen to that!
Thank you janis...
"I'd trade all my tomorrows for one single yesterday"
I bet.
Chris Kristofferson wrote this song in 1969.
I am old very old, been bombed, shot at, poor surroundings but always loved music. Big bands, rock n roll Beatles, me. Modern, Country. But these four are something else. Never tire of listening, watching,(thanks tomofrrn technology)They are the best in my lifetime. Thank you Highwaymen.God bless you all.
They were the best! There are no enough words or comments! Thanks to all of them! I'm so grateful.🎩
Diese Formation das war die Beste in seiner Zeit.❤
Those who were lucky enough to be part of this concert have undoubtedly got their money's worth! What a magnificent performance! And what a legacy to the fans.

Fantastic!
Yep

Perhaps the greatest show on earth.
I would trade all my tomorrows to be able to watch these giants live one more time
The best of the best singing one of the best songs ever written
The best of the best.
Kris once stated that he does not have a great voice. He was quite correct it isn't great it's fantastic. He was born to do this stuff.
He sings 1,000,000 times better than me!
Wow, ONE OF THE BEST BANDS EVER, SINGING A GREAT SONG! John P.
Nice to listen to them ❤ from Albania 🇦🇱.
Takk for den fine spillelisten
These men were stars in their own right, and elected to perform together, leaving egos at home. We're better for it.
You're right
Yes, and aren’t we the lucky ones, they are magic 🎶🎶
Waylon respecting Willie warms the soul..
Yyq
The soundtrack of my life
We love It.We miss them.,make me sad, good memories.
I call them legends of country music. They always make me happy.
There will never be this many superstars of country music in their own rights assembled on the same stage! Damn I wish I was a teenager in this era so I could go to all these concerts! 🙌🏾🤩
Some us weren't teenagers
Me too
Real men! Real music!!!!
Over 30 years ago and Trigger is still going strong. 😁😁😁
Trigger needs her own spot in the Country Music Hall of Fame. 70 decades of providing music is truly something.
"Nothing ain't worth nothing, but it's free"
This is the America the world loved, why we have lost it?.
One word: COMMIES
I'm not American but yes I agree
New time, new generation but thanks for RUclips, we can still watch the greats..
Boromir Smith The only influence that has changed the culture of America for the worse in the last three decades is fascism.
Love seeing and hearing them all together
I never realized how great this song was until I heard this version.
Hard to believe this band really ever came together...a musical miracle
Super super
Country music at its best.great sound thanks band .u/k x😊😊
I am in the hospital just coming out of major invasive foot surgery . Very painful and listening to your rendition helps me endure the pain. I am 73 yoa and things like this not as easy to endure. Ian would be proud.
I am South African. It is nice to see the best of the best all together. Period, I do not think we will ever see this again. Save this one.
When you have the best musicians on the planet magic happens.
I Wish i could turn back time, just to hear them live one time.
Same here.
@Oscar Hester look at it this way Oscar, what you are seeing and listening to will forever live in RUclips and can be listened to again and again.
Anita Veka I wasn’t even born 😭
I got to see them all in concert.
I'd have give both my right and left 🤔.. nut (😲your what !?..lol ) to have seen them live ... but was in the Navy in Japan when they toured 😞
Four people enjoying playing, entertaining and each others company, no egos getting in the way, good times and great music. Where did these times go?
amen
Probably buried under a pile of bad music
These times are gone forever, except on replay. It’s snowflakes from here on out, ha ha! Get used to canned country music, or better yet, flip back to the past.
I couldn’t of said it any better.
These guys would be Patriots singing for President Trump if they were alive together.
From a Retired old Pastor from Australia
To heaven and they will stay there😁
Absolutely awesome.
ALLWAYS LEGENDS
For five minutes the time stands still...
So what?? You don't get this anymore....
True!! To me, this is a celebration of the song!!! Love it!!
la musica non ha confini
loro sono legenda!!!!!!!!!!
un saluto dall' italia al popolo americano
It is wonderful, once a time in my life, to feel the time stands still. Listening to the beatuy of the music that I love.
l
Best country group by far, I'm 22 and love these guys, Wish i could have been there to see them perform
This reminds me of the movie 'Cal' & an Irish friend with whom I've lost contact. I hope you're happy old friend.
These cats were tight. Genuine love, admiration, and respect.
The four Giants.. I wish I could turn back time and sit in the first row. There will never be 4 giants like them anymore. They are not just playing country music like no one else, they are country music. I, m so glad that we still have Kris and Willie. RIP Waylon and Johnny..
Amen to that, who would be today's Highwaymen ? Will never be matched I think 🙂
They were brilliant!!
tal cual, pienso igual, son y serán únicos!!!!
I wish I could belly up to a bar, and buy them all a beer, then, I could die happy and content...!
Amen ,,,
Perfection, right there. Sadly, we might never see this level of excellence repeated..
I used to sing this song to my Children at bedtime when they were babies. Brings tears to my eyes.
I would give my right arm to have been at this gig. ❤️❤️🙏
I did the same. Sang it to my daughter when she was a baby to get her to sleep
“Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose,
nothing ain’t worth nothing but it’s free,
(and it cost nothing). WHAT BRILLIANT WORDS!
Imortais!
So glad these icons got together to form the best country band ever
Crazy how authentic the music was back then! Real instruments and real voices, so powerful. I could listen to them all day.
Sounds good
Hello how are you doing today?😊
This talent can never be done again
