I have believed for a long time that Kris Kristofferson is and will remain one of the great poets of our time. His lyrics dive deep into the heart. His music resounds and the lyrics touch the soul. Thank you sir.

Well written comment, Robert. Your words captured Mr. Kristofferson's genius. His writing touches our soul with or without the music. The music just gives the words another layer. Thank you again for the comment, sir.

kristofferson can find a truth , give it a voice and a simple melody , and suddenly there is a vision of something brittle, ragged, and holy . this is the mark of a true poet .

The life of Kris is an example to everyone to follow your follow your dreams, to turn your back on a successful army career, give it all up to work as a janitor to try and meet Johnny Cash and hopefully get him to sing his songs. His music has been part of my life since 1970 and I feel blessed to have heard it.

Well like this we surely will, because their voices in this altered reuploaded version have been tempered with. Unfortunately because of reuploaded autotuned and pitch corrected old live performances like this by the anti-human record companies, their real live performances and how they really sounded live will soon be forgotten as all original material is being replaced as we speak. This is unfortunately an altered dehumanized version.

I was in my early-mid 20's in the early 90's going to Vegas, the river, Palm Springs, etc with a big great group of friends, and not much of a care in the world. Listening to Willie on the Colorado River early am, or at dusk, with the beautiful red rock formations and glass water is an experience in itself that almost seems religious. I know you shouldn't think too much on the past, but (IMO) something is F ing missing in society today, and I believe it's because with todays technology, people are not as reliant on other people and we seem to be forgetting that strong friendships/bonds with one another is a much more important thing, in terms of a persons well being than anything material, or having a large # of followers on your channel!

It’s March 3, 2022. Our world is a mess. An utter, complete mess. I’m so sad. I come to videos like this because they remind me of a childhood when I was happy and free. My heart breaks knowing my children will never understand what it feels like to not be tied to technology, when kids played in the streets and came home for supper, a few channels on TV, when the nightly news was NEWS... and old shows with music and laughter brought families together once a week. Saturday morning cartoons and soccer games. When burgers, fries , and ice cream were a special treat.... and .25 cents.
I’m full of tears today. I yearn for the beautiful life of not that long ago. For myself, for my children, for all of the worlds children.

I've seen the morning burning golden on the mountains in the skies
Aching with the feeling of the freedom of an eagle when she flies
Turning on the world the way she smiles upon my soul as I lay diing
Healing with the colors of the sunshine and the shadow of her eyes
Waking in the morning to the feeling of her fingers on my skin
Wiping out the traces of the people and the places that I've been
    Teaching me that yesterday was
Something that I never thought of trying
Talking about tomorrow and the money love and time we'd have to spend
Loving her was easier than anything I'll ever do again
Coming close together with a feeling
That I've never know before, in my time
She ain't afraid to be a woman or afraid to be a friend
I don't know the answer to the easy
Way she opens every door in my mind
Dreaming was as easy as believing it was never gonna end
Loving her was easier than anything I'll ever do again
