There's a brand new Halloween movie upon us, so it seemed the perfect time to go looking for sins in the beloved and acclaimed original. And while that film is f*cking fantastic... it still has sins... as all movies do. So we counted them. And here they are.
Next week: Thursday, similar sins, but not those sins... the other sins... no, not those...
Remember, no movie is without sin! Which movie's sins should we expose next?!

“Don’t fear the reaper” being played on the radio while Michael Myers the embodiment of death is literally following them is so perfect you can’t even put it into words.
Well put. :) Couldn't have said better myself
Poizin Rath I thought I was the only one who noticed that, pretty nice touch
They should've sinned it for not having enough cow bell
I get an erection, you're right.
Is so perfect, is you putting it into words.
7:21 Michael Myers looking both ways for oncoming traffic is the funniest shit I've ever seen. We love a responsible serial killer.
Right 😂💀
And yet he still didnt use his turn signal 😁
Good spot! 😂😂
We stan a responsible movie serial killer. Hopefully he also turns the lights off in a room he's not in.
7:26 *since Annie & Laurie been smoking potent marijuana for 2 hours, they're too high to notice &, or even care that Michael Myers is following them around his & their neighborhood.*
The fact that most of the stalking takes place during the day makes it more terrifying
“While as evil as Dr. Loomis says he is, doesn’t have a sense of humor and since he has a car, Annie would love this guy if she was still alive”. Lmao 😂
Not gonna lie. If I ever talked to you in person and I didn’t hear a ding after every few sentences, I would be disappointed
ding!
Unrealistic expectations of how conversation with Jeremy works. Thaaats a sin!
I like to think he carries a bell with him wherever he goes so he can sin things that happen in daily life

"I am not sinning something in this scene!" *DING!*"
"Our conversation does not include a lapdance!" *DING!*"
"So how was your day?" "Oh it was..." "NARRATION!" *DING!*
Something my mom told me while watching this with her: When you call someone with one of those phones, both you and the caller have to hang up in order for the line to work again. Michael didn't cut the line. When he strangled the girl with the phone cord, he never hung up the phone from Laurie, so in turn her phone didn't work either and that's why she was unable to call for help.
If you left it off the hook long enough to make the rapid *busy tone* noise it would nullify the other phone's connection. It doesn't matter, though. The video correctly surmised he didn't have time to cut the lines but he could've easily disabled it after sneaking in.
This is old but HOW DARE YOU USE LOGIC IN A MOVIE😡😠
"Something my mom told me" and "one of those phones." Sigh...I feel ancient right now.
@@jennyn5692 but we still love it
Yup, I remember that. It would keep the connection, until both parties had hung up. Dammit, that really shows my age, doesnt it? 😂😂😂
I always wondered how the sherif doesn’t smell the weed in the car when talking to his daughter
agn54 same.. but that 1978 weed was probably some trash that’s the only thing I can think of 😂
Seriously😂😂😂
I thought he did notice it. He just had more important things to do. Probably he knows his daughter was smoking weed before.
He probs don’t care so many teens smoke it
agn54 that's a Halloweed
How could you not remove a sin for that fantastic shot of Laurie standing beside a dark doorway which then slowly reveals Michaels face? That was a beautifully done shot and would have been scary as shit for the audiences at the time
To be fair I think this movie has the most individuals sin removals that I’ve seen
-Opening 1 shot
-Where’s Michael?
-Michael staring at Bob
-Nobody shoots a movie like Carpenter
Halloween is still the greatest slasher horror ever (possibly because it's not that "slashery"). I love John Carpenter's style, there's no director like him.
Definitely top of his class, man.
I agree

Ssds😔😤👻👻👻👺
@David Vazquez the thing ain't a slasher movie tho
Halloween is the best horror movie and all but how did Myers learn how to drive?

The best joke, followed by the first comment about her taste in men.
How does he know how to drive a car?
"Maybe someone around here gave him lessons" - Dr. Loomis Halloween (1978)
Dr. Loomis would be excellent at Cinema Sins.
-5 sins for the origin of perhaps the greatest slasher theme music ever.
Thank you. That should have been the first sins removed.
Agreed!
-infinity sins for best theme tune of all time, not just best slasher theme tune.
I don't remember how many sins this video had but its too much.
Scary music. *Ding*
You didn't remove a sin for the iconic theme!??
*DING*
*DING* X 500

I don't know if it's just you. If you want to know, you should ask every single person on earth.
I say, get started.
One thing I found amusing was the fact that on Halloween night practically NO ONE was trick or treating in the neighborhood. Yea we saw 1-3 kids do a quick walk-by but if I know anything about Halloween its that you literally have to walk in the street because sidewalks are overflowing with parents and kids, and yet the night Michael attacks Laurie Annie etc the whole block is like a ghost town
The fact that Michael seems so calm about everything along with how he always sits up the way he does just makes him so much better
Yes, it makes the villain murderer in this movie even more frightening because he seems so casual about his murders
On another topic, 12:43,
"Doyle!?"
"O'Doyle rules! O'Doyle rules!"
Are we just gonna ignore the fact Bob said "Then we rip Lindsay's clothes off"
Yeah right. Michael knows what’s he’s doing
Right I always thought that was fucked up even when I was a young kid
I assume the actor was probably supposed to say rip Annie's clothes off or something and said the wrong name. It went unnoticed during post production.
Shadow's Vale he was also quite drunk
@@ShadowsVale I doubt it that was prolly 1 of the movies ways of trying to make the audience feel uncomfortable
12:19 the actor who played this Michael said that it was John Carpenter’s idea and that the head tilt was indeed to admire his work😂

Annie was being sarcastic when she said "speed kills," because Michael was driving so slowly. Ding.
You can tell a film is good if most the sins are nitpicks or little jokes. Honestly, most of this film still holds up.
They had a sin for a payphone of all things. Do they ever sit back and think maybe they are being a bit too stupid with the things they count as sins?
@@MrBrenbenn the videos are made as a joke lmao calm down

That's what the channel is about to be honest. They'd sin the mask as a killer cliché if this wasn't one of the movies who had invented that.

It would he hilarious if someone took It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and edited the Halloween music over it. LOL!

Halloween: I've got 99 sins, but the soundtrack ain't one ^^
yeah
John Carpenter with the synthesizer 💯
Nice song reference. The movie is jack shit though. I'm just glad the video is significantly longer than average.
Tyler, I'm assuming you're just really young or what not but this was the film that defined horror, and still does to this day. It popularized the slasher genre, Before this, all horror films were gothic films in the 1800's with Dracula, Frankenstein etc. He is one of the big three major horror characters (Michael, Jason and Freddy). The film was done on an incredibly tiny budget, yet still has amazing sets, props, music and actors (not to mention being done in 1978 is in pretty good film quality)
@@Esskay_ I saw the movie once when I was really young actually, and as you can imagine, I felt several sensations to fall asleep throughout the movie. You know it's bad if mans make a nearly 20 minute video on it just like an NFL fails video for a particular team (not calling out any team in particular btw).
I'm sad that he didn't sin that Michael Myers has been driving around all day but he hasn't run out of gas
Unicorn Alex you just caught a sin 👀👀
that should be the 100th sin. Lol yeah he don't seem like he would give a shit about putting fuel in the 🚗
@Lauren Magda fuck outta here with that spam shit
So true😂😂
if you have a full tank you can last a week my mom's car is bigger and last a week with a full tank
Honestly that plot you gave where Micheal saw himself in the kid and would then go on to protect him(because it’s a horror movie in a bloody and violent fashion) is totally something I would watch. Protector plots are some of my favorite
protector plots are usually at least interesting
He did scare the bully so I think it has some merit
"Lindsey" *adds sin*
Twice lol
Rumor has it that Lindsey is Bucky's daughter.
I was looking for this comment. It was the best thing about the video for me. Hahaha😂😂 Lindsey is a mood
"Well Dave, we just found our son standing here with a bloody kitchen knife in his hand.. But let's just stand and stare" 😭😭😂😂😭😭😆😆😆
Pls pendeja
Oscar Delgado ok culo estupido
I'm not making any sudden moves either but I would kind of just shimmy away, lol.
Yeah, its called a tableau or a freeze. The narrators comment was funny though, but I wouldn't't really count it as a sin.
Yeah, not a sin. Probably more realistic than most movie scenes, tbh. You find your 6 year old kid standing out in the street with a bloody butcher's knife in his hand? Some explanation from the kid is due, and the kid's not saying a word. Standing there in shock and disbelief for a while seems highly plausible under the circumstances. They're regular parents, not action heroes :)
If you did the sequels, we'd be here forever.
Julia Söderström he should at least do Halloween 4 that’s the only one that matters lol
🤣😂
I kinda want him too. lol
Halloween 5-sin the whole movie
Just do Season of The Witch. Then everyone's life would be complete.
Sil-ver Shamrock!
I'm glad to see the sin removal for Michael admiring his handywork with the head tilts. I absolutely loved that moment the first time I saw the film.
Pretty sure the speed kills joke by Annie was /because/ he was driving at stalking speed rather than the speed limit. She was making fun of him being slow af. XD
No I think it’s because after he drives by he like floors the car and that’s when she says that
I can't believe he didn't sin the Sheriff for not smelling the weed. They were literally putting out the joint when they pulled up to the hardware store.
I said the same thing.

For f***s sake. Am I the only one that pieced together this pumpkin scene? Michael moved that pumpkin from the front porch to the upstairs bedroom. He replaces the outdoor pumpkin with someone more sinister. This shows Michael's process as he sets up his final scare. He grabbed the tombstone on purpose, and set up that messed up scene upstairs.
How is there NOTHING on the internet about this awesome little secret?

Lindsey 😂😂😂
6:21 How dare you not remove a sin for having “Don’t Fear the Reaper.” Playing in the car.
This
It’s fitting.
All those sins about Michael Myers being stealthy can easily be chalked up to that Tier 1 terror radius he had through most of the movie.
Dead by fucking Daylight yessssss
Hashnt he been stalking for atleast half the movie? He should have been Tier 3 already
@@TheHe4moud He's saving it up so he can pop it at the climax
Goddamn Scratched Mirror MIke, maybe that's how he could see through walls
Here's the play by play of the movie. While Michael is building up his Evil Within you'll notice that his Object of Obsession, Laurie, keeps noticing him when no one else does, thanks to bringing in that Judith's Tombstone offering he was easily able to instamori all of her friends leaving Laurie the Sole Survivor, but when Myer's tried to kill Lori he put her in the injured state instead since his Tier 3 ran out, I mean sure he could have caught up to injured Laurie with ease but I feel like he was Playing with his Food and really wanted to Save the Best for Last, which is where he fucked up because Laurie was really able to land some Decisive Strikes towards the end which allowed her to survive and escape this trial of her life.
“Good hiding spot dude, parents will never find that...”

It's a sin that she was played by Kyle Richards of RHOBH.

Myers is stronger than any known human being so I can see why it would be near-perfect.
Not only was this the first scary movie I ever watched, I was with my dad I was like 7, but it’s honestly one of the first movies I remember watching besides Fox and the Hound.
Also, it was either this movie or H2O where someone gets their head grabbed while going town the stairs and beheaded, and that is why I always ran down the stairs as a kid... so I wouldn’t get yoinked by Michael Myers and beheaded

7:23 I know this is dorky to like but I LOVE the fact that Michael actively looks both ways before continuing driving down the road 😂
I always assumed the “he got hungry” line was referring to him killing the animal, not eating it. He got ‘hungry for killing things’

He really made the films and I'm kind of sad that films don't cast people like him anymore. Anyone who goes up against horror movie villains is either a teenager or a super-buff and hot protagonist. Part of Dr. Loomis' charm is that he's just this middle-aged, balding, slightly overweight doctor, but by God, he is going to kill Michael if it is the last thing he does!
