Can we just comment on how well the four blended together -effortlessly? Doing Johnny's songs uniquely their own way but in unison; a beautiful bow to the Man in Black. This was awesome

You guys are smoking crack. Willie's voice is what makes "the highwayman" song so damn iconic. Larry's voice is so far off the other 3 it doesn't harmonize well. I spose I'll agree to disagree.
We have nothing like this in the UK and even in America you really have to come from the Southern States to have that marvellous twang to your voice, a beautiful accent I could listen to it all day. Wonderful music made by four wonderful men, love all four of you, I don’t think I can choose who I prefer, whose voice I prefer, I think it’s a toss up between Johnny and Waylon or maybe Kris or Larry, see I can’t make up my mind. 🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧🏴

I don't know when this took place and was surprised to see Larry Gatlin singing with the other three.......I never knew he did....... but he did an excellent job, his voice blended beautifully. They all are so talented and loved by so many.

He hosts the Opry now and is always great. Still has an amazing voice at his age.
Larry was never an outlaw, as Kris, Waylon, and Johnny were. His style is different, but blends well with the rest.

These two songs were Johnny's "rock n roll" hits from the 50s. I walk the line was from Sun Records days. I remember it from when I was a kid. Ring of Fire came along in the 60s when I was a teen.

Jessie Colter's book is one of the finest autobiographies I have ever read. Thankfully, Waylon, after a genuine party life, came to peace with God in Jesus Christ. Johnny, of course, is enjoying his retirement thoroughly.
All four of these men are in Christ - either with Him in Heaven (Johnny and Waylon) or walking with Him here on earth (Kris and Larry). Their lives teach us we do not need to be perfect to be in Christ, we just repent and choose every day to follow Him afterward.

What great legends! The way they were before they were The Highwaymen, minus Willie Nelson and the addition of Larry Gatlin! They sounded so awesome together but they were also awesome individually! They mostly came from rural backgrounds, spent their childhoods in The Depression and wartime and so were witness to those who had lived hard lives both in their respective families and the people they knew! Then there were the struggles that they faced in their own lives! It was so well reflected in their music! They were singing about their real lives and that was what made their music so intriguing to me! Country music 🎶 has been a big part of my life ever since I first heard it when I was a baby laying in my crib at night and hearing artists like Tom T Hall, Hank Williams and Charley Pride on the stereo in the living room! Thanks to my Dad for being a country music fan! These artists are either in their twilight years or have passed away now, they were very unique and special people! We shall never see their like again! Many thanks to all the people who have uploaded these videos on RUclips! We are eternally grateful to you!👍

Too damn pretty of a voice on Larry. This sort of country is better imperfect. That is why Willie fit better as a highwayman. Something gritty about their voices that larry's doesn't have. Imo

@@kurtyoung5788 Do a search for the Gatlin Brothers. All the Gold in California was a pretty successful song. Larry was also part of Kris' entourage in the 1970s. He may not have been in the same fame category, but he had his share of country music success. Enjoy!

No he actually spoiled it for me. Outlaw country is best done with a rougher sound. That's why Willie fit so much better. Larry's is too pretty sounding, doesn't fit.
