I would have died and gone to heaven to be there for this and so many more..must admit Bob Dylan's 30 anniversary concert in the early 90's is my biggest regret not being there..George Harrison, Roger McGuinn, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Tom Petty all on stage together would have been the pinnacle!! 🙂↕️

This was the first song, Kris K., wrote preformed by Janis Joplin.
This is the guy who wrote it. Kris kristophersen. One of the few to actually deserve the title "Legend" and of course, Willy, Waylon and Johnny C. What more can be said!
And since Kris wrote it, it makes the performance even more special. He once said he had a voice like a frog, but he loved to sing anyway. I love that he overcame that and sang with the Highwaymen. He's right, it's not opera quality, but it's him and he is a wonderful and talented human.
Thank God for RUclips to keep the magic going!!!!! Will ever be greatful. I am in a hospital bed listening to this, from having a mild stroke and this is so therapeutic!

Not only that, but Kris is also a United States Army Captain, having served as a helicopter pilot and a qualified U.S. Army Ranger. A true American badass outlaw!
He wrote that about Janis Joplin. He was quite a interesting character. A Rhodes scholar, could’ve taught at West Point, and the list goes on

Any artist who has the privilege of adaptating his music for their own deserves the feeling of belonging and the journey to greatness that is given through his preserving lines that stay great, relevant and true to this day and many more days to come.
