"Every comic book character comes back to life except Uncle Ben." 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Actually, Uncle Ben came back in House of M.
You can't change fixed point canon event mate
Making Avengers 5 "Avengers vs X-Men" would be a terribly premature idea.
As long as they don't kill Professor X on screen for the fourth time on screen.
Saying that Patrick’s Stewart’s role in doctor strange 2 was a “way to say goodbye” is a fvcking wild take.
And a garbage take as well
@@Malkiore1 It was sarcasm.
I might have missed the sarcasm BUT I'm pretty sure he & McKellan are already signed up for AVENGERS: MAJORS VS CALIFORNIA & AVENGERS SECRET WARS
Not really
It was A way. Not a particularly good or necessary way, but... it existed.
The problem is, the fans are too smart. We didn’t know we were in the “Infinity Saga” until it was almost over. Since we were aware of the Multiverse Saga from the jump, our expectations are already high.
That's part of the proverbial lightning in a bottle that the early MCU captured. We knew from the post-credit scenes of Ironman and The Incredible Hulk that they were building up a shared cinematic universe, but we weren't looking for a multi-film decade long saga. It just kind of happened. Now we're looking for it, and judging everything through that lens. It can't really develop naturally like it did the first time. It feels more forced now.
@@jayb8934 How do you make something perfect, even more perfect. Look at Star Wars and even 1980's Superman. All the reboots have fallen short of expectations. Plus all the other reboots...like Ghostbusters! Have we reached our creative end as a species?!

Risky plan.

@@DMP413 Of course. I misspoke. I just meant that's how it felt from the audience's perspective. But now we're all looking for and judging the plan, where as in the early days we just enjoyed the ride.
Okay the running gag of Doug deciding he's had enough and is going to go live out the role of a protagonist from an old movie is growing on me XD
Came here to say this! 😂
Yes! Loving it!

I don't think I've seen it before BUT I live in my cat's apartment and she's an A-Hole(Rocket asked her to join his new GUARDIANS 🦝😹)& my siblings have like 4 🐶 so I *LOVE* Doug 😻
That secret of nim deep cut 🙏
…the only answer is, for this level of IP it takes four years pre production, two years production and post and then one year marketing. Fox was bought in 2017 but Disney only took possession of fox in 2019. There simply hasn’t been enough time.
This is what I keep telling people! It’s only happening now because there hasn’t been enough time since they grabbed fox. That’s also why things are a little dry these days is because we’re still getting out of that limbo phase after endgame because WHY SHOULD A MARVEL FAN WANT THEM TO KEEP MAKING MOVIES WITHOUT EVERYONE HERE FANTASTIC FOUR AND X-MEN
@@Grandmaster1up Finally some common sense,
The world is full of people who don't have it
It's 2024, we can do this
Yes! Thank you
I think one of the biggest problems with the MCU and the introduction of mutants is that they already did it in "Agents of SHIELD" where they tried to make Inhumans the MCU version of mutants. The fact that Feige decanonized it all (after at first telling us it would be canon) makes it feel even cheaper since we don't know what to trust as canon and not. (Same applies to the Netflix shows.)
Sounds like Doug's favorite movie is secret of NIMH, that little guy has good taste
He bloody well does.
That is the best comment that I have ever read on RUclips channel 💚😎
Each avenger essentially got their own movie or team up movie. The X-men or “the mutant saga” won’t be introduced until after Deadpool. The “X-men” would be an avengers level movie
This is likely what will happen.
Introduce Xavier in an end credit sequence after Secret War. Give some of the bigger characters (Storm, Magneto, Nightcrawler) their own individual movies. Then bring the full team together about 3 years down the line.
I don't think we're going to get a movie titled X-Men until 28 / 29... at the earliest.
@@TNEQLNightcrawler definitely won't get one eventhough people will want to have it ..storm definitely will get one
I think we’re going to see the new recast post Secret Wars. They still have, Deadpool, Iron Heart, Blade, Agatha, 2 Avengers films, Vision series, Armor wars, F4, Captain America, What If. and a few I’m forgetting on the books

In Dr. Strange they continuously are setting up the multiverse. Without understanding the multiverse it’s hard to understand the flexibility of comics. If you don’t deeply and clearly clean the slate you can’t paint a true and unique picture.
This incredibly so. I think (most) people can't come to an full understanding of what a multiverse really entails and most people outside of fans of the comics don't grasp that this concept is already explored on a weekly basis through most comic series and narrative lines.
For example, the newest storylines aren't ALL connected, but there are major story beats that DO take place for every character in the 616 universe. Things get confusing for non-fans when you factor in concepts like Spectacular Spider-man vs Amazing Spider-man or Ultimate Universe (which is on its second go around) vs the regular comic lines. There are competing storylines (because comics and media as a whole) and then there are grand events that involve multiple characters that often times takes place in the MAIN continuity.
The MCU is the equivalent of a main continuity but it IS NOT the main continuity. People keep thinking that these stories HAVE to take place in the same universe when in fact they most times do not. The problem is that the MCU confused alot of people by throwing in that line in No Way Home about the 616 when it was retconned in that same movie as a narrative ploy developed by one of Mysterio's villain buddies in that movie...without realizing that all of it is fictional hubblah built to enterain us in reality.
It's all fictious, but it has to make sense in real life...therefore they use actors continuously for characters so that we instantly recognize them. I.E. Professor X from Doctor Strange IS NOT neccessarily Prof. X from X-men 97 and all other X-men iterations. It's just a recognizable Prof. X and who better than THE Patrick Stewart?
Trying to fit mutants into the MCU as it is now is just too messy. You either have them always have been there but in hiding and SHIELD or anyone else NEVER knew about them, and the mutans never helped out in any of the crises which they already did with the Eternals, or you have them suddenly appear as a new thing, which doesn't work for the older mutants like Xavier and Magneto. Introducing them to the audience as characters in the multiverse is getting the foot in the door so when they reboot the MCU after Secret Wars, they'll be starting fresh with everything and the mutants can finally exist in the MCU without the questions of why were they never around and why did nobody ever notice them.
Handful of older mutants, Charles, Magneto, Logan, etc.. Nothing to say they weren't doing things around the world during the blip, but low numbers accounts for lack of attention.
Something occurs in Secret War that suddenly activates latent X-Genes in younger people. It gives a reason for people's sudden fear of mutants, and also for a certain Professor to start a school to train them.
Or the "X-Gene" is simply not something that's understood yet, as Bruno suggested in Ms. Marvel. Wanna and Piotro were described as "Enhanceds", and WandaVision suggested that her powers were latent and always there. This could easily be reinterpreted as them having been mutants all along?
Simple, to the point solutions.
@@TNEQL Comes off as too much of a cop out. It's silly to imply SHIELD knew about inhumas but not mutants.
@@edz8872 There's nothing to suggest they wouldn't have know about some powered individual who could turn out to be mutants. If the X-Gene isn't fully understood, they might have simply assumed they were just metahumans.
Maybe people like Charles and Erik have been keeping their powers secret until now, exactly for fear of how humanity would react (this was even touched on in X-Men 97). Logan could have been a classified attempt at another Super Soldier project (accurate to conic continuity too). These gaps are easily filled in.
Inhumans aren't a thing in the MCU, so that's not really an issue IMO. 🤷🏻♂️
*EXACTLY!* Imagine mutants have been around just like INHUMANS or HYDRA agents. Maybe Fury even shows up at the X-mansion and 'Ewan McGregor's Wolverine has a conversation with him:
FURY: We had some great times old friend
LOGAN: Did you just call me Old Ben?!
DEADPOOL: Ask Mace how he lost his eye, quick before I do!😹
@@edz8872 S.H.I.E.L.D. only learned about Inhumans in Season 2 of their show. Literally, when Daisy went through Terrigenesis, they didn't know what she was. And HYDRA was built for an ancient Inhuman. If S.H.I.E.L.D. didn't know anything about Inhumans until an agent became one, it's possible that they didn't know about mutants either.
Oh man, we have a Ryan from a new universe now - does that mean everything the old Ryan said is no longer canon?
The Secret of Nihm reference made my grey hairs hurt.
Successful multiversal stories require setting up a lot of characters
Anyone else thinking the problem with this version of Avengers v XMen is that we already saw this EXACT storyline in Captain America: Civil War?
These are two different teams.
it would be different as i imagine it be like the ultimate universe vs the 616 in the comics but the mcu vs the fox xmen
Yea his idea's for writing marvel is why he is a youtuber and Kevin in heading everything. I mean how are you going to say the Fox X-men need to die?!?
@@Malkiore1 Also, his idea for the X-Men is basically a rehash of the prequel films. He even used clips from those movies to make a point. =/

7:37 Doug 🐶 “Snapped” like Thanos 😂
A colorful metaphor Wolverine, I'm blue-green with envy - Hank McCoy X-MEN TAS😹
I thought Marvel couldn’t recast the X-Men till 2025 due to contracts.
16:56 Imagine in every ScreenCrush video starring Ryan, he's just dressed like this variant of himself from now on.
I think Magneto should've been introduced in Doctor Strange 2 after Wanda was oofed.
13:22 I don't think the multiverse cheapens the 616 at all tbh. Sure if a character dies you could just grab a variant from another universe, but it wouldn't be the same person - they'd have different memories, relationships, personalities, etc.
Look at Gamora or Laurel Lance from Arrow - they died & we got variants of them back, but they were different ppl. They hadn't gone on the same journey as the original characters & it created an opportunity to explore a new interesting path for them.
It does not cheapen it. His idea's on writing a marvel series is just out of tune.
I think it would be interesting for a low budget indie move a guy finding a variant of himself to find out it isnt cracked up like he thought it was.
I guess people just see it as "oh they came back" like you put a another action figure back into the field. Instead of a different person.
Doug been going off lately im here for all of it.
mate...we would have not gotten hugh jackman once more back as wolverine in the yellow suit, for me it was worth it
Agreed. I mea how are he is going to talk bad about X-Men like that saying they should have killed them off?!
I would love to see Marsden for one last proper outing in his classic suit. Same as Halle in her white suit. Think about Marsden as Cyclops, facing the left side of the screen in an homage to Captain America in Endgame and he says, "Let go, my X-Men!"
@@LukeLovesRoseSo, they're not going to fight in black leather?
@@shawn092182 They'll probably never bring back the original X-Men. But we can hope. And we can hope that they look as good as Logan in Deadpool and Wolverine
Yeah but if he didn’t return we still would have gotten a new Wolverine in the yellow suit in a future project. I believe in beginnings, middles, and ends and they had that with Hugh’s Logan already. I know that opinion makes me unpopular
Imagine if they just did World War Hulk instead of the multiverse saga lol.
sadly they cant
They couldn't do WWH proper without key characters not introduced yet by Thor Ragnorok
thor ragnarok fucked up the planet hulk story
@@RtistiqSkubie they couldn't because of the film rights belonging to Universal
We will learn that Strange brought in the X-Men during End Game for the last fight. They were doing their thing against Thanos' soldiers off camera. Maybe we will get a flashback of Wolverine slicing one of the Chitari's heads off
Pretty sure even after the sale there was still red tape that said they couldn't recast fox characters for a certain amount of time (a few years). They contractually could not just go into a clean slate. If they wanted to use any former fox characters when they did, it had to be the fox actors. That time is, or almost is up and they can do as they please.
I should have mentioned that in the video. The rumor was debunked
I will always appreciate Fox’s X-men franchise. X-Men 1&2, Days of Future Past, First Class, Logan, Deadpool.. all revolutionary in their own way.
Long story short it's basically due to
A. The rights being back before the Infinity Saga ended and before the Multiverse Saga was announced
And most importantly
B. They legally can't recast ANY X-Men characters til 2025 with if any Wolverine variants in Deadpool and Wolverine may be a way to get someone else to play Wolverine but a variant. And hence why Stewart Gramar and Jackman and likely some more are back as their X-Men characters.
Ok scratch B must be mainly due to them already planning out the Multiverse Saga and how it'd be weird to include X-Men pre Secret Wars
I think the contracts thing isn’t a factor. Most insiders and other YT believe those were just rumors, and if they were real Disney could still buy the actors out of those previous contracts.
Thank you.
That contract BS is a debunked rumor that was made-up by Devin Faraci - a sex offender who has made fake scoops about Marvel Studios in the past. Stop spreading misinformation.

5:10 The way I understood it from Loki S1 is that each universe contains multiple parallel timelines, & that it's only once they begin to branch significantly (aka red line) that it forms a brand new universe.
The Sacred Timeline contained multiple timelines with small differences (i.e. Loki as a girl, Loki surviving Infinity War, etc), but its only once the variants (i.e. Sylvie & old man Loki) made different decisions that it branched the timeline.
If we’re being technical mutants were introduced into the MCU in the Winter Soldier end credits scene: Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver. Now then the MCU didn’t say “Mutant” because at the time they couldn’t but us as fans know that those two are in fact mutants. It was a very thin line I think they couldn’t cross yet but now they should be able to. As for the Fox actors, to me High Jackman will always be Wolverine because he played him for so long and he’s the only actor to have played him that nailed it every single time so I agree it’s hard to replace him.
It feels like Xmen dodged a bullet by not releasing during MCU worst time.
I have never recovered from seeing The Secret Of NIMH as a child. I was six when that was released. Nice pull, Doug.
They couldn’t replace the actors till 2025
That's debunked rumor that was made up by Devin Faraci - a sex offender who made fake scoops about Marvel Studios in the past. He once claimed that Marvel was not making origin stories anymore and Kevin Feige said that was completely made up. lol

@@rogersmith3620 Okay, then why when the mutants show up in cameos, they use Fox's X-Men actors? They even got Evan Peters in Wandavision as a Quicksilver imposter.
@@SeanWheeler100 Do you not watch the video? Kevin Feige worked on the early X-Men films and is friends with the original X-Men cast. Feige himself said that he wants to work with them again. The Avenger cast have said multiple times that they want to work with them and Feige is graining their wish. Not to mention their films were popular. Honestly, this should NOT be a surprise to anyone with common sense.
16:57 OMG he wears other clothes !!! 😂😂
Dude, you need to be a story consultant for Marvel. Love how this would have played out. 😮
Michael Lesslie: To me, my X-Men!
If the multiverse is how we resurrect characters, than I want a new Quicksilver. I'd *love* to see his dynamic with the rest of his family play out on screen: him and Wanda, him and Polaris, and *especially* him and Magneto. Plus, seeing him and Johnny Storm fight over Crystal from the Inhumans could be very funny. 😁
They really could have brought them in without changing The Snap. The main issue is that they screwed up the Inhumans, which would have been the PERFECT way to bring them in. If they stuck with the SHIELD version of the Inhumans (instead of the corrupt moon people from that one series), they'd have at least something to work with that doesn't involve tampering with The Snap. Also the whole registration thing sounds exactly the same as what the Sokovia Accords brought in, it would be kinda dumb to do it again. So really they would need to have been planning this out WELL before Disney got the rights back. Like over a decade.
I think you're right, in theory. There is talk that Feige is replacing Iger after Secret Wars though, and if true, then I think he is doing the nostalgia tour before allowing someone else to start again. Much like James Gunn over at DC, it will probably be a not-quite clean slate as some actors will likely remain, but a lot will be new. Anthony Mackie for example, is 45 now. So by the time Secret Wars rolls around, I can see a new Cap as much as the obvious ones like Iron Man & Natasha.
I guess this channel isn't called screen crush for no reasom . Dude just crushed the break down on how to write proper sagas
Doug been going off lately! Keep cooking Doug keep cooking!
I prefer SCREENCRUSH over SCREENRANT 💯💯💯
X-men has good characters that should be imported to the MCU, but the story of mutants vs non-mutants is one we have heard in 10+ movies. Whats also the point separating between heroes, with and without mutant genes?
Yea I do not agree with him on this at all
Fair, but also the theme would hit harder now than in the past decade or two. You know, what with all the Nazis, fascists, and bigots having become so emboldened.
Every human, mutate, and mutant in the Marvel universe have the X-gene. Technically, everyone on Earth in the Marvel universe is a mutant, and the only distinction between a human and a mutant is the fact that the latter has "activated" their mutation. Eventually, every single human would have produced mutant offspring at some point in their generational line anyway, because mutants are the next step of evolution in the Marvel universe.
The distinction between humans, mutants, and mutates is a false one, something that 'technically' never existed, and is part of the point. There is no deeper meaning or logic behind mutant discrimination because there's no such thing as "human purity from the X-gene" in the first place, just like how in the real world, "race" is not a biological reality but a social one.
So yeah, if the MCU were to adapt the same "mutants vs. non-mutants" theme, the fact that there is no logic behind it is part of the point. Unless you're telling me being a racist or bigot is logical...
I agree. And its worse. He did not only suggest to do another "humans fear mutants" film, but to use the mutant registration act again, which was the main plot point in the very first X Men movie already.
@@SSJKamui And "Captain America: Civil War". (The "Superhero Registration Act" was really just a variation of the "Mutant Registration Act".)
I think you get basically every part of the logistics wrong. Like Disney "rewriting" the end of Dark Phoenix, and all the timelines for a X-men movie. Feige probably just likes the X-Men enough to not want to rush this. They only get one shot w the general public.
Sir you are by far my favorite channel on RUclips. This might not make sense but you’ve gotten me through some very hard times. Thank You
But as Doug said, "What about the cameos???" LOL!!!! THANKS for this, Doug and Ryan!!!! Yes, Doug, Ryan *does* complain too much about the MCU!!! If you guys keep going like this you need to rename this channel "What Marvel Should Have Done." (Rolls eyes)
I’ve a feeling Marvel will do the same thing with live action X-men like they did with X-men 97: they brought back the original X-men animated series characters (and continued their story) and throughout the new season’s 10 episodes, you get to see each characters transforms (either through character development, design or simply a costume change) showing the animated series’ transition to Marvel Studios!
With that same logic, we might get to see a continuation of Fox X-men characters storyline. The popular characters will make a comeback and within the film (or show), we will get to see those characters transform. Just like how some characters in the animated series got new voice actors (and their original voice actors, who are alive, voiced new characters) while others retained their original, we will get to see the same thing happening in the live action version (some characters retaining their original actors while others getting recasted with that character’s original actors portraying a new character)!
Deadpool and Wolverine is definitely a start. We all will know which direction the live action will go post D&W release!
Your idea of introducing the X-Men into the MCU is a lot like mine. Thanos' snap would have triggered latent mutations in young people around the world and some of them (characters like Cyclops, Jean, Storm, Beast, Iceman, Angel, Rogue, Nightcrawler would be affected) would have been sought out and recruited by Professor X. He and a few other mutants like Magneto, Wolverine, Sabretooth, and Mystique would have already been around, but operating in secret (except some folks like Nick Fury might be aware of their existence or even acquainted with them). The actor cast as the Professor X variant in Doctor Strange 2 (assuming that still gets made) would play the MCU's version moving forward (the same goes for Reed Richards for that matter) and be introduced in the main timeline in a post-credit scene with the MCU's Reed Richards.
I said this when they bought Fox, they could’ve done a reverse House of M and had Wanda bring all the mutants over from another universe with Dr. Strange then merge the two universes together to stop in incursion. It was simple.
One of my favorite channels ! Thanks Screen Crush Crew !
Imagine when the energy of that fourth snap makes it from the Garden to Earth. A fourth energy surge hitting a certain villain while he rests and reawakening... Apocalypse (preferably not a version that looks more like Ivan Ooze).
lol, that was The Seceret of NYMPH plot line Doug spat out 😂
The biggest missed opportunity was to include Spiderman. He is a key lynch pin in so many Marvel stories and ties so many things together.
fantastic job guys! I completely agree with everything you said with the exception of Xavier and Magneto already being here and just being on the down low. I always thought that Thanos snap should’ve been the catalyst for the X-Men popping up left and right as well. Kudos to Doug for the secret of NIMH reference! Keep up the good work!
Hey Ryan, do you ever consider to cover the easter eggs and details from the LEGION tv show? I know it's old and over, and probably is not relevant to any event in the future of the MARVEL products, but... since the huge hit that X-MEN'97 (and for sure DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE) where... It feels like make sense to have more insight on the people related to Xavier, right?
Anyway! I love your content and always look for it as I watch any new chapter or movie. Please, keep doing that freaking great!
I'd love to buy that "Beast-Fraser" or "Remember It" t-shirt, but there is no shipping overseas. What is up with that?
Ive said it before and I'll say it again. Disney / Marvel will never make a better, more effective X-Men movie than Logan or Days of Future Past
Good video dood! 🔥
Everything in phase 4 & 5 makes one wonder if Disney has a “Kevin Feige-type guy” running it.
Thanks for the video Ryan
The Secret of Nimh! Like some really good skritches for the reference.
Nice multiverse drop of the ol outfit at the end!
A lot of times I would agree with you but I don't know about that one
Let's let it play out.
It's actually easier to just say that the Mutants helped in some events but with Xavier's and Jean's and maybe Emma's telepathic influences amplified by some machine they made akin to the Cerebro, they mind wiped the immediate witnesses wherever they fought at
Nicely done Doug. Secret of NIHM reference was good.
I remember being convinced that Kevin would use Thanos's snap, or Hulk's, or both to be triggering events for mutations manifesting. It would have been clean and easy for even the average person to understand. Maybe it was too obvious? The MCU has definitely been less than compelling since Endgame and I agree that the longer the multiverse goes on, the more confusing it becomes.
Great one as always Ryan
Smart ways to tie things together.
How I would've done it is to introduce xmen after endgame under the premise that the mcu up until this point was post house of m with the 2nd snap returning their powers.
IMO, nobody would be complaining about the multi-verse aspect of things if the last few movies had actually been good. IMO the only reason people are really tired of the multi-verse stuff is simply because the movies weren't very good and the multi-verse wasn't executed very well. In other words, I think it has almost nothing to do with the subject matter and has everything to do with the writing/execution of it. They can still make a very good multi-verse movie if they have good writers, a good director, good acting, and a good plot (for example, the animated Spider-Man movies).
On a broader level, I think you could make a movie about literally anything, and if it's executed well, people will enjoy it (see: the Lego Movie). Nobody right now would have "superhero fatigue" if the last few movies and shows had been exceptional, so I just don't like the argument that the subject matter has *anything* to do with why Marvel's not super beloved at the moment.
Case in point: most people didn't have "superhero fatigue" by the time Infinity War/Endgame came out, even though those were like the 20th and 21st MCU movies - because they were *good*. That was like the climax of superhero excitement. The only reason why excitement has dropped since then is because the subsequent movies simply weren't as good - you could argue that it's because there was no way to "level up" from Endgame, but I think it would've been possible to make a "smaller" movie that people still enjoyed as long as you executed it well. I think that's literally all it comes down to.
I Fw That New Look 👓 At The End Ryan.. You Clean Up Nice My Brother ✊
What’s the movie behind you on the shelf in between spider-man and lord of the rings?
I never ever thought I would see Ryan with different clothes LOL
Having mutants appear the way you suggest would be similar to Inhumans in Agents of Shield after the terrigen crystals were released into the water and ingested by fish, with people suddenly becoming Inhumans. Yes, that season of that show occurred about 8 years ago, but it sounds very similar.
They bungled it bc they made it too complicated between timelines & diff universes and the fact they didn’t go all in with MoM. Or even using a mcguffin by using the living tribunal or some other cosmic entity as a corrector of multiverse shenanigans. He could’ve. But ultimately it doesn’t matter it’s all spilled milk at this point.
they brought Gamora back through time travel... why not others!?
wow alternate universe Ryan looks great in glasses
Who else loved Doug's tangent about The Secret of NIMH?!?
There are some MCU films that missed the opportunity to feature the X-men like:
Captain America: The First Avenger (Wolverine, Sabertooth, and Magneto were all present during World War 2 and Cap could've crossed paths with one of those guys at some point).
The Avengers (Considering that the majority of Marvel characters live in New York, it made no sense that the X-men weren't around when Loki and the Chitauri were attacking the city.)
Captain Marvel (Both that film and X-men: Dark Phoenix are set in the 90s and they came out around the same time Disney bought Fox. Since Marvel has now regained the rights to the X-men, they could've easily incorporate them into the Captain Marvel film.)
Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness (Even though Professor X was in the film, Evan Peters's Quicksilver was not. Marvel missed their chance to redeem themselves after that Ralph Bonner joke in WandaVision).
The Eternals (They are the only characters to witness Apocalypse's rule over Egypt.)
Although, I do prefer that the MCU and the X-men movies are in 2 seperate universes.
Awesome take, Disney should watch and take notes!
I thought in Wanda vision, scarlet witches expansion of her spell was gonna create mutants by expanding past the town similar to rambeau got her abilities.
They should've introduced Rogue and Mystique in the movie Marvels. Storm could've been introduced in the black panther movies.
They were probably counting on another billion dollar movie & saving Rogue for CAPTAIN MARVEL 3/THE MARVELS 2 or something. Now they'll probably move her casting up
Need a video on all the x-men movie plot holes and if there was something that could still be explored
The widely-publicized reason why the X-Men weren’t introduced sooner was because the contracts for many of the actors from the later films don’t expire until 2025. Cyclops would have to be Tye Sheridan, same with Jean as Sophie Turner, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, etc.
thank you I don’t think he knows this 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
If beast needs to be Nicolaus Holt how did they get Kelsey Grammer? Or did those contracts only apply to films with the title X-Men?
When Disney bought Fox Kevin Feige famously said, and I’m paraphrasing, that he already had his five year plan mapped out. That was 2019, we’re now in 2024. He wasn’t going to kill his plans or alter them just because he now had the X men, regardless of their popularity. We can debate woulda shoulda couldas all we want
This was NOT publicized at all. That's a debunked rumor that was made up by Devin Faraci - a sex offender who has made-up fake scoops about Marvel Studios in the past. As somebody already noted: Kelsey Grammar played Beast in The Marvels not Nicolaus Holt. Use common sense, dude.

About what the difference is between multiple timelines and universes, I think they're basically the same thing. The only difference being that what we call a universe has split off long enough ago so that it has major changes compared to another. What we call timelines are more recent splits, thus more similar. But overall the same thing
Is Dougs variant an alligator like in Loki ?
I can't believe they killed our Ryan Arey. The other guy isn't our Ryan.
Yay!
Hopefully this new Ryan Arey is better.
Damn Doug with the Rats of Nim deepcut. Good boy
OMG the puddle water joke was 🔥🔥🔥
🤣🤣🤣
They already established that the Mutants existed way before the Blip in that deleted scene in the post credit scene of Ironman,
I could see Magneto absolutely decimating Iron Man. He could stop any weapon Stark throws at him and turn every one of Stark's suits into atoms. It would be a cakewalk for a level 5 mutant with the power to manipulate the Earth's magnetic field. He could pull the minerals from The Avengers' blood and take them out from the inside. Maybe Dr. Strange and/or Scarlet Witch would stand a chance with enough misdirection, but the writers would have to lend a lot of plot armor to The Avengers for them to stand a chance. Not to mention, mutants outnumber The Avengers 100,000 to 1. If they make an X-Men/Avengers movie where they're on opposite sides, be prepared for the mutants to be nerfed AF.
Thank Doug for reminding me of The Secret of Nimh. I have so much love for that movie!
The whole “return snap” thing could have easily bought mutants into the MCU.
I think it makes sense to save the X-Men for after Secret Wars when they can wrap the Avengers stuff up and dedicate future stories to stuff regarding mutants
Secret of Nimh reference. Nice!
Doug having a Secret of NIMH rant was awesome. But, what am I missing? Is there a connection to Marvel somewhere? Or, was that just an example of how a simple storyline can be so much more impactful when there are strong personal stakes involved? Whatever the case, I love Doug, and his taste in movies.
Your take on how it should have gone is brilliant.
