Its literally couldn't be clearer. Just like I said this show has nothing to do with Deadpool and Wolverine, that it was never going to be Cassandra Nova. This has nothing to do with kang. Its Apocalypse . Its really simple Apocalypse removed the Xmen of the boarded . So there was noone left to oppose him in 1997, hence why he made Gambit horseman of Death. He will most like to use the mutants who are left for the remaining 3. Its a pretty straightforward move with human hating mutants. The best time to get mutants to turn against all humans without the xmen to step in

Good video but if they made Hugh Jackman the Wolverine from X-Men 97 it would be the dumbest move ever. It would be disrespectful to the actors, and disrespectful to the audience who fell in love with those versions. The animated version of these characters are far superior to any of the live action ones. This channel keeps acting like the animated universe is somehow not part of the MCU unless it goes live action, and then connects to the other movies. Just enjoy it for what it is. Shit like this is why we keep getting Disney live action remakes. Also the show has at least another 2 seasons, so I think we can definitely say their universe isn't destroyed.
So, Apocalypse wasn't on a mission to eradicate psychics in _Beyond Good and Evil,_ but rather to sacrifice them in order to destroy time.

I like the premise: the X-men in the future have to help Kang defeat Apocalypse and the X-men in the past have to help Apocalypse defeat Kang. 🤯 that would be 🔥.
Plot twist: they haven't told us they're two different universes on course for collision (just a theory of mine)

There's a way that could explain how the X-Men got time displaced without invoking Kang at all. When Bastion absorbed Cable's mechanical arm, that was the arm that housed his time cube navigator. When Bastion flew too close to the nuclear reactor the energy could've disrupted the time flow causing Asteroid M to be shattered across time.
That's the likely explanation. We'll probably still see Kang (Rama Tut and Immortus) since they're tied to Apocalypse. But they won't be the MCU versions or have anything to do with the Multiverse saga.
Xmen 97 is everything i loved about the old Xmen animated series ,and more.

What a phenomenal season of Marvel Television! This season and finale were absolutely incredible, and it really had it all! Great writing, jaw-dropping animation, masterful music, amazing voice acting performances, brilliant pacing, respect for the original source material/90s animated series, and lots of fun/really cool Cameos and Easter Eggs for the fans to enjoy! I'm so excited/hyped for Season 2 and will be counting down the days! This finale and the whole season get a 100/10 from me!

Not only did beau demayo already confirm that Wolverine n morph are in the future with Jean and cyclops, but he also said Deadpool was off limits bc he’s being used in live action. They also confirmed a bit back that this does not tie into the mcu, even tho they considered it earlier on, it’s not. But yeah above all it’s for sure not the same Wolverine as the one here lost his adamantium and also didn’t fail his world in any real way, he basically died trying to be the hero

Yep. I was giving them a chance that Majors on the thumbnail might just be a normie-friendly image for animated Kang/Immortus/Rama-Tut, but as soon as 0:24 they brought up the MCU's multiverse saga again despite the statements you've mentioned, I went "Bye, Felicia," paused the video, downvoted it, and went on a short trip through the comments looking for one like yours.
For once I just want the MCU and 97 to be it's own thing!
I think the presence of Iron Man and Captain America in the finale is a clear and obvious indicator that this is not within the MCU. MCU Captain America was still frozen in the late nineties. MCU Tony Stark had not become Iron Man yet. I am fine with a live action X-Men joining the MCU but I would much prefer the Animated series to just stand on it's own.

I heard a great theory that Rogue will get the real Remy back by saying "Your name's Gambit, remember it." Also supported by Gambit's love for her being what kept him from crossing the line when he was Apocalypse's horseman.
Also when Beau DeMayo mentioned Age of Apocalypse at one point he mentioned Rogue and Magneto having a kid in that story which would obviously further complicate things since Rogue still loves Gambit.

This series is one of the best I've seen in so long! It keeps getting better and better.

And is completely wrong about the MCU being tied to X-Men 97, but keeps claiming it, despite the fact a 5 minute Google search would prove him wrong. Now in all fairness, once upon a time The Flash was good, but like all Arrowverse shows it suffered from not knowing when to quit and made the same mistakes as Arrow. It tried to run too many characters, most of whom no one cared about, overloaded with too many side stories, ran itself into the ground, and became hot garbage. Even Legends of Tomorrow, which never took itself seriously, went one season too long. This problem of too many characters bogging down the show and creating messy subplots would plague all the Arrowverse shows because someone on the chain never learned from previous failures.

The main problem with your theory, is that X-men 97 is confirmed by the creators and Kevin Feige that it is NOT canon for or connected to the MCU. They have considered it multiple times but have left X-men '97 and X-men TAS as their own thing. While they do use MCU related things for familiarity purposes, they are not in any way connected. Now I wouldn't rule out Kang being the one messing around with time, but in the comics, the X-men have traditionally not had much (or any I'm aware of but there's a lot of material post the 90s I don't know much about) contact with Kang. But since Immortus has been in the series already, and established as a character, yes this is possibly (and very likely) his doing. The X-men will come to the MCU in 2025, but that will be it's own story unrelated to X-Men '97. A simple internet search would prove that it is not tied to ANY MCU movie. It took me about 5 minutes on Google to find several sources stating as such from Feige and the creators themselves, that it was considered and ultimately decided against.

I agree xmen 97 should be its own thing. But I also agree that Marvel should bring some of that to the MCU, learn from the success of the show. If they are doing an X-Men live action, it should definitively be based on the success of 97 and even with similar Arcs, its a multiverse after all and it does not mean it has to be the exact same timeline. The animation can diverge to its own thing, while live action can follow a different path. Marvel is desperate for a hit, and they should have already taken notes of what works (hopefully) bring some of that to a live action X-Men and you cant fail. The problem is who they put in charge, will they be filling checkboxes, or would they change course and hire people passionate for the source material?
You're correct on what Feige said. But you have to take what he said with a grain of salt for a couple of reasons. First, it wouldn't be the first time Feige said something about the shows that wasn't completely true. Prior to WandaVision coming out, Feige said that MCU fans wouldn't have to watch the shows to Continue understanding the continuity of the movies. We know now that's not completely true. With WandaVision being pretty important to Dr. Strange MoM and The Marvels.
Second, there's already been a reference in 97 to the MCU, absolute points in time, which was introduced in What If. What If doesn't take place in the MCU but in it's own greater multiverse referencing events from the MCU. Which I think it's fair to say 97 probably exists in the same Multiverse as the MCU. Which I think is what the host of the video is probably trying to get at. So is 97 part of the MCU? No. But can it be? With multiverse theory, it's all possible!
@@JoeMTRBWYThe only thing with that is Feige has considered it several times and always decided against it. And without it being an alternate timeline on the Universal timeline (also the fact that it doesn't need to be and shouldn't be part of the MCU.) It would create a shitton of plot holes and inconsistencies since it's set in 97 and we've seen Spider-Man (who is confirmed to be Peter Parker) and is much older than MCU Peter which makes a real mess, since that means we're talking a Peter who would be in his 40s in 2020 that was a teenager when Ms. Marvel left Earth, which doesn't jive with the Sacred Timeline as we know it. As while a person will always be the same age even in an alternate timeline. This also means Xavier would be in his late 60s or 70s (being generous. But with Scott and Jean in adulthood when 92 started and it confirmed Jubliee is 18 in 97, and Xavier having met Magneto as an adult (in the let's generously say 60s and say Xavier was in his early 20s) would put him close to his 50s in X-men 97 (and since we're ignoring age difference time in Space Travel since it seemed he went from Shi'ar to Earth at a speed faster than light, but comic books and the MCU tends to ignore that anyway) and with 23 years between 2020 and 1997 we're definitely looking late 60s at best, which is is clearly not in the MCU. So that adds another plothole. Which yeah most people aren't gonna care about, but when you're trying to put that into the MCU which is already messing with time.. yeah it's gonna get messy and I suspect that's the main reason Feige won't do it is because he knows how messy it would get.

This is EASILY the best thing Marvel has done since Infinity War / Endgame.
It's made me super sad since EG as I knew it would not ever be the same after that. I mean, how could it possibly be? That was such an insane accomplishment, but I hope this is the beginning of a new era of Marvel. Parallel to the infinity saga, but different and unique enough that it doesn't seem to be riding the coat tails of those movies. Not to mention the insane nostalgia boner that a new and nearly perfect season of my favorite childhood cartoon. They really need to get Beau back on the team though. He clearly has the right mindset and has his heart invested in the work.

I think Marvel should just recast Kang. We all know the situation with Jonathan Majors so it’s not like it would be a shock when a different actor shows up onscreen as Kang. Plus if they can recast Terrence Howard/War Machine for Don Cheadle then they can do it in the scenario too!
And Edward Norton/Lou Ferrigno as Banner/Hulk. Then had Avengers movie where he was replaced sponsored by Norton antivirus suite 💀 True story
nice sponsor transition, but I feel they should keep the animated universe mostly separate from MCU ( a nod to animated versions like in spider-verse is fine), and since we have glimpses of other marvel characters in x-men, they could make spider-man 97, or perhaps mini series of avengers 97, or daredevil

@@johnb2422 you are correct, until we see it we won’t know if it was changed or left alone. From what I’ve read Beau had the second season written and was beginning season 3 when he was let go.
@@johnb2422Unless they make major changes in post production that's probably going to stick. Season 2 was being produced before Season 1 aired. It was green lit in 2022 and is finishing production now, so such a major re-write at this point which would require dumping a lot of animation and remaking it is improbable. While there is no release date currently, if it doesn't come out in early-mid 2025 I'd be shocked. They're already starting on Season 3, so major changes to Season 2 are very unlikely at this point.

Remember crazy Bender from the OG series was Immortus...or Kang the Conquero? Those were time travel Apocalypse episodes set in the 3000s AD, just where Jean and Scott ended up. This has all been set up...or the writing perfectly did a retroactive set up job.

Im also thinking. That particular episode when they was kidnapping the telepaths is when sinister switched Maddie and Jean. Cause the comment sinister made in x97 "where you end and maddie begins" i took that as a ref to the axsis of time.🤔

Seeing how Storm fans are so mad at the season 1 finale for not giving her a "moment", turning her into one of the Apocalypse Horsemen next season might send them over the edge.
I loved Storm in the 2000s movies but watching this version of Storm kinda annoys me. She seems too vain and keeps acting like she’s the actual God. Like calm down a little… you ain’t bigger than Jean 😤😤. Irritating personality in this series

And she's technically a weather witch or goddess so naturally she's going have those mannerisms. 🤷♀ You're about thirty years off to be annoyed by her acting the way she's always acted. Heck you're probably closer to fifty years off because I think this was part of her character since her introduction in the 1960s. So, yeah. The Fox films were the exception, not the rule, of Storm's characterization.

X-Men 97 does not tie into the MCU. They will not be in Secret Wars. That is not the same Wolverine.

If Apocalypse can resurrect Gambit, he can resurrect other mutants too. He can bring back Madelyne Pryor, Sebastian Shaw, Callisto, Leech, etc. Maybe they can also put in parts of the Necrosha storyline and have Selene work with Apocalypse to resurrect the dead mutants.
Wolverine has been a horseman in the comics, but the picture shown was of Daken (Wolverine's son), you can see how he only has two claws in each hand (yes, Daken also has a third one but it doesn't come out of his knuckles).

Bro its not the same Wolverine. The Xmen series wasn't written in collaboration with the deadpool movie writers. Marvel very rarely collaborates across projects like that anymore, except for tiny little throwaway lines and references that are thrown in after the project is already done. 0% chance the animation team was involved in any way with the writers of Deadpool & Wolverine considering how many different drafts of Deadpool 3 Ryan Reynolds presented, and the fact that the animation scripts have to be locked in so far in advance.
Some are thinking it was Apocalypse himself who sent them but guess we will find out in season 2. Beau Demayo more or less confirmed Storm, Wolverine and Morph are in the future with Jean and Scott. Stop trying to force the idea this series had to do with the live action MCU!! Its own thing
Beau DeMayo already confirmed (sort of) that Wolverine, Storm and Morph are in the 2960 AD timeline with Cyclops and Jean
I hope we see forge , and bishop build ,and assemble new xmen team including psyclocke , iceman Colossus, shadow cat, and archangel with emma frost as the team telepathy overseeing the new mutant/ gen- x stand including magik karma wolfsbane, mirage , cannonball, husk , sunspot , jubilee , magma , and skin

Apocalypse is NOT the oldest mutant, Selene is. Apocalypse is over 5,000 years old, while Selene is 17,000 years old. So in effect, he's the world's SECOND oldest mutant.
Btw, Wolverine, Storm, and Morph will be the new Horsemen, that'll be how Wolverine regains his Adamantium laced claws & skeleton

It seems that Ryan is ok with X-Men '97 being its own thing while Colton is fixated on it being a part of the multiverse saga. Even with Beau DeMayo saying that "Deadpool was off limits" implying that X-Men '97 truly is its own story completely separate from the rest of the MCU. Every time Colton is on here, he insists that these are the X-Men that we'll see in Deadpool & Wolverine to Avengers Secret Wars.

X-Men 97 needed to be longer with their seasons. Nine episode not a real season considering if you go back to the old school X-Men You had a hell of a lot more episodes than what we get and then we have to wait 2 years before we get another season. Or hopefully they do like the Loki series in the following year give us the show again. But I just hope that they would add more episodes make it feel like we're back in the '90s for real for real

So I have 2 ideas, one I've thought about for a few days and one I just though of right before making this post:
1. What if we get a twist that Magneto ends up as one of the Horsemen, only to have him suddenly heel turn into Onslaught.
2. I'm not sure if there's comics to back it up, but since there is an episode where Apocalypse is able to return after being basically a ghost, would it also be possible that Rama Tut is killed and ends up taking someone else over to give himself a new body? It would allow an in-multiverse reason why he looks different and ,if I understand correctly, would allow for the whole council of Kangs to be changed as well. It will not shock me if Im wrong about any of that though lol

I found a missed episode 1 Easter egg: on the outside of the building, at ~1min 36sec, the letters remaining of the sign on the building say “hate party”, referring to the supremacists inside. It took spray pain graffiti to change it to “Hip Skate Party”.
Almost as subtle as the base at Alkalai Lake in the first X-Men movie.

I thought Apocalypse stole Cable’s body slider in XMen TAS, “Beyond Good and Evil”. This is why Cable had to steal the time traveler ship in that episode, to chase Apocalypse. This lead the team to the time axis where Forge was and Immortus. Cable then uses the ship to travel back to his son at the end of the episode. 🤔
He probably got a new one.
When Cable was using the "body slider" he was telling the ship what to do.
